We’ve heard extremes on both ends. A couple sources have said Justin body-shamed Blake with a comment about her weight! Even if he was trying to be tactful as we’ve heard, it was still horribly insulting to a woman who just gave birth to her fourth child. Others have said he was downright dictatorial and almost method acting as his abusive character. Yeesh.

On the other hand, production insiders have accused Blake and hubby Ryan Reynolds of hijacking the film from the less-well-known Justin so they could create a business opportunity for her.

We may never know the full extent either (or both) of these are true. But we have heard one juicy new tidbit. On her latest podcast DeuxMoi revealed she’s been getting tips about the movie set problems for months! Most of what she had in her back emails has already come out… Her sources mostly agreed Justin was tough to work with, with one saying he had a “huge ego” and wasn’t who he portrayed himself to be in public. Others corroborated the story about Blake and Ryan hiring their own editor out of pocket to make her cut of the movie — and though Justin’s tested better, Blake used her star power and friendship with author Colleen Hoover to get her way, telling Sony she wouldn’t promote the movie if they didn’t use her version. One even said she told them she’d get Taylor Swift to block them from using her song! DAMN!

But that’s all stuff we’ve pretty much heard before — not this one thing. An anonymous source from the set told Deux:

“Justin was a major d**k to everyone on set, and to top it off didn’t want any feedback from Blake when she had really great input. It got so contentious that they had to rehearse scenes apart with stand-ins and only actually saw each other for the actual scene shooting.”

Whoa! So when we’re hearing about factions developing on set, this wasn’t a secret thing. If these two wouldn’t even be on set together except for the filming when they absolutely had to, everyone would have known about it! Hell, she’s a producer on the movie, and he’s the director! This is worse than some of the other on-set conflicts we’ve followed lately then… and just might join the club of legendary star wars we’ve heard about over the years.

Here are a few other co-stars who refused to be on set together…

Jerome Flynn & Lena Headey

According to a tea-spilling Game Of Thrones crew member, Queen Cersei and Ser Bronn of the Blackwater are never in scenes together because the stars won’t even be in the same room!

Believe it or not, the two characters have never exchanged a word on the show, and have only ever been in the same shot once in a scene — without even looking at one another.

Fans will remember in the Season 7 finale Bronn leaves to “have a drink while the fancy folks talk.” And in Season 8, Episode 1 Cersei hires Bronn — but she sends her right hand man Qyburn to speak to him.

Rumor has it the actors, who briefly date IRL in 2002, had such a contentious breakup they now have to be kept apart at all costs.

We don’t know what they did to one another, but if they’re willing to make an entire TV production plan around them it must have been BAD.

The Rock and Vin Diesel

From their first meeting in Fast Five, Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs were on opposite sides of the law — but it turned out that animosity extended beyond the screen.

During the filming of the eighth movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, The Rock posted on social media about dealing with a “candy ass” on set. And it quickly became clear which costar he was talking about. Vin Diesel may have copped to the feud — but never to the initial reason. The closest we got was Johnson going on the record to Rolling Stone:

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

The result of all of this seems to have been the delay of FF 9, with The Rock’s spinoff with Jason Statham, Hobbs And Show, being pushed into production next — much to the chagrin of Tyrese Gibson, who started his own beef over the need to get paid on another of these films.

We doubt if The Rock will even return to the franchise proper, especially now that Vin has announced his wrestling rival John Cena is joining the next installment.
He finished his statement to RS:

“Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be. But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have… Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”

Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts

I Love Trouble is largely forgotten, but the feud at its center will live in Hollywood infamy.

The 1994 film, about two reporters facing down danger to uncover a major crime, was meant to evoke the screwball romantic comedies of the 1940s, with Roberts and Nolte playing hated rivals who end up teaming up and then falling in love. However the enmity between the two stars was all too real.

