We’ve heard extremes on both ends. A couple sources have said Justin body-shamed Blake with a comment about her weight! Even if he was trying to be tactful as we’ve heard, it was still horribly insulting to a woman who just gave birth to her fourth child. Others have said he was downright dictatorial and almost method acting as his abusive character. Yeesh.

On the other hand, production insiders have accused Blake and hubby Ryan Reynolds of hijacking the film from the less-well-known Justin so they could create a business opportunity for her.

We may never know the full extent either (or both) of these are true. But we have heard one juicy new tidbit. On her latest podcast DeuxMoi revealed she’s been getting tips about the movie set problems for months! Most of what she had in her back emails has already come out… Her sources mostly agreed Justin was tough to work with, with one saying he had a “huge ego” and wasn’t who he portrayed himself to be in public. Others corroborated the story about Blake and Ryan hiring their own editor out of pocket to make her cut of the movie — and though Justin’s tested better, Blake used her star power and friendship with author Colleen Hoover to get her way, telling Sony she wouldn’t promote the movie if they didn’t use her version. One even said she told them she’d get Taylor Swift to block them from using her song! DAMN!

But that’s all stuff we’ve pretty much heard before — not this one thing. An anonymous source from the set told Deux:

“Justin was a major d**k to everyone on set, and to top it off didn’t want any feedback from Blake when she had really great input. It got so contentious that they had to rehearse scenes apart with stand-ins and only actually saw each other for the actual scene shooting.”

Whoa! So when we’re hearing about factions developing on set, this wasn’t a secret thing. If these two wouldn’t even be on set together except for the filming when they absolutely had to, everyone would have known about it! Hell, she’s a producer on the movie, and he’s the director! This is worse than some of the other on-set conflicts we’ve followed lately then… and just might join the club of legendary star wars we’ve heard about over the years.

Here are a few other co-stars who refused to be on set together…

Jerome Flynn & Lena Headey

According to a tea-spilling Game Of Thrones crew member, Queen Cersei and Ser Bronn of the Blackwater are never in scenes together because the stars won’t even be in the same room!

Believe it or not, the two characters have never exchanged a word on the show, and have only ever been in the same shot once in a scene — without even looking at one another.

Fans will remember in the Season 7 finale Bronn leaves to “have a drink while the fancy folks talk.” And in Season 8, Episode 1 Cersei hires Bronn — but she sends her right hand man Qyburn to speak to him.

Rumor has it the actors, who briefly date IRL in 2002, had such a contentious breakup they now have to be kept apart at all costs.

We don’t know what they did to one another, but if they’re willing to make an entire TV production plan around them it must have been BAD.

The Rock and Vin Diesel

From their first meeting in Fast Five, Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs were on opposite sides of the law — but it turned out that animosity extended beyond the screen.

During the filming of the eighth movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, The Rock posted on social media about dealing with a “candy ass” on set. And it quickly became clear which costar he was talking about. Vin Diesel may have copped to the feud — but never to the initial reason. The closest we got was Johnson going on the record to Rolling Stone:

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

The result of all of this seems to have been the delay of FF 9, with The Rock’s spinoff with Jason Statham, Hobbs And Show, being pushed into production next — much to the chagrin of Tyrese Gibson, who started his own beef over the need to get paid on another of these films.

We doubt if The Rock will even return to the franchise proper, especially now that Vin has announced his wrestling rival John Cena is joining the next installment.
He finished his statement to RS:

“Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be. But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have… Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”

Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts

I Love Trouble is largely forgotten, but the feud at its center will live in Hollywood infamy.

The 1994 film, about two reporters facing down danger to uncover a major crime, was meant to evoke the screwball romantic comedies of the 1940s, with Roberts and Nolte playing hated rivals who end up teaming up and then falling in love. However the enmity between the two stars was all too real.

According to Julia, her costar was abrasive and threw tantrums on set — and she did everything she could to stay away. Eventually despite their onscreen romance, the two had to be filmed separately with stand-ins! Years afterward the Pretty Woman star was quoted as calling Nolte “completely disgusting” in a NY Times interview. Nolte responded by saying:

“It’s not nice to call someone ‘disgusting.’ But she’s not a nice person. Everyone knows that.”

