If you haven’t kept up with the drama online, here’s the deal. Last year, screenshots of the 23-year-old TikTok star repeatedly using the N-word on the website ASKfm back in 2014 appeared on the “Alix Earle Snark” page on Reddit. However, it wasn’t until a year later, when the posts resurfaced on TikTok and other subreddits this month, that Alix started facing a ton of backlash online.

What made the whole situation worse? Not only did she remain silent on the offensive comments when the controversy started, but she allegedly trademarked them to stop others from continuing to share them! Yeah, you read that correctly. According to two podcasters, Alix TRADEMARKED her posts using a racial slur! What the f**k.

Jessi Smiles and Lily Marston claimed in their Do We Know Them? podcast earlier this month that the content creator’s legal team accused them of violating their copyright when screenshots of her racist posts popped up in their subreddit — which they do not own or moderate. Jessi explained:

“Her lawyer contacted us and said that we have violated their copyright. People posted screenshots of [her racist posts] in our subreddit, and her lawyer said that they have a trademark to that. We don’t moderate it, we don’t have any access to it.”

In what world does someone think it was OK to trademark that?! Especially when that same person hadn’t even apologized or at least said something about their problematic comments at that time! What a disgusting move. Watch the podcast episode (below):

Now, after weeks of silence, Alix is speaking out about the controversy in a statement posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday. First off, Braxton Berrios’ girlfriend admitted she DID use the racial slur multiple times and apologized for the “hurt” she caused. She wrote:

“A couple of weeks ago, screenshots surfaced from my old ask.fm account showing me using a slur in the summer of 2014. I am taking accountability and want to make it clear that I was 13 years old and did not understand the deeply offensive meaning behind that word. That is no excuse for using that word in any context or at any age. That is absolutely not the way I speak or what I stand for. I am deeply sorry that my words have hurt many and have led people to believe that I have any prejudice in my heart. I promise you that could not be further from the truth. My platform has always focused on positivity, entertainment, and uplifting others, and will continue to do so. I am sincerely sorry to those I have offended.”

As for why she took so long to address the scandal? Alix claimed she received bad “advice” not to say anything:

“I regret how I handled this situation, allowing too many people to talk me out of saying something for too long. I wasn’t sure how to handle it and unfortunately the advice I was given, although well intended, was wrong. There is no one to blame but myself for not standing my ground and going with my gut to speak right away. In the absence of my addressing this, my silence allowed others to fill the void with rumors that simply aren’t true.”

As we mentioned, one of those claims was that she trademarked her older posts. However, Alix insisted that part is “absolutely ridiculous and untrue.” Hmm. She continued:

“Another is that a brand announced they are no longer working with me, even though we have never been in conversations with them about a partnership in any capacity. Regardless of what’s being said online, I wanted to come on here to address the facts and most importantly apologize.”

After the statement dropped, Jessi and Lily addressed her claim that she never trademarked her posts — with receipts. They told Variety on Monday night:

“While we cannot speak to the legitimacy or existence of any trademarks or copyrights, we can confirm that we received an email from an entity identifying itself as WEB SHERIFF. This entity claimed to act as the rights agent for Alix Earle, and had written the email to notify us of 11 different alleged infringements and violations. The email was signed by John E. Henehan LL.B., who asserted under penalty of perjury that he is ‘either the intellectual property rights owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owners of the exclusive rights that are allegedly infringed.’”

The two continued:

“The email referenced a user created post on a fan-run subreddit for our podcast, a page over which we have no authorship or control. The post in question, linked within the email, featured screenshots of Earle’s unfavorable past comments on AskFM, which had already been circulating online. The email purports that this post is guilty of a laundry list of violations including but not limited to Copyright Infringement, Human Rights Violations, and Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering Violations. It’s important to note that we received this notice despite every post on the subreddit featuring a clearly visible disclaimer stating that we are in no way affiliated with the subreddit or any of its content. In fact, we were unaware of the existence of the post in question prior to receiving this email notification.”

Jessi and Lily went on to point out that the email potentially “was sent without her knowledge or authorization,” adding:

“If that is the case, while unfortunate and out of her control, it would certainly be in her best interest to clarify that to set the record straight.”

