The 38-year-old reality star has been working on her health for several years now. She started the TLC show in 2020 when she weighed around 725 pounds and needed to drop 200 pounds to be considered for bariatric surgery, which she accomplished in July 2022. She’s been slowly dropping pounds ever since — showing off her progress with a swimsuit pic in April. The weight loss has also helped her to ditch her wheelchair, which must be such a great relief.

However, a source claimed to Dailymail.com on Friday that Jamie Lynn IS using the drug to help her lose weight. But the problem? Her loved ones are afraid she’ll take things way too far! Uh oh! It sounds like we could have an alleged Scott Disick situation here… An insider said:

“Her friends and family have told her that she looks incredible and that she does not need to lose any more weight, but she’s not listening.”

According to the outlet, Jamie Lynn received a ton of brutal comments about her appearance when she went on multiple reality shows like Dancing With the Stars, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! All the hate knocked her confidence. So when the Zoey 101 alum got the confirmation she would reprise her role in the upcoming fourth season of Sweet Magnolias, she allegedly decided to try to lose weight through Ozempic. However, after successfully shedding a few pounds, Jamie Lynn is now having a tough time quitting! The source explained:

“Jamie Lynn hopped on the Ozempic train, and is now struggling to get off. She was mortified over her appearance when she did a string of shows last year. She read the comments and took it very, very hard. When Sweet Magnolia’s was renewed for season 4 she was so focused on getting a new body. Her friends were supportive because many of them use it too and by the time she started filming in January she looked great and was happy.”

Although her pals were “supportive” at first, they’re growing worried about Britney Spears’ little sister. Their concerns are just being brushed off by Jamie Lynn as she is afraid to gain the weight back, though, says the source:

“But then she kept going and is now having difficulty pulling the plug on it. She is so scared of gaining it all back that she is willing to put her desire to have a ‘summer body’ before her wellbeing.”

So far, the singer reportedly has had “some” side effects:

“She has had some side affects just as most people have and although they are not severe enough to warrant her being forced to stop, they have affected her. She gets headaches a lot and has a hard time focusing and also stomach cramps.”

Umm… All of that sounds pretty “severe” and unpleasant to us! Jeez!

It’s not just the negative comments that pushed Jamie Lynn to go on Ozempic and continue to suffer through these side effects, though! Or even the main reason! Another source told the outlet the Follow Me artist mainly wants to “step on the gas” when it comes to her career next year and fears her weight will hurt her plans:

“Jamie Lynn is eager to step on the gas with her career coming into 2025. She understands that her name and connection to her sister will open doors, but fears her physical appearance could impact this. She understands the pressure that Hollywood puts on actors for the way they look. So she turned to Ozempic to remain in the conversation of TV bosses.”

It’s heartbreaking to hear she’s dealing with the horrible side effects just to keep her career — if this is true. It’s important to take this report with a grain of salt as we haven’t heard from Jamie Lynn herself on whether she’s really taking Ozempic. Lazar Dukic, who represented Serbia in the 2024 CrossFit Games, has tragically died at just 28 years old. Shockingly, this was DURING the competition. According to multiple reports, the athlete drowned while swimming in Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday morning. His family revealed in a GoFundMe that “details are still unknown.” The coroner has not yet even ruled cause of death. But we do have some early details…

The Fort Worth Fire Department say they were called around 8 a.m. to assist police because there “was a participant in the water that was down and hadn’t been seen in some point in time.” Dukic’s body was found about an hour later. As we’ve seen all too tragically in recent years, even the strongest swimmers can get overwhelmed. And this competition was certainly meant to push athletes to their limits.

What we do know is Lazar was participating in an 800-meter swim and went under with just 50 meters left. According to reports, fans said they could see him obviously struggling on the live video stream of the event — they even point to minute 37:00. The video has already been taken down — but fans posted the moment he’s left alone online. Watch at your own risk:

It’s worth noting the swimming immediately followed a 3.5 mile run. In traditional triathlons, as seen on the Olympics just last week, the swimming always comes first. That way you have athletes less likely to be winded at the point in which collapsing would lead to drowning. There are also 10-12 lifeguards on duty to watch all the athletes. At this event, it’s unclear how many were on duty — but they were apparently not outfitted with special rescue equipment.

