On Wednesday, Better Homes & Gardens dropped a cover story about the 57-year-old star amid her new, quiet life on Vancouver Island, Canada. Amid the many things discussed was her new makeup routine — which is to say NO makeup routine. And as it turns out, fans love it! Surprised at how positive the reaction has been from her adoring throngs, Anderson explained to the mag:

“I have people stop me on the street now and say, ‘you know, I never liked you before, but I do now.’ And then I think, ‘Hmm, I know there’s a compliment in there somewhere.'”

Wow!

That’s definitely surprising. And hilarious of Pam to note it’s not quite a full-on compliment, either! LOLz! Some of y’all need to be careful about how you say this stuff!

Speaking more about it to the mag for their September 2024 Stylemaker issue, the Sonsie Beauty co-owner explained that the makeup-free look first came about because she really didn’t want “to sit in a makeup chair for three hours.” Girl, we get it! Pam went on:

“It just happened to be this silly thing. … I was appreciating it as this girl who lives on Vancouver Island that got plopped into these glamorous clothes. I felt like this little freckle-faced kid with a big, beautiful Vivienne Westwood hat on.”

The A-lister, who is releasing her I Love You cookbook in October, went on to explain that going without makeup was never about “striving for perfection.” Instead, she simply wanted to refresh her idea of beauty as it related to the new ways of her life:

“But somewhere along the way, I started thinking that I want to challenge the idea of beauty and this mask we put on. As soon as I took the mask off, the whole world opened up.”

The decision to ditch all the makeup ended up going a LOT deeper than just the surface level reaction, too:

“That was the beginning of me letting go of the image I had always had of myself. What is this cartoon character that I’d created? OK, that was fun. But I’m not that person anymore.”

And her family loves it, as well! She spoke to the mag about her sons — Dylan Jagger Lee, 26, and Brandon Thomas Lee, 28 — who are her co-owners in the Sonsie Beauty venture. And while the world may know her as Baywatch‘s ultimate babe, her boys just know her as mom:

“All the kids were always at our house. I cooked for everybody, pots of spaghetti for the neighborhood, and so my kids have always seen that part of me. … Those other things are the only things people think of their mom. ‘Yes, she’s been in Playboy. Yes, she’s done all these things, but we know who she is.’ It’s different now.”

In a video posted on TikTok Friday, the gymnast showed fans how she got ready for the women’s gymnastics all-around competition at the Paris Olympics the day before. (FYI, she won another gold medal at the event! Amazing!) As she put on her makeup, Simone ended up chatting about her experience with getting Botox for the first time for her 27th birthday earlier this year. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t great! So much so she refuses to get Botox again! Simone said:

“I have a funny story for you guys. So, for my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like, baby Botox, just right here in my T-zone, and I did not like it. So I haven’t got it again, and mind you that was back in March.”

You would think she’d just call it Blake Lively since that is her name… unless it isn’t! All along we thought her last name was Lively! But her birth certificate says it’s actually Brown, hence the company name! The Gossip Girl alum explained:

“Brown is my dad’s [last] name. My dad took Lively from my mom. I just thought that was really cool. I’ve only ever been called Blake Lively, but Blake Brown was on my birth certificate and it would show up in legal documents. It was always an identity that I never fully stepped into and it was the most intimate identity and people don’t really know anything about it.”

WHA??? So all this time the Green Lantern star was lying to us! Wow! LOLz! If you were wondering, this is NOT true of her sister Robyn Lively — her dad was her mother’s first husband, Ronnie Lively.

If you don’t remember, back in April, the Laguna Beach alum interviewed holistic medicine practitioner Dr. Ryan Monahan on her Let’s Be Honest podcast. During the chat, she was asking the doc about the healing aspects of the sun when she casually mentioned she doesn’t wear sunscreen! WHAT?! In fact, many listeners thought she was dismissing sunscreen altogether.

But in Wednesday’s episode of the Breaking Beauty podcast, she tried to walk that all back. Host Jill Dunn brought up “the elephant in the room,” telling the reality star:

“I need to ask you about sunscreen because this is a beauty podcast.”

She continued:

“I’m going to quote you ’cause I don’t want to mess that up. You said: ‘I don’t wear sunscreen. And anytime I do an interview, I get a lot of s**t when I admit that I don’t.'”

Cavallari then told the doc, as Jill reminded:

“‘Talk to me about the health benefits of the sun and maybe why we don’t need sunscreen.'”

The controversial doc went on to say that the sun can be “life-giving and nourishing” and that people need to spend more time outside like we used to to “work up your base coat in the sun.” He also suggested people use supplements that act like “internal sunscreen.” Huh… You can see why this was controversial, right?

Well, back on this week’s podcast, the Very Cavallari star said she was “happy you’re asking me about this,” arguing:

“A lot of times a conversation gets taken out of context and one little soundbite will get taken out, but that’s the beauty of having a podcast.”

