While chatting with Michelle Yeoh for Interview magazine about her new film The Substance, the pair opened up about the Hollywood beauty standards. The 61-year-old actress praised the Everything Everywhere All at Once for her acceptance speech at the Academy Awards, saying it reminded her that “we can define where we want it to go and who we are.” She continued:

“We don’t have to fight against that, we just have to believe that something else is possible. To me, what’s exciting is, in the film, I’m representing a past ideal and not what my present is.”

Looking back, Demi noted she specifically struggled with her place in the business after working on the Charlie’s Angels 2003 sequel — all because of the chatter about her appearance. She called out one scene in particular, in which she meets Cameron Diaz’s character at a beach during a stakeout while wearing a black bikini. Watch (below):

The scene was instantly iconic as Demi showed everyone she still looked AMAZING! Unfortunately the reaction was the opposite of what it should have been. Instead of realizing older women could still be taking on bombshell or femme fatale roles, folks in Hollywood got confused about what to do with her!

Demi, who was 40 during filming, felt “there didn’t seem to be a place for” her in Hollywood after the “talk about” her looks. She told Michelle:

“What’s interesting is I felt it more when I hit my forties. I had done Charlie’s Angels, and there was a lot of conversation around this scene in a bikini, and it was all very heightened, a lot of talk about how I looked. And then I found that there didn’t seem to be a place for me. I didn’t feel like I didn’t belong. It’s more like I felt that feeling of, I’m not 20, I’m not 30, but I wasn’t yet what they perceived as a mother.”

At that time, Demi really started to question where she “fit in”:

“It was a time that felt, not dead, but flat.”

Like so many actresses, Michelle sadly understood the Ghost star’s experience. Unfortunately, there are still too many men — both on the fan side AND producers — who are incredibly harsh when it comes to a woman’s aging looks. And as she pointed out, the business is so “cruel” to women as they age, saying:

“Hollywood is cruel to women of that age, where you don’t find the scripts or the characters that resonate with you anymore. It’s either, you are the mother or you’re old enough not to be sexy in their eyes. It’s like, why can’t a 45-year-old, a 50-year-old, or 60-year-old, be sexy?”

Exactly!

The singer sat down with her former stylist and current Interview Magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg this week. During their chat, they spoke about how she found love with the 35-year-old rapper. Apparently, it all began in 2012 when they first met at the MTV Video Music Awards. Don’t expect a romantic and sweet moment between them, though. It turned out A$AP grabbed her ass without permission! She recalled:

“He grabbed my ass! So that was the day that we thought we met — at rehearsal, so it was, like, manager to manager, client to client.”

However, A$AP did not keep things strictly business. He took things too far and grabbed her butt that night! After the shocking incident, her team became “worried” that she would want “his head on a f**king mantle.” However, Rihanna was not mad! Surprisingly, she was cool with it! The Fenty creator told Mel:

“I was like,’ Ah, nah.’ That’s why everybody was like, ‘Oh my god. She likes him.’”

Not a great start to a relationship, if you ask us! To grab the butt of someone you just met without their consent is not OK. It is harassment! But despite the inappropriate moment, she and the Fashion Killa artist remained in each other’s lives. For years afterward, they were always supportive of each other. However, things were never romantic between them for a long time. She said:

“We saw fashion the same. We saw creative the same. We ended up in the same circles a lot. And past that, when we grew up, we ended up supporting each other’s brands and products and creative all the time. I would wear his shit, he would show up to my launches.”

And it wasn’t until 2019 that they decided to give a relationship a shot. RiRi shared:

“We’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships. We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts. And so, we started dating with a lot of caution. I just let whatever was supposed to happen, happen. It was just, ‘This is a flower. It’s either going to die or blossom. But I’m going to let it decide itself.’”