Some spectators at the actual event saw it, too — and said later they yelled for lifeguards. CrossFit athlete Cole Learn said:

“We watched Lazar go under, and we screamed for some lifeguards. They were pretty far away, so it was tough to do anything else. We were yelling for lifeguards, but unfortunately they couldn’t hear us and he never came back up. I’m absolutely devastated — that was not something I wanted to watch.”

The rest of Thursday’s events were canceled. CrossFit CEO Don Faul has not specifically responded to the safety controversy but did say there were safety personnel on site. In a news conference on Thursday he said the organization is “deeply saddened” by the tragic loss of a member of the CrossFit “family”: 

“We’ll continue to be focused on our community and the family through this tragic set of circumstances.”

In their GoFundMe, Lazar’s actual family remember him “for his kindness, humor, and supportive nature” and say he “was caring, humorous and relentlessly supported those around him.”

How devastating. Our hearts are with his loved ones, and we hope if this event really does have safety issues that they’re fixed before another athlete gets back in the water.

The Oscar winner stars in the upcoming movie Lee as real-life photographer Lee Miller, who worked as a war correspondent for Vogue during World War II. For the role, Kate told Harper’s Bazaar UK on Tuesday she stopped exercising before the film so her body would look “authentically soft” for the period. Sounds like she put a lot of work into this! Well, if not working out is work… Let’s say she put a lot of care into it. But not everyone got the memo!

While filming a scene where she had to wear a bikini, with her body on display, you won’t believe what a crew member dared to say to her! They actually urged the Titanic star to “sit up” straight to try to conceal her “belly rolls!” Yes, really! Kate recalled:

“There’s a bit where Lee’s sitting on a bench in a bikini… And one of the crew came up between takes and said: ‘You might want to sit up straighter.’”

What the f**k. However, the Oscar winner was not about covering up her stomach just so she looked more flattering on camera in their eyes! She fired back at the crew member:

“‘So you can’t see my belly rolls? Not on your life!’ It was deliberate, you know?”

Good for Kate for sticking up for herself! But do we honestly expect anything less from The Holiday alum? She’s always advocated for body positivity, especially after years of criticism she faced as a young adult over her looks. We mean, she got bodyshamed over her nude scene in Titanic ffs, the movie where she may be the most beautiful anyone has ever been in a film!

All the “bullying” about her body did get to her at one point, but nowadays? She ignores it. When asked if she cared about looking “less-than-perfect” on camera, Kate said:

“The opposite. I take pride in it because it is my life on my face, and that matters. It wouldn’t occur to me to cover that up.”

You may recall she had a similar issue just a couple years ago while filming Mare of Easttown. When she learned the director was trying to edit around her “bulgy bit of belly” in a sex scene — ostensibly for her vanity — she fought back and insisted it be seen!

And the desire for realness extends to the wrinkles on her face, too! No one will push her to get any cosmetic work! She continued:

“I think people know better than to say, ‘You might wanna do something about those wrinkles.’ I’m more comfortable in myself as each year passes. It enables me to allow the opinions of others to evaporate.”

What’s also helped her reach that point? Kate noted she feels women started to move into a positive and less judgmental direction when it comes to how they view their own bodies:

“I do feel a huge sense of relief that women are so much more accepting of themselves and refusing to be judged. Because I don’t know a single contemporary of mine who grew up seeing her mother looking in the mirror and saying: ‘I look nice!’ My mother never did: it was always, ‘Oh God, I don’t think I can wear this, do I look hippy, does my bum look big?’ We waste so much time being down on ourselves and I’m just not doing it ever again.”

Yes, Kate!!

As we reported earlier this month, the New Orleans-born fitness icon passed away at his house in the Hollywood Hills just one day after his 76th birthday. His death was completely unexpected and greeted with surprise by the media and public. That Richard had been so reclusive in his final years only made his passing that much more shocking. And now, his housekeeper is speaking out about it.