Taking to the popular “Am I The A**hole” Reddit group last week, a 15-year-old named Boris explained he has “mild cerebral palsy” and often needs to use a cane or crutches to help him walk. Before his eldest sister Sophia’s wedding, she asked him to use a black cane to match the black-and-white aesthetic of her ceremony. Boris completely understood her request since the one he uses is “covered in stickers.” So, to be on theme, he wrapped it up “in black tape,” which his big sis “was happy with.”

All was well from there, right? Well, not really. Things didn’t go as planned on the day of the nuptials. The teenager said he was “having a very ‘off’ day” as his “legs hurt” and his “balance was way off.” It was so bad he had to use his crutches (“which are blue”) for the ceremony. At the time, Boris “figured it would be fine.” And it should have been! The teen needed the extra support from the crutches that day! His family — especially his own sister — should understand and be cool with it! However, they were the complete opposite of “fine” with it!

When the reception started, he claimed Sophia was “awfully offended that I was using my blue crutches and asked if I could just stay seated and not have the crutches out to not ‘ruin the color scheme.’” What the f**k?!?! Understandably, Boris “was frustrated” with his sibling — but he “did it” anyway. By the time the family got to the pictures, though? He’d had enough of her attitude!

According to Boris, his sister complained to their mom that he was “ruining the pictures” since he was “heavily relying” on the “crutches for balance” by then. When he stood up for himself and “told her to suck it up,” Sophia continued to whine to their mother. In fact, she even begged her to tell him not to be in the “family photos.” OMG! Things escalated fast from there, especially when the mom sided with the sister! (It is the cardinal rule in a wedding to give the bride everything she wants, but MAN some brides make it hard.) Boris continued:

“I was sure that my mum would notice how ridiculous that is but my mum just sided with my sister and told me that I was technically ruining the theme. My mum, Sophia and I all got into an argument, I couldn’t believe my sister was crying about something so stupid. My sisters makeup was ruined and now her pictures had ‘ugly blue crutches’ in them.”

Eventually, the mom told Boris to “leave and had the groom’s brother drive” him home. He wasn’t even allowed to stay for the cake! Jeez! He concluded:

“My whole family is saying ‘it’s her special day’ and how I ruined it by causing a fuss. I can’t [possibly] understand how this is reasonable.”

Their reaction is not “reasonable” at all. He was NOT in the wrong here! What his sister did was so s**tty and selfish. If she really cared about aesthetics so much, she could have arranged the family photos so that he and a few others sat in a chair. Or heck, there’s a thing called Photoshop! Edit the crutches to match the theme! And of course, it would have been wonderful if she had an ounce of compassion for her brother and didn’t care if the blue crutches were in the pictures in the first place! But again, if the theme was that important to her, there were other solutions than just throwing a tantrum and making him feel bad for something he couldn’t help!

The fact the look of everything was more important whether her brother was including on her big day is so messed up. And plenty of people in the comments would agree! Social media users completely agreed that the family — not Boris — were the “a**holes” in this situation:

“This isn’t a wine stain on the bride’s dress, or a cousin wearing white. It’s a part of how [the Redditor] gets around. No one is going to look at those pictures at all, let alone look at them and think ‘if only they were black the photo would look better.’”

“Weddings are supposed to be about celebrating love and commitment with family and friends. They are NOT supposed to be about aesthetics. Or treating family like accessories instead of loved ones.”

“your sister made a really f**king huge deal about crutches where the color could easily be digitally altered, and the fact that they thought your inclusion was less important than the color schemes speaks volumes about what kinds of people they are.”

For those who missed it, she hosted an AMA to promote a graphic novel called Expecting The Unexpected, but commenters used it as an ambush. There were hundreds of questions, almost none of which were about that project or anything else that she wanted to talk about. Instead, they were all about her Sandy Hook denial!

Yes, way back in 2013 she reposted a Sandy Hook conspiracy theory video that said the school shooting was a massive hoax by the government, calling it at the time a “must-watch.” She later tweeted that “asking questions and doing research is more patriotic than blindly accepting what you’re told.” Oof.