But like many couples, the pair got super serious really fast a few months into their relationship, all thanks to COVID. Of course, we all witnessed how quick their romance progressed! These two went on to have their son RZA in 2022 and their second baby boy Riot a year later! But if the pandemic never happened, Rihanna feels they would not be where they are today:

“COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like god knew we needed because we were going to start a family. And had it not been for COVID, we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready. I mean, we didn’t even really talk about it. There was no denying it. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. It just happened.”

Whoa! Ultimately, the Ocean’s 8 actress seems to be happy with their relationship. She continued:

“I let god lead and just let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough. So when someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their kids, it’s a great feeling. I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad.”

Whether Rihanna and A$AP’s relationship will go the distance after that red flag first meeting, well, time will only tell! But they seem to be in it for the long haul. ICYMI, the 59-year-old reality star revealed earlier this month that she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons. As Lisa moves on from the Bravo show, she is not doing so without spilling some major tea first! She sat down for a conversation with Interview Magazine on Friday, where she talked about everything from her experience on RHOBH, her relationships with her co-stars, her exit from the show, and more! Trust us when we say she did not hold back!

As you know, filming for season 12 of the show was not easy for Lisa as she was not only grappling with the loss of her mother, Lois Rinna, but she was involved in some major drama with Kathy Hilton after a cast trip to Aspen. After facing backlash from the viewers, Lisa realized that the series was too “unhealthy” for her and she needed to go. She explained to the publication:

“What happened was I left, really, right after the reunion. People don’t know that. But I let everybody know right after the reunion that I was going to move on, that was going to be it. … I had a rough year. I never think, ‘Oh wow. It’s just such a rough year, and I’ll never be able to handle it again.’ I can always come back and handle something. But something has gotten to the Housewife Universe because of what’s going on in the world, and it’s reflected in the way the fans react to the world of Housewives. And I just think it’s unhealthy. It wasn’t working for me. It wasn’t right for me.”

In fact, the television personality said she “f**king hated” working on season 12 after what went down, especially between her and Kathy:

“The story just didn’t get told as two-sidedly as I would’ve liked.”

Bravo fans will recall that tensions between the two women came to a head when the 63-year-old had an off-camera meltdown during which she spoke horribly about her sister Kyle Richards and other cast members, including Crystal Kung Minkoff and Sutton Stracke. Check out the drama (below):

However, Kathy slammed the accusations on the reunion, claiming Lisa only brought it up to secure her spot in the next season. She also called the Melrose Place alum “the biggest bully in Hollywood.” Oof. Speaking about the situation, Lisa remarked that it was “unfortunate” that there “weren’t cameras in Aspen” to capture what happened at the time, adding:

“In the moment, I didn’t think to turn on my voice memos. When somebody’s having a nuclear breakdown, you don’t think, ‘Oh, I should be filming this.’ That doesn’t come across your mind. When you’ve actually tried to save somebody and get somebody out of a club because they were hurting themselves, you think, ‘What the fuck do I do? Do I call the police? I don’t know what to do.’ So yes, it was unfortunate that in this sprinter van, there were no cameras. Because we were done filming. We’d shut down.

Lisa then claimed there was a “smear campaign that went on online against” her following the drama, saying:

“It was all very calculated. And there was a person on payroll doing that.”

Whoa! Despite the drama between her and Kathy, though, it sounds like they’ve made amends. She recalled to the outlet that her husband Harry Hamlin encouraged her to work things out with the fashion designer at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards:

“We saw Kathy at the People’s Choice Awards. Harry said to me, ‘You really should just say hi to her and just try to move on from this because it’s not going to do either one of you any good.’ So at the People’s Choice Awards, I saw her. We had already had moments together where we didn’t talk and didn’t even acknowledge one another. And I said, ‘Hi Kathy, how are you? You look great.’ And it broke the ice. She and I were chatting with Erika.”

She continued:

“I give her a lot of credit for showing up to the reunion, because she could have run like Lisa Vanderpump did. But she came and she fought. She’s got balls and I respect that she stood up for what she wants people to believe and what she believes in. And I felt good about seeing her and going, ‘Hey, we kind of went through the fire together and here we are. We’re still standing. We’ve been nominated for an award. We do a TV show and it’s time to move along.’”