She insisted she was never trying to diminish the importance of sunscreen, explaining:

“That conversation was geared towards the health benefits of the sun, which there are health benefits of the sun. We get vitamin D from the sun that can’t be argued.”

The Hills alum furthered:

“I did, however, say, ‘I don’t wear sunscreen.’ What I meant was it’s not part of my daily skincare routine. That’s on me.”

Um… She’s saying when she revealed she doesn’t wear sunscreen, she meant every day? As part of her daily routine?? That’s a far cry from what it sounded like, as it made much more sense in context that she was saying she doesn’t wear sunscreen WHEN SHE GOES OUT INTO THE SUN!

She also pointed out that she wasn’t trying to share medical advice (even though she was asking a holistic practitioner “doctor” to give her audience advice). She continued to defend herself:

“I was never once telling other people not to wear sunscreen. I was just saying what I do. I do, however, I have a tinted moisturizer with SPF. When I go on vacation, I put SPF on my face. I wear hats.”

OK, so when she’s going to be out in the sun, she does wear sunscreen? If only on her face? Why was she trying to dismiss it before then??

Kristin’s concerns around sunscreen stem from the fact “there are a lot of sunscreens with crap chemicals in them.” She opts for zinc oxide, which Michigan State University’s Center for Research on Ingredient Safety says acts as a “physical sunscreen” that can protect from “harmful UVA and UVB rays” without being absorbed into the skin. While she considers herself “mindful,” the 37-year-old clearly isn’t a huge fan of sunscreen though, adding:

“I’m from California and I am a sun baby, but I, in no way, shape or form, was encouraging other people not to wear sunscreen. It was more… just, this is what I do.”

Sure. But she’s saying what she does ON A PLATFORM. She’s an INFLUENCER. What does she expect but to be interpreted as telling people her beautiful, healthy skin is a result of zero sunscreen ever??

Also, again, she was chatting with a medical professional, one who was agreeing with her, so those lines got really blurred. With skin cancer being a very real concern, it’s no wonder fans had such a strong reaction to her interview!

But Kristin still isn’t taking accountability for discouraging the use of sunscreen. No, she’s blaming the drama on listeners misinterpreting the conversation — instead of agreeing that what she said was problematic.

Kristin clarified that the convo was meant to be “about the health benefits of the sun, because you can’t get vitamin D from the sun when you are lathered in sunscreen.” But according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, she’s still spewing misinformation. They claim that’s not true at all, detailing:

“UVB wavelengths happen to be the specific wavelengths that trigger vitamin D production in the skin. Nonetheless, clinical studies have never found that everyday sunscreen use leads to vitamin D insufficiency. In fact, the prevailing studies show that people who use sunscreen daily can maintain their vitamin D levels.”

This is why you should always refer to an expert on topics like this instead of influencers!

Trying not to stir up any more backlash, Kristin concluded the topic:

“I just think having those conversations is important. That’s all.”

So, like, she basically just doesn’t want to be attached to any of the controversy anymore, but her opinions haven’t changed at all? Hmm…

In a video posted to YouTube on Tuesday, Kristin is seen walking amongst the cacti in the desert when she suddenly runs into a shirtless Mark. Other shots feature the TikTok star lifting her in the air and wrapping his arms around her! Wow! And, of course, her new perfume is on full display during their hot interaction!

Interestingly, the commercial was shot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, back in February. That was the same vacation where Kristin and Mark hard launched their relationship on Instagram after getting caught by the paparazzi in the airport together! So it wasn’t just a romantic getaway! It was a work trip, as well.

For those curious about the actual product — and not just the sexy ad — here’s a quick breakdown. The brand’s page states the fragrance has “top notes of pink pepper and bergamot before flowing into a heart blend of rose, hibiscus, incense, and tobacco” and “atlas cedarwood, sandalwood, and upcycled orcanox” at the base. Kristin added in an interview with Dailymail.com she wanted something that embodied “soft femininity and strong masculinity”:

“I’m thrilled for it to be our first fragrance. It’s sexy, moody, complex and embodies the duality of soft femininity and strong masculinity. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever smelled before, and I cannot wait for everyone to wear this. I wanted to know what ingredients were in the fragrances I was using, but struggled to find a brand that offered that level of transparency. When creating Hard Feelings I knew I wanted to tell our customers everything in it so they can feel confident about wearing it.”

Over the weekend, the Only Murders In The Building star popped up on TikTok after a physician’s assistant from a Florida plastic surgeon’s office posted a video addressing ongoing speculation that the singer has undergone cosmetic work.

