Christina Aguilera takes Halloween VERY seriously — and she’s proving that with her wildly accurate Cher costume!
On Monday, one music legend paid homage to another when Xtina transformed into her Burlesque co-star completely for the spooky holiday. While referencing the characters from the 2010 film and channeling her inner Cher, Christina wrote in the caption of an Instagram video where she recreated one of their iconic scenes:
“Tess & Ali 4EVER”
LOLz! In a second post, the Genie in a Bottle songstress also wrote the sweetest message to her good friend:
“On my favorite day of the year it’s only right to turn back time and tribute the OG trailblazer @cher. Cher’s message through her music and style has left a permanent mark on the world and to this day, I still can’t believe I had the opportunity to work with such a legend!!!! No one could ever fill the shoes of the great & powerful Cher. The love and respect I have for you is endless.”
Aww! So sweet!
But the look the Beautiful singer channeled was from the classic If I Could Turn Back Time music video. She looked absolutely stunning in a black, skin-tight, leather bodysuit, complete with chain accents and fishnet tights. She had on a wig that was styled in ringlets just like Cher’s iconic hairdo, and even mimicked the 77-year-old’s pouty makeup look.