DAMN.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

This one is shocking as the costars famously dated after this incident.
But director Nick Cassavetes spilled the tea from behind the scenes of The Notebook about how one day Ryan Gosling refused to shoot with future girlfriend Rachel McAdams. He told VH1:

“Maybe I’m not supposed to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set. Really not. And Ryan came to me, and there’s 150 people standing in this big scene, and he says, ‘Nick come here.’ And he’s doing a scene with Rachel and he says, ‘Would you take her out of here and bring in another actor to read off camera with me?’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this.'”

“I’m just not getting anything from this”?? And she still dated him after that?!
We mean, he is Ryan Gosling, but still…

Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes

For those of you who don’t even remember Blade: Trinity, let us take you back to a time before Marvel Studios had nailed the comic book movie formula…

In 1998, Wesley Snipes slayed as Marvel Comics’ resident vampire hunter in the action-packed Blade. But by 2004, he had gotten a bit… difficult, from what we’ve heard. He reportedly stayed in character and would only communicate to the director via notes signed “Blade.” In one scene he infamously refused to open his eyes, and his eyes had to be added in later with CG! Really!

Enter Ryan Reynolds…

Long before he was playing Deadpool, he was always basically Deadpool. He was an action hero in the making who couldn’t help himself from improvising and cracking wise on set, ad-libbing in his own jokes. Ryan may get paid the big bucks to do just that these days, but it was something Snipes supposedly couldn’t take. Word is, he would only come to set for his closeups for scenes with Ryan, leaving him to film everything else by himself or with a stand-in.

But 20 years later Ryan extended an olive branch to his former co-star, asking him to reprise the role of Blade for a surprisingly big role in Deadpool & Wolverine! So we guess they’re all good now!

Channing Tatum and Emma Watson

Both stars made appearances in Seth Rogen‘s star-studded apocalypse comedy This Is The End — but their cameos originally overlapped! Towards the end of the film, Channing Tatum appears in a gimp mask as the sex toy of Danny McBride.

Apparently Emma Watson was supposed to be in that scene, too. But word is she looked around at what was happening, and it was just too much. Of course, most of the wild debauchery was in the script — but according to an extra, Channing breakdancing in his leather sex mask made her walk off set and call her agent. Costar James Franco pretty much confirmed the story later, though he graciously never mentioned Emma by name, telling the story to Interview magazine:

“This actress — I won’t say who, but she had a smaller role in the film — walked off the movie in the middle of a scene. What was going on around her was, I guess, too extreme for her… And she said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got to leave.'”

We understand saying no to that kind of a scene when you’ve got a squeaky clean Hermione image you want to protect — but why agree to a script with a giant devil penis and an impaled Michael Cera (separate scenes, LOLz!) in the first place??

Helen Hunt And Bill Paxton

This one you’d never be able to tell by the movie — because it technically wasn’t in the movie!

Long before its sequel, Twister was one of the first modern disaster movies and still one of the biggest hits. And at the center of the 1996 flick was a His Girl Friday-style love story about two divorced meteorologists played wonderfully by Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

But things on set didn’t have quite so happy an ending…

Rumors flew at the time the stars didn’t get along behind the scenes — which couldn’t have been helped by the fact Hunt hated shooting the movie altogether.
Years later she described the “nightmare” to Huffington Post, saying:

“They didn’t paint in the hail with the computer. They made a hail machine and dropped giant balls of ice on us. I mean, it was crazy… They had firehoses pointed at us, and you couldn’t hear anything, which is not the safest way to make a movie, so I was really happy to make it through in one piece.”

We’re not sure how Bill Paxton made it worse, but the two apparently did NOT get along. But Helen Hunt has been an actress since she was a child, and she was a professional and did her job… until they decided to make a ride.

The Twister… Ride It Out ride was a mainstay at Universal Studios in Orlando for 17 years. If you rode, you probably remember the filmed bits before the ride began, in which Helen and Bill warned you about the power of wind — only they didn’t do it together.