According to Julia, her costar was abrasive and threw tantrums on set — and she did everything she could to stay away. Eventually despite their onscreen romance, the two had to be filmed separately with stand-ins! Years afterward the Pretty Woman star was quoted as calling Nolte “completely disgusting” in a NY Times interview. Nolte responded by saying:

“It’s not nice to call someone ‘disgusting.’ But she’s not a nice person. Everyone knows that.”

DAMN.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

This one is shocking as the costars famously dated after this incident.
But director Nick Cassavetes spilled the tea from behind the scenes of The Notebook about how one day Ryan Gosling refused to shoot with future girlfriend Rachel McAdams. He told VH1:

“Maybe I’m not supposed to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set. Really not. And Ryan came to me, and there’s 150 people standing in this big scene, and he says, ‘Nick come here.’ And he’s doing a scene with Rachel and he says, ‘Would you take her out of here and bring in another actor to read off camera with me?’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this.'”

“I’m just not getting anything from this”?? And she still dated him after that?!
We mean, he is Ryan Gosling, but still…

Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes

For those of you who don’t even remember Blade: Trinity, let us take you back to a time before Marvel Studios had nailed the comic book movie formula…

In 1998, Wesley Snipes slayed as Marvel Comics’ resident vampire hunter in the action-packed Blade. But by 2004, he had gotten a bit… difficult, from what we’ve heard. He reportedly stayed in character and would only communicate to the director via notes signed “Blade.” In one scene he infamously refused to open his eyes, and his eyes had to be added in later with CG! Really!

Enter Ryan Reynolds…

Long before he was playing Deadpool, he was always basically Deadpool. He was an action hero in the making who couldn’t help himself from improvising and cracking wise on set, ad-libbing in his own jokes. Ryan may get paid the big bucks to do just that these days, but it was something Snipes supposedly couldn’t take. Word is, he would only come to set for his closeups for scenes with Ryan, leaving him to film everything else by himself or with a stand-in.

But 20 years later Ryan extended an olive branch to his former co-star, asking him to reprise the role of Blade for a surprisingly big role in Deadpool & Wolverine! So we guess they’re all good now!

Channing Tatum and Emma Watson

Both stars made appearances in Seth Rogen‘s star-studded apocalypse comedy This Is The End — but their cameos originally overlapped! Towards the end of the film, Channing Tatum appears in a gimp mask as the sex toy of Danny McBride.

Apparently Emma Watson was supposed to be in that scene, too. But word is she looked around at what was happening, and it was just too much. Of course, most of the wild debauchery was in the script — but according to an extra, Channing breakdancing in his leather sex mask made her walk off set and call her agent. Costar James Franco pretty much confirmed the story later, though he graciously never mentioned Emma by name, telling the story to Interview magazine:

“This actress — I won’t say who, but she had a smaller role in the film — walked off the movie in the middle of a scene. What was going on around her was, I guess, too extreme for her… And she said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got to leave.'”

We understand saying no to that kind of a scene when you’ve got a squeaky clean Hermione image you want to protect — but why agree to a script with a giant devil penis and an impaled Michael Cera (separate scenes, LOLz!) in the first place??

Helen Hunt And Bill Paxton

This one you’d never be able to tell by the movie — because it technically wasn’t in the movie!

Long before its sequel, Twister was one of the first modern disaster movies and still one of the biggest hits. And at the center of the 1996 flick was a His Girl Friday-style love story about two divorced meteorologists played wonderfully by Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

But things on set didn’t have quite so happy an ending…

Rumors flew at the time the stars didn’t get along behind the scenes — which couldn’t have been helped by the fact Hunt hated shooting the movie altogether.
Years later she described the “nightmare” to Huffington Post, saying:

“They didn’t paint in the hail with the computer. They made a hail machine and dropped giant balls of ice on us. I mean, it was crazy… They had firehoses pointed at us, and you couldn’t hear anything, which is not the safest way to make a movie, so I was really happy to make it through in one piece.”