In the original video, PA Marissa Barrionuevo hit out with side-by-side photos of the actress’ face. One was from a few years ago, while the other was taken at the 2023 Golden Globes. Barrionuevo didn’t speculate on her own about what Selena may or may not have been done, but she did say this:

“I think she’s been through so much in her life, especially medically related, so I don’t think it’s fair to speculate whether or not she’s gotten cosmetic things done. At the end of the day, let’s just leave her be.”

So, she wants to leave Selena be… by making a whole post about it?! Girl, come on! And intention or not, with the PA’s post, the comparison was out there. It didn’t take long for fan speculation in the comments to run rampant.

On Saturday, the 32-year-old responded to the now-scrapped original video. She only shared a few words, but the Lose You To Love Me singer was honest and gut-wrenchingly candid in her take. Gomez denied having done any major plastic surgery, and wrote instead:

“Honestly, I hate this. I was on stripes because of flare up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.”

Ugh.

We’ve heard about the Botox before from Selena herself, so that checks out. And as E! News notes, many followers believe that Selena — who suffers from lupus, hence the “flare up” statement — may have made some sort of typo by writing “stripes.”

Regardless, Selena’s response came as such a shock to the PA that the woman actually shared a follow-up video with an apology in it! As part of that clip, Barrionuevo said:

But one of the happiest days of her life soon turned into a nightmare as she got ripped apart online over everything from her makeup to even her wedding dress. For the big day, Olivia wore a white, long-sleeved gown from Dolce & Gabbana. She told Vogue ahead of her nuptials that she “didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape or form” when she walked down the aisle and wanted something that “felt as serious” as the commitment of marriage. While the 32-year-old model was going for “beauty and simplicity” with her look, social media users had a lot of other words to describe it. Many took offense to her remarks, blasting the patriarchal message behind it. Fashion influencer Kennedy Bingham, specifically, claimed on TikTok that the way Olivia talked about the dress “went beyond just wanting something modest for herself and pushing this idea of what she thinks all brides should look like.” She also slammed the bride’s gown for giving “nothing,” lacking “personality,” and being designed by a brand with a history of racism, homophobia, and body shaming.

Damn!

Olivia and her hubby fired back at Kennedy, saying her comments were “evil” and “extremely hurtful.” No matter what the couple said, though, the criticism didn’t stop! TikToker Jess Weslie then said Olivia had “pick me” and “weird” vibes — just because she spoke about keeping her makeup natural for the wedding in Vogue. Oh, and that was not all. She and Christian also got blasted by his former Panthers teammate Cam Newton for not inviting him! Jeez.

As we said, her wedding got trashed left and right! But beyond defending herself in the comments, Olivia has not spoken out about the backlash. Until now! She reacted to the whole debacle for the first time in an interview with People on Thursday, saying:

“I wanted to feel like myself in every sense of the word. And I think that that’s where my decision to be more pared down came in.”

When Olivia started to get slammed online about her look, it came as a complete shock to her! She expressed:

“I was definitely very surprised. I feel like I personally like to give people the benefit of the doubt. And unfortunately, I feel like the words I said were spun out of context to fit an agenda that I did not have. I loved every part of my wedding because I love my husband and the people we got to celebrate that day with. The choices that I made are because I wanted to feel like they’re choices I could be proud of in 50 years. And that’s it.”

Despite what criticisms some have, she loved her dress at the end of the day. Olivia continued:

“Stylistically I had a vision. Stylistically, I felt like I was making a decision that was going to stand the test of time, and that’s it. I felt very comfortable in it, for what it’s worth. I was on the water and there was a very nice breeze.”

The reality star also made it clear she went for a look that she wanted and wasn’t trying to push the idea of what other brides should look like. Ultimately, she just feels all women should “stay true to” themselves when looking for a dress for their wedding:

“Stick to the vision you have in your head and don’t worry about anything else. No matter what you wear, no matter what your decisions are from your makeup to your hair, to the gown. You will look absolutely beautiful because it’s a beautiful day.”

She does not look happy at all. And her face does NOT look good. The swelling and the bruising looks so painful!! Ugh!

As you may recall, Brandi first began experiencing these facial swelling issues late last year. She was even rushed to the hospital at one point in October after her face blew up. Her eyes swelled shut in that ordeal, and she collapsed. So scary!!

Also, in her message, Brandi referenced how “stress will kill you.” And she does have a lot of Bravo-related stress going on in her life right now. Most notably, she’s been fighting with the network over the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip accusations made against her involving Caroline Manzo in Morocco.

After first bubbling up during filming in January of 2023, the fallout from that alleged Morocco incident has been a massively controversial ordeal for a long while. And that’s not even the only Bravo drama that Brandi is involved with right now! So, she’s gone from duking it out with Andy Cohen to blaming the entire network now. So yeah, we get that she’s stressed AF.

But at the same time… fans are super skeptical about stress being the source of the swelling.