Clearly, Ronda didn’t see this coming. She didn’t answer a single question, and the AMA ended after an hour. Well, she’s posted an answer to all of it now.

She took to her X (Twitter) account late on Thursday night to post an apology for everything — for amplifying the conspiracy theory, for staying silent about it all these years, the whole thing. Ronda called sharing the video “the single most regrettable decision of my life.” She admitted:

“I didn’t even believe it, but was so horrified at the truth that I was grasping for an alternative fiction to cling to instead. I quickly realized my mistake and took it down, but the damage was done.”

She spoke directly to those affected, saying:

“I apologize that this came 11 years too late, but to those affected by the Sandy Hook massacre, from the bottom of my heart and depth of my soul I am so so sorry for the hurt I caused, I can’t even begin to imagine the pain you’ve endured and words cannot describe how thoroughly remorseful and ashamed I am of myself for contributing it. I’ve regretted it every day of my life since and will continue to do so until the day I die.”

But still she didn’t speak out for so many years! About that, she wrote:

“I can’t say how many times I’ve redrafted this apology over the last 11 years.”

But every time, she said, she “convinced myself it wasn’t the right time.” But that was BS, and she knew it. She wasn’t being called out on it, the media hadn’t picked it up and canceled her. She was thriving, as a matter of fact. Her movie career was just beginning. And so…

“I never spoke of it again, afraid that calling attention to it would have the opposite of the intended effect — it could increase the views on those conspiracy videos, and selfishly inform even more people I was ignorant, self absorbed and tone deaf enough to share on in the first place.”

That last part, admitting how aware she is now about how selfish she was being by saying nothing, is the crucial part here. Because now she says:

“But honestly I deserve to be hated, labeled, detested, resented and worse for it. I deserve to lose out on every opportunity, I should have been canceled, I would have deserved it. I still do.”

Yes. THIS is an apology. It’s not just admitting the wrongdoing — she’s not mitigating how bad it was, she’s not making the case for being forgiven. Just the opposite. She truly believes what she did was wrong, and she’s admitting she’s believed all this time she deserved to face consequences. No, not deserved. DESERVES. Present tense. It matters.

Wow. You just don’t see this kind of apology from someone for this kind of thing. Usually they’re too far down the rabbit hole to come out and admit how wrong they were. But in perhaps the most important part of her message, she speaks directly to others who have “fallen down the black hole of bulls**t,” delivering a message more important now than ever:

“It doesn’t make you edgy, or an independent thinker, you’re not doing your due diligence entertaining every possibility by digesting these conspiracies. They will only make you feel powerless, afraid, miserable and isolated. You’re doing nothing but hurting others and yourself.”

Unfortunately we’ve seen that more and more starkly illustrated by QAnon followers the past couple years, several of whom have murdered their own families after being radicalized by nonsense. But Ronda shares a powerful message to people who have let themselves believe this stuff:

“Regardless of how many bridges you’ve burned over it, stop digging yourself a deeper hole, don’t get wrapped up in the sunk cost fallacy. No matter how long you’ve gone down the wrong road, you should still turn back.”

Amazing. Really, truly unexpected. She said the exact right words. And, as she noted, it was all over a decade too late.

How s**t would it feel to discover that your significant other not only still finds their ex highly attractive, but thinks about them and uses their photos to pleasure themselves regularly? Eww… That’s the issue one woman is currently faced with, according to her post on Reddit.

The anonymous user posted in the popular r/RelationshipAdvice forum this week, revealing that while attempting to hop on the popular TikTok trend of comparing photos she took of her husband to ones he took of her, she made the gut-wrenching discovery that he’s held onto nude photos of his ex for not one, not two, but 15 YEARS! She wrote:

“He was out of the house with his newly upgraded phone, leaving his old phone behind. I went to his photos and found naked pics of his ex from before we were even together, meaning he’s kept them for over 15 years.”

So icky! And even more disgusting, it was clear he made a concerted and very active effort to hold onto the photos:

“Not only that, but because they were originally in a fake calculator app, he had to manually transfer them to every single new phone he’s had (about 5 or 6 phones, I think) by removing them from the locked fake calc app, putting them in Google photos, linking his Google account to his new phone, saving the pics to his phone, then moving them to the fake calculator app, and deleting them from Google photos.”