Looking back on this past season, Lisa ultimately doesn’t feel she owes anyone an apology – including Sutton Stracke after the invite debacle over Elton John’s annual Oscars party:

“I’ve thought a lot about it. I already apologized to Sutton [Stracke] at the reunion saying, “Yeah, I had some moments with you that weren’t cool.” But I didn’t do anything other than tell the truth. And when I screamed at Sutton, I apologized in the moment at the dinner. And at my house, I was drunk after the wine tasting. These are not excuses, they just are. I still think it’s really shitty what she did, trying to put this ticket thing on us.”

She also insisted she was “no more terrible than” she’s been in seasons past:

“I just do what the job requires. Some years, it’s more successful than others. This year, if you really look at it, I was no more terrible than I’ve ever been. I raised my voice to Sutton Stracke twice. Big fucking deal. Look at Erika’s behavior. Our behavior is similar, but to single out this year—”

Moving on to Lisa Vanderpump…

In case you didn’t know, the pair feuded for years, starting when Lisa accused LVP of encouraging everyone in the cast to claim Yolanda Hadid had Munchausen Syndrome instead of Lyme Disease. Addressing one of her most controversial moments, she doubled down on the accusation that the businesswoman fueled the storyline:

“I was too new at the time to realize that that’s the story they wanted to push and I took the bait.”

Looking for clarification, the journalist questioned if “producers wanted to push Munchausen’s by Proxy.” The Days Of Our Lives star then accused LVP of somewhat “brainwashing” her at the time:

“Well I don’t know if it was producers, but it was Vanderpump and a little bit of Kyle. And I didn’t realize it at the time because they’re so fucking good at it. So I just jumped right into it. Vanderpump would call me in the morning for days and feed… They feed you. It’s like a fucking brainwashing. I’m not even kidding. And I took the bait. I did exactly what they wanted me to do.”

Their feud later escalated when the Rinna Beauty founder joked about a “pill bag” she carried with her and suggested putting Xanax in a smoothie during a 2017 RHOBH episode. In the Interview Magazine conversation, Lisa revealed after that episode, she knew her co-stars “were behind the scenes talking about me being a drug addict.” She further claimed:

“It was Vanderpump who wanted this narrative out there that I was a pill head, or whatever.”

And there’s more! The pair really got into it in 2019 when Puppygate, better known as Lucy Lucy Apple Juice to fans, happened. The drama started when Dorit Kemsley adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs but later gave it away to another family when she realized it wasn’t a good fit with her loved ones. That family then placed the puppy in a kill shelter. When they scanned the dog for a microchip, they found contact info for Vanderpump Dogs and alerted the group. LVP ended up confronting Dorit about the situation – and when the incident leaked to the press, the cast accused the Vanderpump Rules star of orchestrating it. She denied the allegations and quit RHOBH midway through season 9. When asked about the storylines in Interview Magazine, Lisa responded:

“She thought she could get away with it with Apple Lucy Juicy Bucy Pucy, and she didn’t. Because I was already onto her.”

However, Lisa believes “she could have fought her way through” the Puppygate drama if she actually showed up for the season 9 reunion:

“What a p***y. She didn’t show up to the reunion, boo-hoo.”

As for their long-standing rift? Lisa noted they “always had a really great cat and mouse game that we played”:

“We were really great together. And then once I really got caught onto what she does, I wasn’t having it. You don’t get to not have your hands dirty. I really saw what she was doing and she liked that.”

When asked if the former co-stars have repaired things, Lisa revealed there’s zero” relationship between them. We cannot say this news is surprising! We mean, the SUR owner tweeted “Ding Dong” when the author announced her exit — a clear reference to the famous “Ding Dong the Witch is dead” line from Wizard of Oz. So it’s safe to say, things are still pretty bad between them! Rinna commented on the shady post, saying:

“Well, that’s what everybody said when she left the show.”