Yep, the stars acknowledge one another on different TV screens, and this wasn’t done to make use of the space.

No, the stars reportedly wouldn’t even film the brief scripted interaction together and had to be shot separately.

It had felt like the man who wouldn’t be king was the lone holdout when it comes to admitting Game Of Thrones totally blew the landing. We’ve heard Emilia Clarke, Natalie Dormer, Lena Headey, Gwendoline Christie, Conleth Hill, and Maisie Williams all admit to varying degrees to having issues with how the show went the last couple seasons and particularly the finale.

But this was Jon Snow! He LOVED Thrones. And he was coming back for a sequel series! So he was never going to agree it didn’t work out… and yet. Here he is!

Speaking with GQ on Monday, he conceded some of the criticism was spot on, particularly that the ending was rushed. Though with the concession he also added how he doesn’t think there was a solution to that particular problem:

“I think if there was any fault with the end of Thrones, is that we were all so f**king tired, we couldn’t have gone on longer. And so I understand some people thought it was rushed and I might agree with them. But I’m not sure there was any alternative. I look at pictures of me in that final season and I look exhausted. I look spent. I didn’t have another season in me.”

Huh. That’s an interesting point we hadn’t considered. We always thought he was the one cast member who was ready to stay in Westeros forever! We guess not!

As far as the much-derided ending, he may not be willing to make specific attacks — but he agrees at least that it was far from perfect:

“Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think there were mistakes made, story-wise, towards the end maybe. I think there were some interesting choices that didn’t quite work.”

That’s one way to put it! Certainly with the amazing work being put in by the cast and craftspeople toward the end, we get why he’d be hesitant to do any outright bashing. So that may be as brutal as it gets from Kit.

But it’s interesting to hear how important it was to him not to put out any other questionable quality GOT material. When asked what the heck happened to his spinoff that seems to have been canceled, he said:

“What I can tell you is it was HBO that came to me and said, ‘Would you consider this?’ My first reaction was no. And then I thought there could be an interesting and important story about the soldier after the war. I felt that there might be something left to say and a story left to tell in a pretty limited way. We spent a couple of years back and forth developing it. And it just didn’t… nothing got us excited enough. In the end, I kind of backed out and said, ‘I think if we push this any further and keep developing it we could end up with something that’s not good. And that’s the last thing we all want.'”

Certainly the last thing Thrones fans wanted after Season 8 was something that didn’t feel quite right.

For the Game of Thrones star, sobriety hasn’t been something that came easy. Back in 2019, he checked into rehab to deal with the stress of the famous HBO series ending and his alcohol abuse. But with some necessary work, he managed to come out the other side a new man! Amazing!

But just how bad was it before? Well, he’s now giving insight into those dark days. During an interview with GQ Hype published on Monday, the 37-year-old opened up about his journey to sobriety:

“The very fact that I can be proud of [sobriety] is an achievement. Because before getting sober, I would stare in the mirror and call myself a c**t. I’d hate myself. I would literally despise myself and not be proud of anything I’d done. I couldn’t be proud.”

Whoa!!

We’ve long heard rumors about what he would get up to while out drinking… and let’s just say the Old Gods would NOT have approved. So if there’s any truth the them, we’re not surprised to hear how ashamed he is of his old ways.

Back when he checked into rehab amid GoT’s ending, a friend explained his decision to Page Six:

“He realized ‘this is it — this is the end.’ It was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, ‘what next?’”

He was on the show for nearly a decade, so we can understand that… But there was so much else to cherish! Namely, his lovely wife Rose Leslie and the two kids they would go on to welcome together! Harington told GQ on Monday:

“So the fact that I am proud of getting sober is in and of itself a mark of being an entirely different person. And now, every set I step onto, whatever work I do, I’m proud of, because I know I put everything into it. Whereas before I had this huge monkey on my back that was just, like, weighing me down. So yeah, the whole nature of being proud of myself is a relatively new prospect for me.”

