We’re starting to learn a lot more about the alleged domestic violence incident which went down on Friday between Amber Portwood and her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon — and all we can say is WOW!!!
As we’ve been reporting, Portwood was arrested in Indiana on July 5 after an alleged violent altercation with her latest baby daddy while he was reportedly holding the couple’s child.

And now, as we’ve been covering early this week, Glennon has rushed to a judge to get an emergency court order for custody to prevent Portwood from returning home to their one-year-old child.
As it turns out, his rush for sole custody makes sense, because court docs are now revealing exactly what went down during the domestic incident, and it allegedly involves a machete!! WTF?!?!
According to court docs obtained by Radar Online, the Teen Mom OG star has officially been hit with two felony charges and one misdemeanor, including domestic battery, as well as criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon — a potentially very serious charge that could see Amber facing a fair amount of jail time.
Court docs published this week in Marion (IN) Superior Court confirm not only the charges, but also the exact moments the machete was allegedly involved in the altercation. The docs reveal more about the reason behind the criminal recklessness count (below):
“[Amber] struck the machete at and into a door, while Andrew Glennon was standing directly on the other side of the door, that created a substantial risk of bodily injury to Andrew Glennon.”
WHOA!!!
A freakin’ machete?! Where did she even get one of those???

And for the domestic battery charge, which is also a felony, court docs reveal more about the reality TV star’s actions and the consequences therein during the altercation, too (below):
“[Amber] knowingly touched Andrew Glennon, a family or household member, in a rude, insolent, or angry manner and Amber L Portwood committed said offense in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age, knowing that the child was present and might be able to see or hear the offense.”
Uh-oh…
After being booked into jail on Friday afternoon, Portwood was released about 24 hours later on Saturday, July 6 — but the interesting thing is that a “woman unrelated to Portwood” bailed her out with a $2,000 cash bond, and NOT her baby daddy Glennon. That makes more sense now, knowing what we know about the alleged attack.
Portwood is due back in court on Wednesday morning, BTW.
Lots of updates ahead, no doubt!!!