And LVP isn’t the only cast member she doesn’t have a relationship with anymore! While on RHOBH, Lisa also had beef with Denise Richards when she tried to get her to admit to having an affair with Brandi Glanville. It was a very messy situation. But where do they stand today? Lisa shared that their relationship is “nonexistent.”

And of course, Lisa had a lot more to say about her other co-stars. She touched some more on Sutton and Garcelle Beauvais, insisting they will “have a tough time” next season “because they’re going to have to show up and work”:

“I did a lot of work. Because I’m a worker bee and I’ll just do it. I’ll say it. I don’t have any fear. If you’re so liked, you’re not going to want to do the work. So, who’s going to do the work over there? That’s my question.”

She also noted that the women are “sharks,” agreeing with the interviewer that they need to be “comfortable with being villainous”:

“Well, they just need to be who they really are. They are that, but they just have to let go of this facade they created.”

As for Crystal? Lisa said she gives her “the benefit of the doubt” since she’s “too young,” adding:

“You’ve got to be a more hardened bitch like we are to do this show. She’s like a baby dolphin and we are sharks.”

On Wednesday, Interview Magazine published a conversation between former co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried, where they discussed everything from their professional lives, like Lindsay’s hubby, to the possibility of a sequel to their iconic 2004 film.

The Parent Trap star touched on her upcoming projects, saying she’s “deciding what else to do” following her return to cinema with Falling for Christmas, as Amanda asked:

“A musical?”

To which Lindsay responded:

“That would be fun. Also, I’ve never done action.”

When the Mamma Mia alum brought up possibly doing a “Marvel” flick, the 36-year-old said:

“Yeah. That would be cool. Or a thriller.”

Then Amanda suggested another project:

“I would kill just to do one week, all of us playing our own roles on Mean Girls on Broadway. … Because a Mean Girls 2 is never going to happen, is it?”

Technically, there was a second film created in 2011, but let’s be real here, it doesn’t hold a candle to the original! And while fans would love to see another Mean Girls movie with the first cast, you might not want hold your breath on it happening. As Lindsay responded:

“I don’t know. I heard something about it being a movie musical and I was like, ‘Oh no.’ We can’t do that. It has to be the same tone.”

The Jennifer’s Body star agreed, saying:

“Yeah. It would just be completely different…”

Ugh! Amanda continued:

“Anyway, Tina [Fey] is busy. She’ll get around to it. Listen, we’re all part of each other’s worlds whether we like it or not, and it is really nice to be in contact as adults.”

Lindsay then added:

“Yeah, everyone’s still the same. It’s fun to have certain memories that we can’t share with anyone else.”

Truth! Amanda went on to reminisce about their time together filming the movie, recalling:

“I’ll never forget any of those moments. We killed Toronto. That Sutton Place was just a real s**thole at the time. But that bar was great. We were way too young, having way too much fun, and the movie ended up being more than anyone could have imagined. We’ve had such crazy lives.”

Amanda also told Lindsay that her appreciation for her experience on Mean Girls has changed over the years, explaining:

“Ten years ago I used to be like, “Yeah, yeah, I was Karen in Mean Girls, for fuck’s sake.” Now I’m like, “I was Karen in Mean Girls!” I’m very proud of it. You had a lot to do with where it went and what it was. I don’t know if you know that. I’m sure you felt the pressure but it didn’t seem like you did. You were working really young, and you were really good, but you were still a kid.”

The controversial rapper sat down for a long interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday night and covered a lot of highly sensitive topics. Of course, this comes days after his “White Lives Matter” stunt at his Paris Fashion Week show — and now, he’s not holding back in talking about that and the fallout from his feuds with fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and supermodel Gigi Hadid.

During the wide-ranging interview, the Jesus Walks rapper also spoke about a lot of other issues, too. They include his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, his family, politics, abortion, his thoughts on stars like Lizzo and Corey Gamble, and much more.

