The Wednesday star is finally responding to the popular rumor that she dated the Pirates of the Caribbean actor! If you didn’t hear, whispers last summer picked up steam that the 21-year-old was in a full-fledged relationship with the 61-year-old. While undeniably WILD to imagine, a 40-year age difference isn’t the wildest thing we’ve ever heard of… Just ask Bill Belichick! But Jenna wants you to know that said rumors are categorically false!

During an interview with BuzzFeed published on Monday, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star was asked what the “craziest rumor” she’s ever heard about herself. She dished:

“Probably that I was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp and I wanted everybody to leave us alone. It’s so insane to me, like, I never spoke on that, I never said anything like that. Articles really do just make up their own quotes. But I thought that was pretty hilarious.”

Wow! Good to know, LOLz!

She added:

“I was on set with Richard E. Grant and he came up to me and he said, ‘Oh, so you and Johnny?’ And I laughed because I don’t know that person.”

Ha!! We love it!! It’s totally giving Mariah Carey!!

BTW, back at the initial time of the rumors, Johnny’s reps denied them wholeheartedly, saying in a statement to NME:

“Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Miss Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her. He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”

As Perezcious readers will recall, the 37-year-old actor’s career on the big screen came to a screeching halt in 2021 when he was accused of “violently” raping and “mentally, emotionally, and sexually” abusing ex Effie Angelova. Other women came forward with similar allegations, claiming Armie had cannibalistic fantasies and BDSM preferences. That same year, his former lover Courtney Vucekovich even told Page Six that the Gossip Girl alum allegedly “wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it.” Yeesh!

Armie has constantly denied any wrongdoing, maintaining all his relationships were consensual. Following a two-year investigation into Effie’s allegations, the Los Angeles Police Department chose not to charge him with sexual assault or any other crimes. Since then, The Social Network star has talked about the allegations made against him. And he apparently still has a lot more to say about it!

On Friday, Armie appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Friday to talk about the sexual assault and cannibalism accusations in depth. Piers Morgan wasted no time getting into the alarming claims, as asked flat out in the first few seconds of the interview:

“Let’s first of all address the elephant in the room. Are you a cannibal?”

Damn! He got straight to it! Armie’s response? He said:

“You know what you have to do to be a cannibal? You have to have actually eaten someone.”

When asked if he had ever “eaten any human flesh” before, the Call Me by Your Name star once again denied it, saying:

“No. Not a question I’d ever thought I’d have to answer by the way. But no, never.”

Hmm. Armie then went on to deny the other accusations – specifically the ones of sexual assault and abuse made by Effie. Of the affair they had while he was married to now ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, he said:

“This was a very intense affair, very sexually charged, between two people with very similar proclivities and kinks. Any of those conversations that we had inside of that relationship, when you take them outside of that context and put them into broad daylight, it doesn’t look so good. You know, different people have different sexual fantasies. And there’s a very broad spectrum of sexuality, and people are allowed to engage with their own sexuality however it fits them and what they do.”

He added that he thinks the cannibalism rumors were “born out of a desire, to sort of like, ‘I want you so completely’, and ‘I want you so totally’ that it’s almost like ‘I want to eat you.’” What?! Elsewhere in the interview, Armie addressed the reports that he got some help from Robert Downey Jr. amid the massive scandal. As you may recall, Vanity Fair reported that the Marvel actor allegedly paid for the Death on the Nile star’s nearly six-month stint at a Florida rehab facility as he was struggling with drug, alcohol, and sex issues. When asked about the support from RDJ, Armie set the record straight:

“No, he did not. He did not pay for me to go to rehab. I don’t want to bring anyone else into my situation. There are a number of people who have been extremely helpful, and I’m incredibly grateful.”

That being said, the Oppenheimer actor was a huge help in other ways. Armie explained that Robert was there for him “in the way where anyone in Hollywood who suffers from any sort of addiction issues — whether it be alcohol or process addiction or drugs — decides to get sober, that guy will find you, and he will help you,” adding:

“It’s amazing.”

He also got some advice from him. Armie claimed Robert told him during the controversy:

“‘Sit down, shut up, everything is going to be OK.’”

Other celebrities, on the other hand? They weren’t as helpful to Armie as Robert. He noted that his other former co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts never reached out to him. However, he isn’t worried about “the people who didn’t contact me.” Instead, he wants “to focus on the people who did, who showed their support” – like Robert, Lone Ranger co-star Johnny Depp, and Challengers director Luca Guadagnino. The filmmaker, who worked with Armie on Call Me by Your Name, has “been vocally supportive, which is something that I could not appreciate more,” he told Piers. Ultimately, Armie has no hard feelings toward anyone who hasn’t supported him through all this:

“At the same time, I’m also well-aware that it is a precarious situation right now, and anyone who vocalizes support comes under fire. I understand that my situation was inflammatory, and anyone who gets too close might also light on fire.”