5 OR 6 PHONES?? JFC! Really, dude??

After coming across the horrifying discovery, the OP began to spiral:

“After all these years it means he had the pictures in his phone when I was giving birth, our wedding day, during his vows to me at alter, while he was proposing (which was an embarrassing proposal with no thought put into it), on our 10 year wedding anniversary trip…this whole time those pics of her were in his pocket.”

That’s just f**ked up. Plain and simple!

She of course confronted him about the pics, and he said they “were just porn for him” while he’s “away on work trips.” Uhhh, that doesn’t make him sound much better! He has a wife! Why couldn’t he use her pics?? Or at least ANYONE who wasn’t literally his ex!

The fuming wife deleted all traces of the images, but sadly it wasn’t enough to restore her shattered confidence. She wrote:

“I’ve always thought she was really pretty, and over the years I’ve had two kids and one big health problem, so of course I’ve gained weight over the years. So the next day I spiraled. I did a fake tan, did my nails, got my hair done, and took new pics of myself. I wanted him to find me attractive and not to want (or miss) her pics anymore. It’s been about four months and I still fall back into this horrible mindset all over again and refresh my look again.”

Poor lady! And seriously, how gross on that dude’s part. He has a whole family with this gal!

She added that she’s since combed through his electronic devices more to see if he had any other “incriminating” evidence, but that he did not. She also noted that the ex in question was his “first,” so she asked fellow Redditors if that’s normal. But there’s one major factor that makes this whole situation all the more disgusting and downright illegal… She and her husband are both 32, so subtract 15 from that and what do you get?? 17!!! So if the girl in the photos was his same age, she would have been just 17 YEARS OLD! A MINOR! THOSE WERE THE PHOTOS????

In the replies, fellow Redditors made their disgust abundantly known:

“Uhhhh isn’t that child porn then?”

“Wow. Now I’m absolutely disgusted. I already was before. But that was the cherry on top”

“Oh MY GOD. He’s jerking to an underage girl?!”

“He’s an absolute creep for keeping the photos”

Others urged the post’s author to think more about the effort her husband went through to hold onto the pics as a huge red flag:

“It’s the hiding and lengths he’s gone through that are the issue. Forget the photos and ask him why he hid them and lied especially for so long.”

“Oh hell no it’s one thing to watch and use porn but it’s another to save it to your phone in an app that’s supposed be a secret especially of his ex…. This is not normal don’t let him tell you it is he’s obviously hiding this for a reason.”

The WWE star shared a video from a conspiracy theorist at the time, suggesting the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre — which took the lives of 26 people, the majority of which were children — was a total set-up. The insane video said the entire shooting was a hoax fabricated by the government with crisis actors, on par with the comments that got Alex Jones sued into oblivion. Ronda called it a “must watch”.

Disgusting behavior. And she never stepped down from her stance! She simply deleted the post and shared a tweet saying “asking questions and doing research is more patriotic than blindly accepting what you’re told”. Yikes…

That was nearly ten years ago now, but many people online are determined not to let the world forget what she said. During a Reddit AMA in which users could ask the wrestler anything about her upcoming graphic novel, everyone decided to take it a different route. Rather than taking to the comments of r/SquaredCircle with their burning questions about her novel, she was bombarded with questions about her Sandy Hook controversy.

In fact, the majority of people didn’t ask her a SINGLE question about her book! And the ones that did got downvoted so badly they disappeared! We’re talking HUNDREDS of questions about Sandy Hook!

“Much like wrestling, a lot of people now think UFC is staged. Seeing as you competed in both, can you shed some light on if they’re staged, and while we’re at it, can you comment on if the sandy hook shooting was staged?”

“Have you ever considered apologizing to the Sandy Hook parents for being one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet and spreading conspiracies that the murder of their children was staged?”