Here are a few highlights…

White Lives Matter

For one, Ye defended his decision to have models wear those “White Lives Matter” t-shirts. He also told Tucker about his idea to have right-wing pundit Candace Owens wear one in a backstage photo that quickly went viral:

“I do certain things from a feeling. I just channel the energy. It just feels right. It’s using a gut instinct, connection with God and just brilliance. If you asked Tonya Harding how she did the triple flip or the triple spin, she was in so much practice that when it was time for her to skate in a competitive format, it just happened… That’s what’s happening. God is preparing us for the real battles. We are in a battle with the media. The majority of the media has a godless agenda.”

And the Hurricane rapper’s own father supposedly backed him on the controversial choice. According to Ye, Ray West — who the rapper says is an “educated ex-Black Panther” — loved the shirts:

“You know, my dad is an educated ex-Black Panther, and he put in a text to me today, he said, ‘White Lives Matter. Ha ha ha ha ha.’ And I said, ‘I thought the shirt was a funny shirt. I thought the idea of me wearing it was funny.’ And I said, ‘Dad, why do you think it was funny?’ He said, ‘Just a Black man stating the obvious.’ That [was] my favorite response. ‘Cause people, they’re looking for an explanation, and people say, ‘Well, as an artist you don’t have to give an explanation,’ but as a leader, you do. So the answer to why I wrote White Lives Matter on a shirt is because they do. It’s the obvious thing.”

Stalking Pete Davidson

Ye attempted to address some of his past behavior aimed at Kim’s ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. The fashion designer slammed suppositions that he was doing anything untoward with Pete by buying a home close to Kim:

“The media ridiculed me for getting the house next door to Kim to see my children, and they even said I was stalking her and her new boyfriend because I bought the house next door to see my children.”

Kim “Put Her Ass Out”

Kanye slammed the media for having Kim “put her ass out” as a mother of four to sell products and stay in the public eye:

“Kim is a Christian, but she has people who want her to go to Interview magazine and put her ass out while she’s a 40-something-year-old multi-billionaire with four black children and this is how fashion, how they want to present her.”

Have to say it… What about all the nude shoots she did while you were married and cheering her on, Ye??

“Overly Sexualized” SKIMS Products

He then appeared to contradict himself by calling out his ex’s SKIMS brand for “a lot of issues” with their imagery and branding:

“I had a lot of issues with the imagery of SKIMS. I felt like there’s a lot of imagery that was overly sexualized and things I wouldn’t want to see my wife and definitely not my daughters doing in the future in order to sell product. But it reaches another level when it’s like, ‘OK, well this is what my wife is doing. This is what she is doing for our children.'”

Abortion & Being Pro-Life

When asked by Carlson about why he wears a lanyard with a “photograph of a baby’s ultrasound,” Ye doubled down on his “pro-life” stance. Speaking about the reactions to his controversial abortion opinions (and spewing fake stats), Kanye noted:

“I don’t care about people’s responses, but I care about the fact that there are more Black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point. That 50% of Black death in America is abortion. So I really don’t care about people’s response to that. I perform for an audience of one and that is God.”

His “Boy” Donald Trump

It’s only love between Ye and Donald Trump, at least in his latest interview. Chatting about the response to his support of the then-President, he recalled:

“My so-called friends-slash-handlers around me told me if I said that I liked Trump that my career would be over, that my life would be ove. They said stuff like, ‘People get killed for wearing a hat like that.’ They threatened my life. They basically said that I would be killed for wearing the hat.”

Still, he recognizes his “friend” Trump used him for ratings, adding:

“For older white people, they’re quick to classify a black person only by the fact that we’re black. Even Trump, a person that we’d consider a friend of mine, when I went to the White House, I called him after that to get ASAP Rocky out of jail. And one of the things he said to me is, ‘Kanye, you’re my friend. When you came to the White House, my black approval rating went up 40%.”