In a new interview with People on Monday, Reveles — who first started working in Simmons’ household back in 1986 — shared a theory about what killed the fitness expert. She was the one who discovered Richard’s body that morning, and when she found him, she noticed something curious: his hands were balled up into fists. Reveles believes that meant he had a heart attack, as she told the mag:

“That’s why I know it was heart attack. I had a heart attack a few years ago, and my hands did the same.”

For what it’s worth, an official cause of death has not been determined with toxicology test results still pending, so Reveles’ theory is just that — a theory. Still, she tried to share her optimism amid the tragedy by saying that Simmons looked “peaceful” when she found him, and that she hoped he had “died happy.” We hope so, too…

Elsewhere in the interview, Teresa described herself as Simmons’ “companion” and claimed that decades ago, Richard had predicted the two of them would be together for the rest of his life:

“[Simmons said] ‘Teresa, come in, you are never going to leave. We are going to be together until I die.’ And you know what? His dream came true. He knew somehow.”

She also confirmed to People something that has already been reported — that Simmons fell in his bathroom on his birthday on July 12, but refused to go to the hospital because he didn’t want to spend his birthday there. Teresa said that when she asked at the time about taking him in for a check-up, he told her:

“Why don’t we wait and we do it in the morning.”

About what happened hours after that conversation, she ruefully added:

“But in the morning it was too late.”

So sad…

Now, there is more to the story involving Teresa and her relationship with Richard. As you may recall, a podcast called Missing Richard Simmons debuted early in 2017 that sought to figure out why Simmons had left the public eye. As part of that podcast, a longtime friend of the fitness guru came forward with claims Reveles was to blame. He said the caregiver had started controlling Richard’s life and was keeping him away from friends, family members, and his adoring fans.

In one episode of that spring 2017 podcast, Simmons’ pal Mauro Oliveira claimed he had gone to Richard’s home to figure out where the star disappeared to when he allegedly found himself an unsettling situation involving Reveles:

“It was 6 p.m., and I went into his house. He was sitting in the living room, and he was very weakly, physically and mentally. He was trembling. He said, ‘Mauro, I called you here because we cannot see each other anymore. I’m just going to stay here.’ I thought of the worst. I thought the worst was going to happen. I thought he was suicidal. … She [Teresa] realized that I was in the house and she started screaming like a witch, ‘No no no no, get out, get out! I don’t want him here!’ Richard looked at me and said, ‘you got to go.’ I said, ‘really? Is she controlling your life now?’ and he said yes, and that I have to leave.”

So creepy, right? But while Oliveira certainly has his story, and Missing Richard Simmons became a phenomenon followed by pop culture conspiracy theorists nationwide when it was released, Richard’s own family never agreed with those sentiments. Also speaking to People on Monday, the late fitness guru’s brother Lenny had this to say about Reveles:

“Teresa was extremely loyal and trustworthy. She loved my brother, and he loved her. We are blessed to have Teresa in our lives.”

We feel for Teresa for losing her longtime employer — and friend. And for being the one to find his body on that fateful mid-July morning. Ugh.

Bella used to pose semi-nude all the time, but she revealed she hasn’t been feeling good about her body for a while. Why? It’s pretty simple. She used the moment to take aim at the rampant use of Ozempic in Hollywood and among influencers to set unrealistic beauty standards — standards that can even affect someone known for their bikini bod:

“So, I haven’t been feeling good about my body for a while. And especially with everybody on Ozempic, it’s like setting all these crazy beauty standards that nobody can keep up with unless you’re on Ozempic.”

Damn!

She’s not wrong. Remember, just days ago, 18-year-old Alabama Barker copped to using weight loss drugs in a shocking and candid reveal. Knowing all the rampant body image issues in both Hollywood and on social media, we can’t even imagine the pressure all these public-facing young women are feeling.

Bella is trying to push past all that, though. Thankfully, she acknowledged she has been much more physically active recently in a bid to improve her health and her self-confidence:

“I have swam every day and I have sweat out everything possible and I have walked everywhere. And, I’m finally feeling good about myself, OK?”

And she ended on a feisty note, too! The former child star told Ozempic to eff off in not so many words by flipping off the camera at the end of her video clip:

“I’m finally feeling good, so Ozempic, you can… [flips off the camera] …off.”

