JoJo Siwa hasn’t forgotten about her “beef” with Candace Cameron Bure.
Remember a couple years ago when the Dance Moms alum revealed who the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever met was? Well, it just so happened to be the Full House alum — all because of an incident from when JoJo was younger and Candace supposedly refused to take a picture with her. The two attempted to hash things out shortly after that. But then months later, Candace became the face of Hallmark‘s competitor network called Great American Family — which she said “will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
JoJo, a proud member of the LGBTQ community, took issue with the decision and called Cameron out on Instagram soon after that reveal. She wrote at the time:
“Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
No kidding…

And now, on Monday’s installment of her JoJo Siwa Now podcast, the Karma singer addressed the “very, very public beef” she had with the TV star. She claimed:
“To me, personally, the rudest celebrity I’d ever met was Candace Cameron. She wasn’t nice to me when I met her. That doesn’t mean she’s an awful rude person. That just means that she was the rudest that I ever met. Whatever. [I] flashed it quick, thought no one was going to ever see it.”
JoJo then expressed regret over flashing Cameron’s image in the original TikTok, as the pair had “no real beef” at the time other than the photo-taking gripe. She then clarified her real intent was to “throw shade at a company that did me dirty,” and added:
“It goes back to wanting to stand up for my people but not wanting to create drama that doesn’t necessarily need to be there. But anyway, Candace and I talked about it. She was honestly pretty sweet to me about it. We talked publicly about it as well.”
But as we pointed out, things went back to square one when Candace announced her partnership with Great American Family — which JoJo does NOT approve of. She felt that Candace was “saying that traditional American marriage is not LGBTQ marriage,” and that LGBTQ marriage was not something Candace wanted to promote or even give attention to:
“Whether she meant to do that or not, she still did it, and it still stung the community. Of course, you know, we’re doing all this work to be more visible and out there for kids in the next generation to feel more normal.”
Ultimately though, JoJo said inciting beef with Candace via TikTok was “stupid and messy” and that there’s no hard feelings. But at the end of the days she’s not going to be the sitcom alum’s best friend, either! Siwa explained:
“Honestly, no real shade anymore to Cameron, I just wouldn’t have her on my podcast, you know what I mean? If I saw her, I would just not say hi.”
