Princess Catherine AKA Kate Middleton allegedly could not stand having to be around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shortly after Queen Elizabeth II‘s passing!
As you may recall, Catherine and Prince William were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a walkabout at Windsor Castle back in September 2022 to greet mourners and view the floral memorial set up outside of the castle following Queen Elizabeth’s death. The unexpected outing marked one of the first times that the entire “Fab Four” made an appearance together since Meghan and Harry left their roles as senior royals in 2020. And in a shocking turn of events, a source told Us Weekly that it was actually Prince William who extended the invite to the couple to join him and Catherine for the walkabout.

That was a huge step for the royals amid their bitter feud! And while everyone was hopeful at the time that this olive branch had meant the foursome called a truce, that was not the case. In fact, royal correspondent Robert Jobson said the public appearance was nothing more than an “illusion” of Meghan, Harry, Catherine, and William putting on a united front during that time of mourning.
In an excerpt from his upcoming book, Our King, published by Dailymail.com this week, the author claimed that Catherine felt extremely uncomfortable and hated appearing in front of the camera with Meghan and Harry since the couples were still not on good terms. He explained:
“Catherine later admitted to a senior royal that, such was the ill feeling between the two couples, the joint walkabout was one of the hardest things she’d ever had to do. Bear in mind this was before Prince Harry published Spare, the autobiography that not only revealed family secrets but laid bare his resentment of his brother. It was before the cloying Netflix documentary series he did with Meghan, and the succession of TV interviews in which he criticised the royal institution.”
Jobson added:
“If Catherine found it almost unbearable before all this to share a walkabout with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, then how — one has to wonder — do she and William feel about them now?”
Considering Prince William reportedly has some “strong feelings” about either of them attending King Charles III’s coronation, they do not seem to be too fond of Meghan and Harry right now – especially after the release of Spare!