Wow…

A new report from DailyMail.com claims the Hollywood Vampires rocker has finally found a new romance to sink his teeth into. Mind the gap though — he’s reportedly dating a 28-year-old! People also backed up these claims with their own source.

Sources tell the outlet Johnny has been seeing Yulia Vlasova, a Russian model he’s been friendly with for a while. Apparently the Pirates of the Caribbean star met her way back in 2021! Yulia owns a hair and makeup studio in Prague, and Johnny was there in August of that year for the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

They met in 2021… which means she would have been just 25 at the time! Probably why his Gilbert Grape co-star Leonardo DiCaprio came to mind… Johnny is, of course, 61 years old now, making that age gap a wild 36 years, older than she is!

The two have been spotted together before, but late last week DM got some pics they thought looked especially couple-y, as Yulia joined the Oscar nominee in London.

Insiders confirmed to the outlet the two have a “casual” thing going and have been seeing one another “here and there.” In a deep dive of her Instagram (which she has now made private — odd move for a model), they found pics of the two hanging out, including this cozy one!

According to the outlet, she’s recently deleted a lot of her pics with Johnny, including one in which they were “resting their hands each other’s leg”! Hmm…

For those who don’t know, the 30-year-old singer has worked with Lou Taylor and Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group since late 2022 when he paused and later canceled the Justice World Tour due to his struggles with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. He teamed up with them for his companies Bieber Time Touring LLC, Justin Bieber Brands LLC, and Bieber Time Merchandise.

He didn’t seem bothered by Taylor being accused of having a hand in Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship. But this latest legal drama?? Yeah, that’s a horse of a different color. Two years later, Dailymail.com reports that Justin dropped Lou last month! And it’s all because of the Diddy scandal!

Here’s the deal. Tri Star employee Robin Greenhill, who previously worked as Britney’s assistant, was named in a bombshell lawsuit against the disgraced rapper earlier this year. Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ claimed Robin worked as an accountant for Diddy and oversaw the monthly payments to sex workers that allegedly included City Girls rapper Yung Miami, model Jade Ramey, and 50 Cent’s baby momma and ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy. Rodney also accused Diddy of sexually harassing, drugging, and threatening him in the suit.

All three women denied the allegations. Diddy also denied the accusations, calling Rodney a “liar.” But as we all know, the music mogul was hit with more disturbing claims by multiple women. For instance, Cassie Ventura accused him of abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking in a now-settled suit. A video of Diddy brutally attacking her in a Los Angeles hotel back in 2016 surfaced last month, backing claims she’d previously made. Amid all the lawsuits, he’s reportedly also being investigated for guns, drugs, and sex trafficking by Homeland Security, who raided two of his homes in March.

When you add in those creepy resurfaced incidents with Diddy, you can see why Justin wants to put as much space as possible between him and the record producer right now! Creating that distance all starts with getting rid of Taylor and Tri Star and hiring… Johnny Depp’s business manager, Edward White. An insider told Dailymail.com on Tuesday:

“Justin’s split with Lou was not amicable. He fired her. People generally stay with their accountant for ages and Justin was only with Tri Star for two years. This happened in May, after the Diddy raid. Justin’s financial affairs are now being handled by his new accountant/business manager, Edward White.”

Can you blame him for not wanting to be associated with anything involving the legal ordeal?! We guess the Depp stuff is all in the past already so doesn’t bother him?

Several years ago, Johnny and Amber’s toxic relationship was all anyone was walking about as they battled it out in court, both alleging physical, emotional, and mental abuse against each other.

Ever since the court sided with Depp, the Aquaman star has basically hidden away with her daughter in Spain to get away from all the backlash. But Johnny, on the other hand, has been reveling in his Hollywood comeback and he doesn’t plan to slow down!

According to a new source for People, Johnny couldn’t be doing better now that he’s “moving forward” with his life. They explained on Friday:

“He’s focused on moving forward. He’s keeping busy. There’s a lot of good distractions, so there’s not that much time to be reminiscing on that darker period.”

Well, that’s good. They both did enough reminiscing in court! We’re sure it’s been a relief to get a break from reliving all the trauma. As for how feels towards those from his past, the confidant surprisingly added:

“There’s been a release of the old and embarking on this new chapter. He’s feeling better about where he is in life. There’s no animosity toward anybody.”

