The Fourth Of July holiday didn’t end too well for Amber Portwood.
According to reports, the Teen Mom OG star was arrested in Indiana for felony domestic battery charges!
Police are not revealing who the alleged victim is, per protocol, but they confirmed the 29-year-old was arrested on Friday just before 6:00 a.m. and is currently in a processing center.

A clerk at the Initial Hearing Court in Indianapolis told Radar Online:
“She’s not done with processing. She’s at intake right now.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the mother-of-two was put behind bars. In 2012, Portwood went to prison for 17 months for violating her probation in a drug possession case. At the time, she had a choice of going to prison or rehab, and she chose prison.
She was also arrested in 2010 on domestic violence charges after a fight broke out with her first baby daddy, Gary Shirley — who recently became a police officer, ironically.
In addition to substance abuse issues, the mother of one-year-old James and 10-year-old Leah has openly struggled with depression, borderline person disorder, and anger issues for years. She also suffered from severe postpartum depression after her son’s birth, and admitted she had contemplated suicide.
In a December 2018 episode of Teen Mom OG, Amber shared to her cousin:
“There was a night that I was waiting for [boyfriend Andrew Glennon] and James to go to bed so I could kill myself. And for some odd reason, he could feel it and he was like, ‘I’m not going to bed.'”
Portwood recently discussed her mental health conditions on her MTV show, where she admitted to often lashing out at her boyfriend and baby daddy, Andrew Glennon.
So, it’s very likely Glennon may have been the victim in Portwood’s domestic battery incident.
A big contributing factor to her mental state, according to the star, is the constant hate she receives on social media. Late last year, Amber took to Instagram to tell her followers she’s fed up with being called a “bad mom,” saying:
“I just really don’t understand how I’m a bad mom. I really don’t, I haven’t done anything to be a bad mom. I did literally something 10 years ago that people are still holding on to … Anything that I did nine or 10 years ago is something I did nine or 10 years ago but it is not something that should be thrown in my face. The only person who needs to forgive me is Gary and God, not you guys.”
Around the same time, the reality TV starlet told some of the executive producers on Teen Mom that filming the series was “depressing” and bad for her health.
We hope she gets the help she needs.