West, who ran for President himself in 2016, shared more feelings on Trump’s politics, bashing the New Yorker’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and his brother Joshua:

“After talking to them and really sitting with Jared and sitting with Josh and finding out other pieces of information I was like, ‘Wow, these guys might’ve really been holding Trump back and being very much a handler. They love to look at me or look at Trump like we’re so crazy and that they’re the businessmen… never brought anything of value other than so-called being a good venture capitalist. I have a major issue with that and it makes me feel like they weren’t serving my boy Trump the way we could have.”

But of course, there’s the Democrats, too:

“And for politicians, all black people are worth is an approval rating. The Democrats feel that they don’t owe us anything. And Republicans feel that they don’t owe us anything. Blacks have never demanded something for our vote.”

Influencers ‘Made In A Laboratory’

At one point, Ye took aim at Karefa-Johnson — the woman who initially criticized his White Lives Matter stunt.

Claiming she and Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend were “practically made in a laboratory,” Ye said:

“There’s so many things that are put in Kim’s head. They bring influencers, like no one ever knew where Corey Gamble came from, no one in the fashion world knows where [Karefa-Johnson] came from. These people were practically made in a laboratory in my opinion.”

He continued:

“And one of the things they’re really good at doing is being nice and being likable. And what they do is for people who have some form of influence — whether it’s an educated Black woman like my mother that became the head of the English department at Chicago State University, or whether it’s the most influential white woman on the planet, being my ex-wife — they have people that are around them at all times telling them what to be afraid of. Not what to do or say, specifically, it’s what to be afraid of. And if you have a person that isn’t afraid of them like a Russell Brand or Candace Owens, it’s not that we have to agree with this, but they’re not afraid to state what their opinion is.”

Lizzo And Body Positivity

Ye also took aim at the Good As Hell singer. Alleging that “being overweight is the new goal,” the Life of Pablo rapper asserted the portrayal of the pop star and her physical attributes is “demonic” to Black people:

“They had the idea that Ye was bullying… a ‘body goals Black woman.’ Now let’s talk about [Karefa-Johnson] and my good friend Lizzo. Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine, Harley Pasternak. When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots… on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it’s actually unhealthy. Let’s get aside from the fact whether it’s in fashion and in vogue, which it’s not, or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own. It’s actually clinically unhealthy. For people to promote that, it’s demonic… It’s a genocide of the Black race. They want to kill us in any way they can.”

Wow.

BTW, Ye also called Elon Musk a “great team player,” in case you needed even more to seal the deal on how much of a s**t show this whole interview was.

The Chicago-born rapper and his new girlfriend, actress Julia Fox, broke the internet in their own way on Thursday with a new photo shoot for Interview magazine. In the spread, titled “Date Night,” Fox’s byline appeared on a couple paragraphs of text explaining her recent connection to Ye and their very public last couple of outings.

Of course, we’ve already been reporting quite a bit on the new couple’s romantic fling, but the actress delivered a bit more insight into how things played out. To begin the piece, she explained how she met Ye on the final day of 2021 and immediately vibed with his energy and personality (below):

“I met Ye in Miami on New Year’s Eve and it was an instant connection. His energy is so fun to be around. He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night. We decided to keep the energy going and fly back to New York City to see Slave Play. Ye’s flight landed at six and the play was at seven and he was there ON TIME. I was impressed. After the play we chose to do dinner at Carbone which is one of my favorite restaurants. Obviously.”

Isn’t Carbone one of Kim Kardashian‘s faves too??

Anyway, Fox continued from there, recalling her “Cinderella moment” upon discovering Ye had set up a photo shoot and procured for her an entire closet full of new clothes for an impromptu modeling sesh! The Milan-born actress revealed:

“At the restaurant, Ye directed an entire photo shoot for me while people dined! The whole restaurant loved it and cheered us on while it was happening. After dinner Ye had a surprise for me. I mean, I’m still in shock. Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date! Everything with us has been so organic. I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride.”

Damn! You’ve only had a couple dates! And you’ve gotta see the photo set coming from Interview‘s viral piece, too!