We’re not sure how Bill Paxton made it worse, but the two apparently did NOT get along. But Helen Hunt has been an actress since she was a child, and she was a professional and did her job… until they decided to make a ride.

The Twister… Ride It Out ride was a mainstay at Universal Studios in Orlando for 17 years. If you rode, you probably remember the filmed bits before the ride began, in which Helen and Bill warned you about the power of wind — only they didn’t do it together.

Yep, the stars acknowledge one another on different TV screens, and this wasn’t done to make use of the space.

No, the stars reportedly wouldn’t even film the brief scripted interaction together and had to be shot separately.

But it’s not clear who he is, as he was only photographed from behind. An insider told the outlet:

“She looked incredibly happy — like she didn’t have a care in the world.”

Since Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce last year — opening the floodgates on a whole host of messy legal drama — the Yellowstone star has kept it pretty low-key on the dating front. OH, that is… except for the dating rumors surrounding him and Jewel!

Back in November, Kevin was caught looking very “flirty” with the Foolish Games singer on a Caribbean getaway. Weeks later, an insider told People the relationship was “not brand new” but that there was a “big attraction on both sides,” implying that they had been dating for some time. Things went quiet for a while after that until Jewel herself called Costner “a great person” in an interview with Elle in April — but didn’t confirm whether or not they were dating.

But now, Kevin has some more solid answers for us!

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, the Horizon: An American Saga star was asked if he’s “in love right now” and said a firm “NO.” When Howard told him he’d “heard rumors,” Kevin responded:

“I know, but that’s what they are.”

Asked specifically about Jewel, Costner finally broke it down:

“No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever. She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have. She’s special, I mean, she’s beautiful enough to go out with.”

Howard asked how the rumors all started, and The Bodyguard star dished that following his divorce, he finally took billionaire Richard Branson up on a decade-long invite to his island — so he hopped on a plane with nine other passengers, one of whom being Jewel, another being Emma Watson, and seven others “who weren’t celebrities.” He recalled about the singer:

“She was somebody that I just had some tremendous conversations with, along with Emma. But what happened was — the rumor was I went down there on a private plane with her, I went back on a private plane [with her]. I was on with nine people! And I don’t want the press to ruin this for us because I’ve had conversations with her text-wise and she’s so smart, and she’s been through a lot herself, and so we have a friendship. We don’t have a romance, and we’ve not dated. She’s beautiful and smart enough for all those things, it just has never happened for us.”

He added:

“She’s everything you might think, but it just hasn’t happened.”

On Wednesday, the disgraced Harry Potter author spiraled in an X (Twitter) tirade about Hilary Cass’ newly-published review on the effects of children medically transitioning. She called it “severe medical malpractice” in a series of posts, which you can read through (below) if you must:

Clearly, she and some of her followers feel vindicated by the review in their commitment to anti-trans ideologies. One user even suggested Daniel and Emma owe Jo an apology for their pro-trans statements:

But the 58-year-old made her feelings clear:

“Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”

Both Daniel and Emma have made their support for the trans community well known in the wake of J.K.’s anti-trans comments. Neither has responded to her social media post yet, nor do they ever really talk about the once celebrated creator anymore. It seems at this point all the author wants to do is wage a war of words against a very small minority whose right really don’t affect her life. Such a sad hill to die on for such an accomplished woman.

The 33-year-old Harry Potter alum last graced our screens in 2019 when she starred in the seventh (and some say best!) film adaptation of Little Women. While fans may miss seeing her on the big screen, Emma told British Vogue in a new interview she’s “so glad” she put a pause on her acting career! Why? Because she got the opportunity to pursue her other passions in life!

In recent years, she has dabbled in directing, even working on a fragrance commercial for Prada. The Beauty and the Beast star launched her own gin brand, Renais, with her brother Alex. And that’s not all! Emma enrolled in a creative writing MA program. She even wrote a play — though don’t expect her to give up any of the details of the project! The actress certainly has been a busy bee over these past four years! While Emma is happy to chase after these other dreams, the decision to push aside her movie star career was not an easy one.