Interestingly, her X (Twitter) account still lists her as “wife,” but that whole profile seems outdated and she hasn’t posted since last summer. So, we wouldn’t read into that!

This big update comes two months after Kyle dropped “Umansky” from her name on social media. But at the time, she was seemingly still holding out hope for the romance since she hadn’t removed “wife” from her profile. That said, it’s doubtful that Kyle even wants to go back to the way things were. As Perezcious readers know, the Bravo star was the first to spark romance speculation last year when she hit it off with country music star Morgan Wade. They’ve both denied dating rumors, and yet they just can’t seem to shut down the speculation. Despite trying to work things out for the sake of their family at first, Kyle and Mauricio have also only grown further apart with time — as this latest IG edit proves!

But it’s not all bad news for the Halloween actress. Addressing some of the many changes she’s made amid her split, the Real Housewives icon took to the ‘gram on Thursday to celebrate being 2 years sober! Sharing a photo of her smoking hot body in the gym, she reflected:

“This week was my 2 year anniversary of being alcohol free (July 15th) I can remember a time when the idea of going 2 weeks seemed impossible. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve had the willpower to stay on this path.”

This journey also hasn’t been easy because she’s felt pressure from some people in her close circle to drink again, the mother of four noted:

“I know many people would love for me to start drinking again. Even friends with the best of intentions. Everyone loved ‘Party Kyle’. I think that was the hardest part of all of this. The resistance from others. The old me , the people pleaser, did struggle with that aspect of it. And I realized right away that I wasn’t going to have a ton of encouragement.”

So tough not to have the support she needed! But Kyle didn’t let it stop her! She continued:

“But my mental and physical health became a lot more important to me than feeling like I had to be ‘on’ at a party or social setting. I’m not going to lie… the fact that I looked better because I l wasn’t drinking was also incentive to not veer from the road I am on. But the real reward is how I feel on the inside. I feel strong , energetic and grateful for my body. I want to take care of it like it has taken care of me.”

Seemingly addressing how this has helped her get through this messy split, she went on:

“It would have been a lot harder going through these difficult times if I had been drinking. I want to wake up every day feeling my best. Mentally & physically strong enough to face whatever comes my way. Many strangers come up to me and tell me that I have inspired them to start their own alcohol free journey. That makes me happy and inspires me in return . So, thank you for that. I often think of the Ernest Hemingway quote ‘ I drink to make other people more interesting’ Personally , I prefer to see people and situations just as they are. AND without the hangxiety #alcoholfree”

But while he may have retreated from the spotlight, he still enjoyed chatting with fans via email and over the phone. And yet he certainly didn’t think of himself as the “legend” the world celebrates him as:

“I don’t hear it at all. I don’t hear the word legend. I don’t hear the word icon. I never lived a celebrity life. I never thought of myself as a celebrity. People don’t know this, I’m really a shy person and a little bit of an introvert. But when that curtain goes up that’s a different story. I’m there to make people happy. But the accolades I get from emails. I mean, today most probably, we’ll answer over 100 emails. And they’ll say, “I’m your No. 1 fan.” And I just write back, and I say, you know, “Don’t say that because I’m a human being just like you. And I know that you do good things, too.”

Awww. Humble until the very end. For his birthday, the late fitness guru noted:

“Today is a beautiful day. But nothing’s really different. I got up this morning. I said my prayers, I counted my blessings, and then I went to work. You know?”

And part of his day, of course, included chatting with fans:

“And writing messages, answering emails — and when the email is real extreme, I ask for their numbers, and I call them. I’m feeling great ’cause I’m helping people.”

What an amazing person he truly was.

The outlet reported that he was planning on making a comeback, which his brother Lenny also talked about — and fans were eagerly anticipating it. And on that front, Richard left off with an eerie sentiment that’s become all the more haunting knowing he passed just two days after giving it. He told the outlet:

“I know people miss me. And you know what? I miss them, too. But I’m able to reach them through phone calls… and through emails. And I do leave the house sometimes. But I’m in disguise.”

Wow. We’re just glad he lived what seemed like a very enjoyable life and stayed connected with fans right until the very end. Rest in peace, Richard.