Obviously, this whole thing is very interesting to us: those are some amazing gifts, and it’s a very well-thought-out spread that no doubt must have been a great surprise. Ye LOVES fashion, and he’s not afraid to go in on a woman’s wardrobe, sometimes to amazing success.

But are there red flags here too?? Like, is Ye just showing his true colors early as a controlling boyfriend who wants to decide what his partner wears at all time?! Because that’s problematic!

Or instead of love-bombing to a concerning degree, is there an ulterior motive that’s arguably even worse: him trying to get under his estranged wife’s skin in a very public way?? And thus, this whole photo shoot isn’t even about any connection to Julia, but rather his ongoing PR battle with estranged wife?!

After all, Kanye did do something very similar with the KUWTK star back when they first got together. And it hasn’t been lost on fans that Fox’s new fashion sense is in many ways remarkably similar to Ye’s former influence on the KKW Beauty founder. Just saying!!!

Well, it has its challenges, according to Lourdes Leon. Madonna’s daughter is steadily making a name for herself in the modeling world, but she’s kept her life surprisingly private for someone who grew up in the public eye. Apparently, that was a deliberate decision on her part to stay out of her mom’s spotlight — and away from her controlling parenting.

In a new conversation for Interview magazine, the newly-turned 25-year-old admitted that growing up, “the list of things I wasn’t allowed to do is never-ending.” Asked about her choice to pay her own college tuition, she explained:

“We don’t get any handouts in my family. Obviously, I grew up with extreme privilege. There’s no denying that. But I think my mom saw all these other kids of famous people, and she was like, ‘My kids are not going to be like this.’ Also, I feel like if your parents pay for things, then it gives them leverage over you. My mom is such a control freak, and she has controlled me my whole life. I needed to be completely independent from her as soon as I graduated high school.”

Damn! There’s some honesty for you!

Though she may have some complicated feelings towards Mommie Dearest, Timothée Chalamet’s ex is also very protective of her pop star parent. According to interviewer Debi Mazar, when strangers ask about her mom, Lourdes will turn the question back on them. The cover girl elaborated:

“It’s really funny to me. People are always really taken aback when I say that, because it’s like, ‘Bitch, don’t talk about my mom if you don’t want me to talk about your mom. You want to call my mom a whore? Okay, your mom is a whore.’ If you feel like you have the right to comment on my mother, then I’m going to do the same to you.”

She also noted a growing appreciation for the Grammy winner:

“My experience with my mom’s music has changed so much as I’ve gotten older, because I’m increasingly able to recognize how influential and amazing this woman is, and how empowering to other women and ahead of her time she has always been. I didn’t fully comprehend that until I realized the importance of empowerment and what it means to be a woman. She’s probably the hardest worker I’ve ever seen. I didn’t inherit that, unfortunately. I inherited her control issues, but not her work ethic!”

As for what advice the artist has given her daughter over the years, Madge is apparently “very insistent on making me think about what I want to be known for beyond my looks.” Her firstborn added:

“She said something to me recently that has really stuck with me. I’ve been so concerned with making a decent living, and wanting to live more luxuriously than I was when I first graduated and wasn’t earning a lot of money. She was like, ‘Remember, this s**t is not real. It’s not about the money or your face or how hot you look. It’s about what you’re bringing into the world and what you’re going to leave behind.’ That always shakes me awake when I get too caught up in everything.”

That’s some sage advice if we’ve ever heard it. And it sounds like Lourdes and her momma have a pretty good relationship, at least now that she’s out of the house and living independently. Good for her, for making her own way in the world.

Speaking with Demi Moore for Interview Magazine, the 23-year-old actor reflected on how his latest role in the controversial COVID-19 film Songbird has made him feel more “free.”

“I felt so free coming from a show where I feel like I’m in jail a lot of the time. There are so many restrictions on what I can and can’t do. With this character, it was like, ‘Wow, this is what it’s like to really express myself in a natural way.’ I wasn’t covered in makeup or hair products. I had long hair and a beard. I just felt free.”