All she ever knew was acting — something she began doing at the age of 10! So to begin a whole new path in life came with a ton of uncertainty for Emma. She explained to British Vogue:

“Because I’m in a career that moves very quickly, the decision to take time to do these things felt like a very big decision. [Choosing] to go back and write and study and get behind the camera was terrifying for me because I’d never done it before. I had always been in front of the camera; I’d always been an actor.”

But once she let go of her fears and pursued her other creative ventures, she realized that was the best choice she could have made for herself! After years of feeling as if the characters she played in the movies were “much realer” than she was, Emma said she finally got her “own voice” back during this sabbatical:

“I’m just so glad that I did [step away from acting] because I have this feeling of having my own voice and creative space and sovereignty in some way that I don’t think I did before – more autonomy. I’m so glad that I allowed things to be messy for a minute and to really allow myself to not know [what’s next], because the knowing that I’ve come to, I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”

What really made her time away from acting so special? Emma shared she was able to discover what truly brought her joy in life, noting she realized “success” didn’t always fulfill her:

“I get a front row seat [with] some of the most successful, beautiful, incredible people in the world, And when you have that seat it becomes very, very clear that there is just absolutely no level of success that will make you in any way happy or content if you do not like who you are or enjoy what you’re doing when no one’s watching.”

And when “no one’s watching” her, Emma enjoys not only doing her passion projects but prioritizing “really stupid things” or “the basics” — like playing pickleball, collecting stickers, and spending time with her dog, Sofia:

“I just look at her and I’m like, ‘Well, I’m happy and you’re happy.’ The thing that is so amazing about animals is they’re just so good at being. Food, humans, sleep – they’re very good at the basics. I feel like whenever I get really overwhelmed, I’m like, ‘Emma, just do the basics.’”

As for whether Emma will return to acting? Everyone will have to wait and see. But for now, it seems Emma is content exploring other dreams. Reactions, Perezcious readers? The outlet notes that the duo has been spotted recently enjoying the sunny summer weather in Venice, Italy. They’ve apparently been seeing the sights with pals and going around the city’s historic canals while getting to know each other.

One source said this about the new pairing with Walsh, who most recently “founded a tech consultancy firm in Los Angeles” before linking up with the actress:

“Emma loves a bloke who can match her intelligence. She is a very clever woman and her boyfriends have always been very brainy.”

The insider went on to explain that Emma and Ryan have had a connection for quite a while now, and have only recently begun to play it up in a more romantic fashion:

“Ryan is a very intelligent man, too, and Emma seems to be enjoying spending time with him. They have known each other for some time and now she is single she is making sure she enjoys herself.”

Great!

Of course, there’s never been any question about Emma’s intelligence. Considering she studied English literature at Brown University in the prestigious Ivy League, and is soon planning on returning to school to get her Master’s in creative writing at Oxford University back in England, she’s got more than enough brain power to boot!

The Harry Potter star, who famously played Hermione Granger across all eight film installments, is entering a new era of her career as she and her younger brother Alex Watson launch Renais, their new premium gin brand. You might not think of Emma and alcohol going together — but let’s just say, she’s the right woman for the job.

During an interview with Financial Times’ How To Spend It, the 33-year-old reflected on her own relationship with alcohol, admitting that within her household growing up, it wasn’t ever considered off limits. She explained: 

“I was quite surprised when other kids got really excited about the idea of getting their hands on alcohol. My dad would give me wine and water for lunch since I was a kid.”

Uhhh… She continued:

“So I was pretty confused as a teenager and everyone thought alcohol was a forbidden fruit.”

Emma was born and raised in Paris, where the legal drinking age is 18, but families are known to introduce their children to wine years before. So while it seems quite unorthodox here — and in the UK — it’s considered more of a common practice in France. 

