Avengers may rule the box office, but when Blade came out way back in 1998, there was no Marvel Studios, no Cinematic Universe, not even a Spider-Man!
And still, the obscure comic book about a half-vampire who killed vampires became a successful enough movie to launch a whole trilogy!

But with Wesley Snipes‘ legal issues, a change in ownership, and a total reimagining of Marvel movies, we never thought we’d see part four.
That is, until Wesley himself spilled that he had met with Marvel on the subject!
In a pre-Comic-Con interview released Thursday, Wesley was asked about the possibility of returning to the Blade franchise, and he revealed:
“The project is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things. I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air.”
That’s not exactly a green light, but it’s the most positive thing we’ve heard on the subject!
If he’s meeting with Marvel, maybe they do have a place for the Daywalker in their Cinematic Universe! Phase 4 perhaps?
We haven’t even seen Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, and we already know we’d LOVE to see them buddy up in a film!
Would YOU like to see Wesley Snipes return as Blade?