We’re so glad to hear he’s gotten to where he is today. As for what the future holds, he admitted:

“Look, I can’t tell what the future brings. I might have one massive, messy, chaotic relapse, and I hope that doesn’t happen. But I think I protect myself by talking about it.”

The Last of Us star took part in The Hollywood Reporter‘s Drama Actors Roundtable last week, and the convo moved to talking about fan interactions. Succession star Kieran Culkin mentioned not liking being touched by fans who thought they could grab him in the street. Poppa Pedro did him one better. He revealed fans gave him an infection!

Yes, he explained to the laughter of his fellow TV stars that it was all about how fans wanted to take pics with him:

“I remember, earlier on, because of Game of Thrones and the way my character died, people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes.”

Fans will no doubt remember the most famous death on the show, in which Prince Oberyn’s head was crushed by the Mountain — eyes first. He continued:

“At first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, and I’d let them! In New York, of all places!”

The problem is, they would actually put their fingers in his eyes! Unfortunately someone didn’t wash their hands too well before the impromptu interaction. The 48-year-old recalled:

“And then I remember getting a bit of an eye infection.”

Oh no! So gross to think about what went into his eye! Fortunately (or unfortunately for thirsty fans) he doesn’t let people do whatever they want to his body when taking pics anymore! LOLz!

Frankly, considering her feelings toward the way that show ended, we can’t say we’re shocked that she didn’t tune back in. But she made clear it’s not about fear that it’ll be bad or bitter feelings. She said:

“It’s too weird! I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m so over the moon of all the awards.”

She also called co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik, who directed her on GoT, “brilliant” and “wonderful” — and we know she has a lot of love for star Matt Smith… But when it comes to actually sitting down and binging more Westerosi content, it’s a hard pass. She explained:

“I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange. It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘Do you want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? You want to go back to that school reunion?’ That’s kind of how it feels. I’m avoiding it.”

Sounds like she has no interest in ever watching. We mean… we certainly wouldn’t want to attend that school reunion! How about you??

Jeremy Clarkson is known for not giving any f**ks, but wow this latest diatribe about Meghan Markle is on another level.

The former Top Gear host wrote a column for UK paper The Sun over the weekend in which he described his burning hatred for the Duchess of Sussex. He declared in the op-ed that he hated Meghan “on a cellular level,” specifically comparing his feelings for her to Rose West, a female serial killer in the UK in the ’80s. And guess what? He hates Meghan more than an actual murderer!!

Beyond just calling out specific behavior as unbefitting a Royal or anything so civilized as that, he instead giddily described wanting to see her stripped naked and tortured like Queen Cersei in Game Of Thrones:

“At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.”

Yeah. Wow. Ipso, the independent press standards organization, told the BBC Friday’s article racked up over 6,000 complaints over the weekend. To put that in context, all of last year, Ipso only received 14,000 complaints for everything put together. For the entire year 2021.

First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon was also mentioned in the article as another woman Jeremy hates. She told The Times about the piece:

“I think what he said about Meghan Markle was deeply misogynist and just downright awful and horrible. My overwhelming emotion about guys like Jeremy Clarkson is pity. I mean, what is it that makes somebody so distorted by hate that they end up writing these things? I think that possibly gives an insight into Jeremy Clarkson and the kind of person he is. So maybe he just needs to take a step back from things and just think about life a bit more.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan blasted the op-ed on Twitter, saying:

“As Jeremy Clarkson should well know – words have consequences. The words in his piece are no joke – they’re dangerous and inexcusable. We are in an epidemic of violence against women and girls and men with powerful voices must do better than this.”

It’s a really good point. The Grand Tour host may just be spouting garbage, just words and imagery, grotesque as it may be. But there are those who listen to this kind of talk and take action. More than ever, it seems.

Even Jeremy’s own daughter Emily Clarkson added her voice to the choir of disgust, writing on Instagram:

“My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media. I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle, and I remain standing in support of those that are targeted with online hatred.”

By Monday morning Jeremy apparently got the message. The 62-year-old posted an apology on Twitter, writing:

“Oh dear. I’ve rather put my foot in it. In a column I wrote about Meghan, I made a clumsy reference to a scene in Game of Thrones and this has gone down badly with a great many people. I’m horrified to have caused so much hurt and I shall be more careful in future.”