This, of course, all comes on the tail end of Emma’s acting hiatus. Her last film, Little Women, debuted in 2019, and since, the activist has been taking time to prioritize her own happiness. She told HTSI of her lucrative acting career: 

“I wasn’t very happy, if I’m being honest. I think I felt a bit caged. The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over. To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’ It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.”

She continued:

“I was held accountable in a way that I began to find really frustrating, because I didn’t have a voice, I didn’t have a say. And I started to realize that I only wanted to stand in front of things where if someone was going to give me flak about it, I could say, in a way that didn’t make me hate myself, ‘Yes, I screwed up, it was my decision, I should have done better.’”

The Circle actress also just made her return to social media earlier this month for her 33rd birthday after not posting since December. In a series of Instagram uploads, she shared a few updates: 

“My brother and I joined forces @renaisspirits. I adopted Sofia in Mexico, who seems to be an angel not a dog. We filmed a Harry Potter reunion. I said goodbye to my Grandma and Grandpa. I retraced my steps. I started a women’s environmental investment fund.”

The 56-year-old actress sat down for an interview with The Sunday Times magazine over the weekend to discuss her career. But the topics veered far from the Ocean’s 8 star’s life and work, too. And at least a few of them are drawing some serious attention from readers.

For one, the London-born star used the interview to relay her thoughts on Johnny Depp. Of course, she’s worked alongside the Pirates of the Caribbean lead in several films, including Sweeney Todd. So she knows him a little bit better than most. Still, her take on his recent defamation trial involving ex Amber Heard was definitely one-sided.

Bonham Carter laid out how she believes Depp has been “completely vindicated” following a Virginia jury’s findings earlier this year that Heard defamed him. The 59-year-old actor was awarded millions by the jury, and while the case is still going through the appeals process, the Brit isn’t buying it.

The star — who was recently named the first female president of the London Library — said to the outlet:

“I think he’s fine now. Totally fine.”

“Totally fine”?!

The longtime actress also added more about her belief that the “pendulum” of the #MeToo movement had swung back against those who “jump on the bandwagon” in situations like Heard’s case against Depp. Using her words to shade Amber, Helena said:

“That’s the problem with these things — that people will jump on the bandwagon because it’s the trend and to be the poster girl for it.”

“These things”?? Whittling down the movement, which allowed women to speak about their own experiences with harassment and assault at the hands of men, to a vague bunch of nothing speaks volumes on her part.

And is she calling the actress a liar?

Bonham Carter wasn’t done there. She also slammed the vitriol sent to Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling about her controversial commentary over the last several years on the transgender community.

Enraged at what she believes was a coordinated attack on Rowling’s beliefs about transgender people, the Hollywood vet defended the author from accusations of transphobia. She also referenced the famed writer’s 2020 revelation that she is a survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault, saying the Harry Potter creator has been “hounded” by those online:

“It’s horrendous, a load of bollocks. I think she has been hounded. It’s been taken to the extreme, the judgmentalism of people. She’s allowed her opinion, particularly if she’s suffered abuse.”

The King’s Speech star went on:

“Everybody carries their own history of trauma and forms their opinions from that trauma and you have to respect where people come from and their pain. You don’t all have to agree on everything — that would be insane and boring. She’s not meaning it aggressively, she’s just saying something out of her own experience.”

Yet, Rowling turned her “own experience” into a blanket statement on trans women not being able to call themselves “women.”

Of course, Bonham Carter is very with Rowling’s work, as she starred as Bellatrix Lestrange in four Harry Potter films in the late 2000s. So she also offered up a take on other high-profile Harry Potter stars — including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint — who have spoken out against Rowling in recent years.

When asked if those cast mates were “ungrateful,” Bonham Carter offered:

“I won’t say that. Personally, I feel they should let her have her opinions, but I think they’re very aware of protecting their own fan base and their generation. It’s hard. One thing with the fame game is that there’s an etiquette that comes with it; I don’t agree with talking about other famous people.”