They went IN on her, y’all! One person even asked if she was going to fire her PR team over this:

An anonymous poster on Reddit has quickly become a lightning rod for dating controversy after taking to the r/Relationship Advice forum to detail a chance encounter which has left him with mixed feelings:

“I’m a 28(m), I recently ran into my ex-wife’s sister Riley (24f) at the grocery store, and after talking with her and sort of ‘catching up,’ she ended up asking me out on a date, and I’m not sure how I feel about it.”

Uhhh, yikes! That’s definitely a bold move on the sister’s end! It totally violates girl code AND sister law! LOLz!

For some context, the OP elaborated how he and his ex-wife didn’t divorce for any particularly scandalous reason. In his words, they were “just two kids who got married too young, too soon, and realized it too late.” He explained:

“We divorced pretty amicably and she ended up moving away. I did as well for a time, but I ended up coming back home last year, I had no idea what my ex was doing and didn’t really care.”

He claimed to have gotten along well with her family — but was never too close to his ex-wife’s little sister. But because he didn’t stay in touch with his ex, there was a LOT to catch up on. He wrote:

“She told me that my ex is engaged and happy, which I was actually happy to hear.”

He called it a “nice conversation,” but that turn in which she asked him out… it ultimately left him in a difficult position:

“Before we finished talking Riley asked me if I would like to have a drink with her sometime. I thought maybe she just wanted to catch up in a better setting (more so than two people leaning on shopping carts), but then she said ‘But I understand if you don’t want to go on a date with your ex wife’s sister.’”

Oof! Hey, at least she was upfront about her intentions! The author continued:

“I did end up exchanging numbers with her, asking her kind of lightly how her parents would feel and got a ‘they would probably be happy that I found someone they liked.’ I figured I would rather have the number and not use it than wonder if I should have gotten it…I don’t know. I guess I was also just happy that an attractive woman asked me for my number. She did mention in our conversation, before she asked me out, that she was always surprised that her sister let such a good guy go, which I corrected her and told her it was definitely mutual, not all on my ex.”

He went on to admit part of what made the situation feel weird is that when he began dating Riley’s older sister, Riley was just a teenager. Not to mention having to explain that to her parents and potentially having it affect Riley’s relationship with her older sister/his ex-wife! Mulling over his “intrusive thoughts,” he added:

“Is this my unconscious trying to make my failed marriage seem like a success? Then there’s like — what if Riley had the same tendencies that made you and ex incompatible? But I feel like I’m also not being fair to Riley.”

The whole thing is a LOT! So naturally commenters had plenty to say:

“I think you’d have a better time being waterboarded than having to attend family functions where you’re dating your ex-wife’s sister.”

“You know damn well this is a terrible idea, and she’s absolutely crazy for even proposing it. For the love of God, find someone that you don’t have to come to Reddit asking if it’s a good idea to even entertain them.”

A Reddit post shared in the popular Am I the A**hole thread has gone viral after the author revealed how he came face-to-face with a woman from his past on his big day! He explained:

“Got married yesterday. When we arrived at the reception venue, everything was already in place. It was not until when were called up for our first dance that I recognized the singer from the band to be my ex gf from high school. We haven’t talked for over 15 yrs.”

Yikes!

The puzzled groom said he had no clue she was going to be performing because his wife was “in charge” of the music. They never discussed who she booked (not that he necessarily would have known the band’s name anyway, right?). One key detail here? The wife wouldn’t have known either as the couple hadn’t ever spoken in depth about exes! Huh. The band apparently had a great portfolio and was within budget, why wouldn’t the bride pick them, right?

So once the revelation was made what happened??

The groom told his wife he was “uncomfortable” and “weirded out” by the fact that his ex was performing at their wedding. Hmm. However, his wife asked him to “not make a big deal since the band [was] doing a great job.” Fair enough, right? Maybe a little awkward, but at the same time, she was an ex from 15 YEARS AGO! In high school! He couldn’t be that bothered, right? WRONG.

He eventually approached his ex, who said she only realized where she was performing when she saw some mutual friends in attendance. He noted that she kept it very “professional” — but he couldn’t do the same. Against his wife’s wishes, he went rogue:

“I told [my ex] to finish up in the next 30 minutes and to leave. She looked shocked and so [did] her band members. I reassured them it’s not because of the performance. One of the band members said even though they were being asked to leave early, since they already rocked up and this is a change of mind on the day, there will be no refunds. I told them I won’t be pursuing a refund.”