Over the weekend the 25-year-old finally gave her REAL opinion on the end of Game Of Thrones. Of course, it’s possible before now she was just too close to it. Reading a script full of action and emotions you’ll have to play is a far cry from tuning in for an hour on Sundays.

But three years later the actress who brought Arya Stark to life actually sat down and watched the whole show only as a fan — maybe to get hyped for House of the Dragon, as a lot of people did. And when she got to those last couple seasons, well, she had the same experience as a lot of viewers did.

The revelation came as Maisie sat down with her brother Talfuin live on his Twitch channel. She was answering fan comments when someone perhaps jokingly said, “u should watch game of thrones,” to which she responded:

“You know, I rewatched it all recently. Erm, it was… It definitely fell off at the end.”

She may be willing to admit the show didn’t finish as the masterpiece everyone hoped, but she was still enjoying the rewatch quite a bit:

“But it started really strong. I was heartbroken when Ned died, and I knew it was coming. For the first time, I could really feel the story.”

Knew it was coming? You were there! LOLz! We’re just glad to finally be able to commiserate with Maisie, as we’re sure many fans who didn’t dig the end of the show are as well. That cast really deserved better than what, by all accounts, was a bit of a rush job from showrunners who wanted to move on to other things.

We just wish this bold response could have come earlier, maybe as part of her Hot Ones interview or something! But we guess at that time everyone was still tiptoeing around the subject of Jon Snow and the Night King and Daenerys. Well, except for Daenerys herself, who has spoken about this a few times.

The popular Game Of Thrones actress suffered two nearly fatal brain aneurysms in 2011 and 2013. And in a new in-depth interview that was released on Sunday, the London-born star shared with the world just how miraculous her recovery really was.

Speaking on BBC‘s interview series Sunday Morning, Khaleesi recalled suffering her first life-threatening aneurysm back in 2011, very soon after she wrapped filming for the first season of the memorable TV series. The aneurysm required immediate brain surgery. The aftermath of that forced Emilia to endure “the most excruciating pain,” as she told the outlet over the weekend.

A second aneurysm in 2013 required another lengthy recovery period amid filming seasons of GoT. Clarke previously explained the ordeal in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker in which she revealed that she couldn’t remember her own name for a long time as she recovered.

She seems so healthy these days, you’d be forgiven for thinking these aneurysms weren’t as dangerous as they were. But in this new interview about the health scare, Clarke revealed that “quite a bit” of her brain is still “missing” now, even years afterward. She explained:

“There’s quite a bit missing, which always makes me laugh. Because strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second it’s gone. So the blood finds a different route to get around, but then whatever bit is missing is therefore gone.”

Emilia is very, very lucky, telling the outlet doctors have been amazed at her recovery in light of how much brain activity she lost following the aneurysms. Most people who suffer this kind of loss lose memory, speech, motor function, that kind of thing. The Last Christmas star explained:

“The amount of my brain that is no longer usable, it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions. I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”

Wow.

The actress famously played Daenerys Targaryen on the hit HBO series throughout the ordeal. In fact, Emilia credits her Game of Thrones work with helping her get through such a difficult period in her life:

“Its was the most excruciating pain. It was incredibly helpful to have Game of Thrones sweep me up and give me that purpose.”

The importance of purpose! Being pushed to move and remember lines and raise her dragons really did help.

The star has put her experience to good use for others, too. Emilia has since started a charity for brain injury and stroke victims called SameYou. With her positive personal outlook, the 35-year-old is focused on moving forward:

“I thought, ‘Well, this is who you are. This is the brain that you have.’ So there’s no point in continually wracking your brains about what might not be there.”

And move forward, she has: she is currently starring in a modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov‘s play The Seagull at the Harold Pinter Theatre, a major milestone in Clarke’s career, as it marks her West End debut.

Such a very hopeful follow-up to what was an unbelievably challenging time in the star’s life. What inspiring resilience!