NO hard feelings… at all? Whoa! Guess it helps he ultimately won the legal ruling and a lot of the public opinion.

These days, The Pirates of the Caribbean alum is “very excited” for fans to see his new French film, Jeanne de Barry, which is out now in the US after premiering at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival as his first big movie following the ordeal. The source noted:

“He did the entire film in French. It was a good challenge.”

He is also in post-production on a film called Modi with Al Pacino. It was his first time directing in 25 years, so the passion project is helping him stay “in really good spirits.” And he’s open to exploring even more creative projects in the future:

“He’s really open to anything. It’s kind of like a ‘never say never.’ There are no closed doors. If there’s a role that comes along that he’s incredibly passionate about, of course he’s going to look into it.”

The 60-year-old is also focusing on music and his upcoming rum brand. The source shared:

“He is prioritizing his health and wellbeing much more these days. People were loving his look for the Jeanne du Barry U.K. premiere. He got a new haircut, he looked polished and clean-cut. He’s lost weight. He’s feeling and looking healthier.”

They furthered:

“He’s taking advantage of being in this better headspace. There’s a lot of good energy, and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.”

Like his embattled ex, Johnny also went overseas following the legal ordeal and now spends most of his time in London, the insider detailed:

“He really feels London is a home. It is more of a quiet life, but filled with painting and music. He’s jamming out with friends and playing solo in times when he’s not focused on filmmaking.”

Sounds like everything’s looking up for him, despite a few lingering negative reports here and there. As for his love life, that’s non-existent right now. The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory actor is supposedly “really too busy” to date these days, with the source stressing there’s “not time right now for that.”

He does have a lot on his plate! After being canceled and facing a “boycott” from the industry for several years amid his issues with Heard, it’s no surprise he’s pouring all his attention onto work now that he has so much opportunity at his fingertips!

And it’s one made at the expense of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Uh-oh! (Also, FYI, minor spoilers ahead!!!)

During the David Leitch-directed, Drew Pearce-penned blockbuster, Hannah Waddingham’s character apparently enters a disorderly trailer on set of the in-film movie production. In it, she remarks to Emily’s character:

“It’s like Amber and Johnny were just in here.”

Yikes…

As pretty much the whole world knows, Johnny and Amber spent the last few years in court battling over a highly-publicized defamation lawsuit in which both parties alleged physical, emotional, and mental abuse against each other. It was REALLY serious and shocking. Things just wrapped up two years ago, and both stars have since tried to move on. So, was a joke about it really the move to make here?!

On X (Twitter), fans made their disapproval known. Some wrote things like:

“’the fall guy’ made a distasteful ‘joke’ about the domestic abuse amber suffered at the hands of johnny. it’s 2024, why are we writing these kinds of lines into movies? nasty work”

For those who don’t recall, the 60-year-old actor made his big comeback in 2023 with the French-language film Jeanne Du Barry following his lengthy legal battle with Amber Heard. Maïwenn — who wrote, directed, and starred in the movie — opened up to The Independent last week about what it was like to work with Johnny. And, well, she didn’t have a glowing review of him!

She told the outlet the Pirates of the Caribbean star wanted to be treated like an icon “all the time” and “wouldn’t do what the script demanded.” Worst of all? Maïwenn claimed the entire crew was “afraid” of him! The 48-year-old filmmaker explained:

“It’s difficult to shoot with him … all the crew were scared because he has a different kind of humor and we didn’t know if he was going to be on time, or if he was going to be okay to say his lines … I mean, even if he was there on set, on time, the crew were afraid of him.”

Jeez! He seemed like a complete nightmare! This isn’t the first time Maïwenn complained about Johnny’s poor on-set behavior either! She previously opened up about his diva ways last year, saying she “was not allowed to knock on the door of his dressing room.” WTF?! And from the sounds of it, things were a lot worse on set than she initially made it out to be. However, Maïwenn appears to be walking back on her remarks!

She clarified her comments in a statement to Variety on Friday, claiming she meant Johnny’s “charisma” and “star status” “scared” people. Most importantly, she stressed it had nothing to do with his behavior on set:

“When I made a remark about Johnny being ‘scary,’ I was talking about his charisma, his notoriety, his star status, etc. [I] was shocked when I discovered that the newspaper had headlined that ‘The crew were afraid of [Johnny Depp]’ because written like that, and without its context and subtleties, it absolutely no longer means the same thing. The journalist did not want to grasp the subtlety of my words.”

