After the NFL all-star/infamous murder suspect passed away earlier this year in April, his four surviving children are turning his ashes into a fashion statement. Attorney Malcolm LaVergne told TMZ on Monday that O.J.’s ashes have been made into cremation jewelry so they can carry him around with them everywhere they go… Whoa!

O.J. is father to Arnelle, 55, and Jason, 54, whom he shared with ex-wife Marguerite Whitley, as well as Sydney, 38, and Justin, 36, whom he shared with the late Nicole Brown Simpson. He also shared daughter Aaren with Marguerite, but she passed away in 1979.

LaVergne revealed the cost of the death certificate, the cremation, and turning the ashes into jewelry amounted to $4,243.06. It’s not clear what kind of jewelry O.J.’s kids had his ashes turned into, but typically remains are made into pendants to wear on necklaces, charms for bracelets, or as gemstones for rings. The practice is surprisingly becoming more common — though LaVergne told the outlet he did not want a piece of O.J. jewelry for himself. Huh.

That super exciting and unexpected news came out very casually on Thursday’s episode of her podcast Coffee Convos, during which she was wearing a big sparkler on THAT finger! Her co-host, Lindsie Chrisley, pointed out the diamond ring and openly wondered what happened:

“Are you married?”

The Teen Mom 2 alum quickly clarified for Lindsie and listeners:

“No, I’m not married. This is the ring that they give you before you get married.”

So, why hasn’t she said anything about it yet?! Well, Kailyn’s been downplaying the exciting update because she claims that there was no formal proposal. She recalled her beau was always asking, “when are we going to get married?” But for a while, she was never “taking him seriously.” The mom of seven said:

“I was just like, ‘We’ll play this by ear. I’ll let you know, if you have a ring one day, we’ll reevaluate.’”

She continued:

“And then one day he just showed up with a ring.”

Awww!!!

Because they have both been married in the past — Kailyn to Javi Marroquin from 2012 to 2017 and Elijah to Kayla Brooke from 2018 to 2020 — the groom-to-be didn’t even get down on one knee! The reality star dished:

“We’ve both been married already, so we both don’t care about the whole, ‘get on one knee and make it all romantic and stuff.’ […] Because that’s just not how we are … He came into the bathroom one day while I was getting ready and he gave me the ring … I was like, ‘Oh my God, thank you!’”

The 16 and Pregnant alum added that she “doesn’t like being the center of attention” and “would have been happier if he had left the ring on the table and walked out.” LOLz! That’s not romantic at all!

The three words had a special meaning for the pair back then, as Lopez herself explained to Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe way back in November of 2022. She noted at the time:

“That was how [Ben] would sign his emails when we started talking again. Like, ‘don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.'”

Yeah, well, he’s going somewhere now! That engraving really didn’t end up proving true, sadly. Oh, and we now know that he’s not getting it back, either! Jennifer is going to keep the diamond ring for herself here — just like she kept the last one!

As Perezcious readers will recall, the filmmaker popped the question to his ex-wife with a rare 8.5-carat green cushion-cut diamond ring (pictured above) worth roughly $5.6 million. What made the gorgeous sparkler super special? The Maid In Manhattan star previously shared that green is her “lucky color.” Unfortunately, her green diamond turned out to be unlucky. This week, Jennifer filed to end their two-year marriage. Oof.

Given how things turned out between her and Ben, one would think she wouldn’t want any possible painful reminders of him moving forward like the ring. However, returning jewelry is not the J.Lo way! You know, that 6.1-carat pink diamond from Harry Winston. Yeah, she still has it all these years later — something that seemed cute when we thought they were getting back together forever. Now, she’ll have a new Ben ring to add to her collection. Lorel Diamonds’ engagement ring specialist, Laura Taylor, told Dailymail.com on Wednesday:

“Jennifer Lopez has amassed a remarkable collection of engagement rings over the years, each representing a different chapter in her life. In the United States, engagement rings are typically considered gifts, meaning J.Lo is legally entitled to keep the ring after the divorce unless agreed otherwise in a prenup.”

Shockingly, Ben and Jennifer do NOT have a prenup nor have they hashed anything out when it comes to money. But, as Laura referenced, engagement rings are considered to be separate property and the courts will typically rule in favor of the recipient of the ring in the divorce. The argument is that it’s seen as a present before marriage and thus it belongs to the recipient, even if the relationship comes to an end. Some women return them on principle. Some keep them on principle! So based on past behavior, in all likelihood the green engagement ring is staying with Jennifer!

According to Laura, if the Let’s Get Loud singer keeps it, her collection altogether will be “worth an estimated $17 million.” Damn! Jennifer’s “most expensive” and treasured ring is the $6.5m blue diamond from Marc, though. Laura shared:

“The most expensive ring she has kept is the blue diamond ring from Anthony, which she described in a 2021 interview as her most treasured piece of jewelry, even more so than the pink diamond Ben gave her during their first engagement. While her latest engagement ring is certainly beautiful, I suspect that the engagement ring from Anthony will still hold the top spot for her.”

Not even Ben’s two rings are #1, it’s Marc’s! Wow! Why? It’s the most “sentimental” ring in her collection. Laura explained:

“She was married to Marc for ten years, and they share two children from that marriage, so I think it is a lot more sentimental for her, not to mention it being the most expensive in her collection thanks to the size, quality, and it being one of the rarest colored diamonds in the world, just ahead of green diamonds.”

Even if her latest ring from Ben doesn’t steal the top spot, there’s no denying it’s stunning! It’ll make a great addition to her collection…

A wife-to-be’s worst nightmare came true for TikTok creator Chloé Miller back in 2022! Her engagement ring went missing right before she had the chance to get married! In an interview published on Monday, the 26-year-old spoke with People to recall what a nightmare losing her ring was amid a packed grad school schedule:

“I had been gone for eight hours prepping for a big exam I had the following day. I had left the ring in my ring dish on my bedside table. I am known to lose everything and at the time, I did not have the diamond insured! I was absolutely devastated because I felt so irresponsible”

Chloé and her man were living in a long distance relationship at the time with her going to school at Georgia Tech and him working in Florida. And she was SO stressed she said she had her mom break the news to her husband-to-be!

After spending some time turning the house upside down she found the ring — but the diamond was missing from the setting! And she quickly pointed fingers at her Australian Shepherd Charlie. She told the outlet:

“She must have smelled it. I assumed she was chewing on it for some time. This is, unfortunately, not the only time she has got into jewelry. She does not chew up ANYTHING else except jewelry. We did a lot of research to determine when we should start getting concerned. She is an incredibly smart dog and I think she knew we were searching for it because she was pooping up to 6-8 times the following two days. We had agreed to go to the vet the following Monday if it hadn’t passed. As well, we couldn’t be 100% sure that the diamond wasn’t in some carpet or blankets, so we were turning the house upside down. Obviously, I was concerned for her health, but I will say I was an absolute wreck and pretty upset with her at the time.”

Chloé explained her man “immediately” drove over from Florida to help her search for the diamond, and that means exactly what you think. Two days after it went missing, he found it… in Charlie’s poop:

“She swallowed the diamond on a Thursday, and the diamond passed on Saturday morning. The only damage was on the prongs of the ring. Since then I have gotten the ring fixed and diamond reset in a stronger setting. I look back on that video and remember how upset I was in the moment, but to this day, we still joke about it with friends and family and even brought it up at the wedding. It is truly part of our love and family story.”

Update!!! Fiancé came in town to help with the dirty deed. After about 30 hours, charlie had the most expensive shit of her life ???? now time to get it fixed!