He continued:

“Told my wife that the band is leaving and she was livid. Kept asking me why it’s such a big deal because of an ex and asked me if I still had feelings for her. I said no that’s absurd, but I felt uncomfortable that I was reminded of my past relationship at the worst possible time.”

Oof! We can certainly see where his wife was coming from… Especially after he made the decision against her wishes! We mean… They dated so long ago, his reaction doesn’t really fit. Right?? We’d be sus, too!

We mean, is there something he’s not saying? Was the breakup awful? Did he pine over her for years? Was he a huge jerk to her and didn’t want her telling his new wife?

A Reddit user has gone viral after posting about his nightmare wedding experience on the popular “Am I the A**hole (AITA)” thread. Basically, it was the night of his and his wife’s life. The anonymous author explained he and his love “spent months planning every detail, and it turned out perfect” — besides for one detail. He explained:

“My best man, let’s call him John (32M), has been my closest friend since childhood. Naturally, I asked him to be my best man, and he accepted with excitement. The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was even better. Everything was going smoothly until the speeches. John got up to give his best man speech. At first, it was full of the usual jokes and heartfelt stories, which everyone enjoyed.”

Alright, sounding pretty good so far… But then things took a turn for the unexpected:

“Out of nowhere, he turned to his girlfriend (25F) and started talking about their relationship. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, proposing to her right there in the middle of my reception!”

NO WAY!

The Redditor continued:

“The room went silent. I could feel my wife’s hand squeezing mine tighter and tighter. John’s girlfriend said yes, and everyone started clapping and cheering, but I was fuming. An anonymous woman has gone viral on Reddit after sharing a story of love, pain, heartbreak, and redemption — all centered around her love of dairy! Last week, a 24-year-old posted in a relationship advice thread about an ultimatum her 25-year-old boyfriend gave her: give up mozzarella balls, or give up the relationship! WHAT?!?

“My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years now, and we recently moved in together. He’s known about my love for cheese since our first date (he took me to a restaurant and we ordered like three charcuterie boards lol). I don’t think he knew what he was getting into with my snacking, and he probably didn’t expect to see me eat mozzarella balls on the daily. I thought he was fine with it but now he’s making an issue out of it and I don’t know if I should stop.”

Uhhh, that’s a weird thing to be upset about on his end… But it gets even weirder:

“His specific issue is the shape of the cheese. He tells me that seeing me eat [you know].. ball-shaped cheese makes him uncomfortable. He says that it is lewd and that (and I quote) ‘seeing me pop a wet cheese ball in my mouth makes him think of me having another man’s balls in my mouth’… yeah. I was really confused and I told him that I don’t think this is that big of a deal and that it’s literally cheese but he told me the imagery still grosses him out.”

Last week, the Saturday Night Live alum stopped in Omaha, Nebraska as part of his Prehab Tour, but the excited crowd didn’t get to see his full routine because of nonstop heckling. Near the end of his set, he abruptly walked off the stage as some audience members just wouldn’t stop disrupting him. And one attendee is pissed about it!!

A woman named Kate Stivers, who claimed to be at the show that night, took to YouTube over the weekend to rant about the lack of “decorum” some fans demonstrated at the show, which led to Pete’s exit. She said:

“Where the f**k did decorum go at events because he shouldn’t have had to walk off stage because you guys don’t understand that because you see crowd work on TikTok that you think every comedian now needs to be heckled to the point that they leave stage with one joke left. Like, it’s just absolutely absurd. You’re ruining it for the whole show.”

She spoke directly to the alleged heckler:

“And I saw you, motherf**ker, I saw one of you. You were bragging about it as you left the show … You ruined the show for everybody. [Pete] didn’t deserve that. He didn’t deserve that one bit.”

She noted that everyone’s phones were taken per Pete’s tour policy, which she thinks was for “good reason.” And she also expressed that heckling should be treated with a similar policy:

“There should be no tolerance. … You need to immediately be kicked the f**k out.”