Maïwenn continued:

“I would like to make things very clear: Johnny is ‘scary’ in the sense that his charisma and his status as ‘king; is impressive. I should have used the word ‘impressive’ if I had known [the writer] Charlotte O’Sullivan would use my words in such a malicious way.”

Hmm. Although the director says she and Johnny did argue multiple times on set, she insisted she has the utmost “respect” for him at the end of the day:

“Again, I want to be very clear: Johnny Depp is a huge actor. One of the greatest. He reminded me a lot of Brando – his genius and sufferings, his generosity and paradoxes. Even though we argued several times on set, he’s someone I totally respect and admire, and it’s important for me to correct my own narrative because I feel really betrayed by this interview with Charlotte O’Sullivan.”

Well, this is a bit different…

One common theme throughout the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard legal drama? Everyone who worked with or was romantically linked to Johnny in the years before Amber had nothing but praise for him. His other exes pretty much all said he was a sweetheart who was never abusive to them. People really got the sense not of Johnny as an abusive guy on his own, but of Johnny and Amber together as just toxic as hell. She certainly admitted to hitting him, he seemed like he was drunk all the time, and she claimed he was horribly abusive toward her.

For the jury in the defamation trial, it was clearly pretty convincing. They decided they believed the he said over the she said. But what if more women had come out with icky stories about the Pirates of the Caribbean star from before that ill-fated marriage?

Well, now we have a co-star who says Johnny was at least verbally abusive to her on set. You may know Lola Glaudini from The Sopranos or Criminal Minds. But she also had a small role in Blow, the Johnny Depp drama about George Jung, who helped bring cocaine to the US in the 70s.

On a recent episode of the Powerful Truth Angels podcast this year, Lola told a story about shooting the film that’s starting to get noticed. And we can see why. She says she was in the background while Johnny was delivering a monologue. Director Ted Demme apparently thought it would be a great moment if she were to “burst out laughing” in the middle of the serious speech. He didn’t tell Johnny, so he could get a genuine reaction — his character wouldn’t be expecting to be disrespected like that, after all. Unfortunately, the reaction was more than anyone bargained for. Lola recalled:

“[Johnny] says his monologue. I hear the cue, and I go haha, I do a big laugh or whatever… Johnny Depp, when they say cut, walks over to me, comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face and he goes, ‘Who the f**k do you think you are? Who the f**k do you think you are? Shut the f**k up. I’m out here, and I’m trying to f**king say my lines and you’re f**king pulling focus. You f**king idiot. Oh, now, oh now it’s not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can f**king shut the f**k up? The quiet that you are right now, that’s how you fucking stay.'”

Damn. The crazy thing is, this was after a couple different takes. Lola says she did the laugh on the same cue every time — but #1 on the call sheet didn’t get the picture, we guess? And it just built up until he unleashed on her!

Lola says she was devastated.

“First day, on the set, I’ve never met him. This was my first studio movie, I’ve just done indies until then. And I have the star who I have idolized, who I am so excited to work with, reamed me in my face. The only thing going through my head was, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry.'”

Aw. How awful! He sounds like a jerk in this story! And it doesn’t get better…

Lola says later that day he found her on set and gave her “a non-apology apology”:

“He said, ‘You know, so earlier I was really in my head and staying in my character, I’m doing this Boston accent, and it’s really f**king with me. So I’m a little tense and stuff. So I just wanted to make sure we’re cool and everything?'”

The actress, who would have been 29 at the time, said she had spoken to her father about the incident, and he told her, “You have two choices right now: you can either say f**k this, f**k you, and I’m not going to be spoken to like that, or you never let him see you sweat.” And she made her choice:

“I just looked at him, and I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about? Of course, what are you talking about? Totally cool.’ Because I was like… my dad said, ‘Don’t let them see you sweat.’ So that was that.”

She added the director “did not come over and say anything” when she was being chastised by the film’s star. Not only that, she was then seen by everyone as the problem — for doing her job:

“When we wrapped, I was like a pariah. No one wanted to talk to me, because I am the bitch who he railed at.”

Variety reached out to Johnny’s rep, who told them:

“Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with cast and crew and this recounting differs greatly from the recollection of other members on set at the time.”

The rep suggested the outlet speak to Samuel Sarkar, who was a sound technician on the film and would have heard any verbal abuse. Sarkar told the trade:

“As a sound person, you’re constantly listening to what is going on on set, listening for noises, listening for chatter. In fact, specifically, I would listen to Johnny’s audio to check for interference, both during rehearsals and during the take. I never heard anything like that — and that would have been a remarkable event.”

It should be noted, however, that Sarkar continued to have a good working relationship with Johnny for many years — and recently was a producer on his film Minimata.