That bad, huh? It seems to be a similar feeling for many of the show’s stars, as Lili Reinhart recently said she felt “like a prisoner” when returning to the series amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Sadly, this has become a common theme.

As many Riverdale fans know, Apa has played Archie Andrews for nearly six seasons and has gained a huge following since the pilot aired in 2017. However, he said the “pressure” of the character still gets to him sometimes.

“There’s been so much pressure in playing Archie. I’m so grateful for the show and its success, but at the same time, there’s a lot of baggage that comes with that success. I feel like the only people I can talk to about my issues are my costars, the people who can really relate to me.”

During his candid conversation, the actor went on to say that the one “amazing person” to have on set has been Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones, because he has had so much experience in the spotlight. (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, anyone?!) Unfortunately, the Last Summer star had more to unload. Sharing his frustration over his fans’ inabilities to see him as a real person, KJ admitted:

“I try and look at it from a fan’s perspective to understand the way they think. But there are times when I’m like, ‘Wow, they really have no idea that we are actual people. They can’t separate us from our characters.’ You don’t have that in other professions. You don’t dissect the life of a builder and start judging the decisions he makes in his life with his wife and kids.”

He ended this part of the interview with:

“As an actor, I will be judged on everything: my political opinions, my opinions on drugs, my opinions on the people I want to be with. Everything. It’s something I’ve had to come to terms with.”

As we previously reported, the celeb had come under fire after defending his silence on Black Lives Matter amid the protests over the police’s killing of George Floyd. Many folks on social media believed Apa should have spoken out in support of the movement since he profited from his role in The Hate U Give. But the musician didn’t agree, writing in a since-deleted tweet:

“I don’t need to post about my opinions and beliefs in order for them to be real to me. I support Black lives. But I don’t feel it’s necessary to prove to people I do by posting my attendance at these protests.”

And that is where you’re wrong, sir, as you have a large following and could have spread information. Even more so, you could have just shown some sort of support for the movement on your platform. But we digress.

Anyway, this interview might be a sign that the hit show needs to be over for the stars’ sanity! Of course, though, that would make a whole lot of fans upset. That’s pretty much what Amy Schumer did for the new Interview magazine cover story, where the songstress candidly opened up about everything from childhood fame to overcoming her anxiety struggles, and as well as releasing her new album Rare.

When asked what motivates the 27-year-old to share so much about her life and struggles, Selena replied:

“My intention was never to become a tabloid. So when things kind of happened that way, it got out of control. And then I was like, ‘Wait, none of this is true.’ The way the media has sometimes tried to explain things has made it sound really bad, when in reality there’s nothing wrong with the fact that I needed to go away or that I fell in love. I had to start opening up because people were taking away my narrative, and it was killing me.”

Gomez said that despite going through “some really difficult stuff,” she wouldn’t let it drag her down:

“I’ve gone through some really difficult stuff, and because of those moments, whether I liked it or not, a picture was painted of my life. That was scary because I didn’t want it to affect my career.”

When asked by Amy if she was referring to her personal life affecting her career, the singer spilled:

“It got out of control when I was super young. I think it showed people that I was weak in certain moments, and that I had troubles. Some people just get off on building people up and then trying to bring them down.”

While it’s not clear exactly whether or not she’s referring to her relationship with ex Justin Bieber, we have a pretty good feeling she could be! As you’re likely aware, Miz Gomez returned to the music scene earlier this year with Rare, which features some tracks seemingly hinting at their split. Opening up about the album’s debut single, Lose You To Love Me, she explained:

“I wrote it at the beginning of last year and had just gotten out of treatment. It was a moment when I came back, and I was just like, ‘I’m ready to go into the studio with people I trust and start working on songs.’ There was an air around it where people were very happy, because it was like I was going to finally be me.”

She added:

“But I didn’t necessarily see it that way at the time. When I wrote the song, I was basically saying that I needed to hit rock-bottom to understand that there was this huge veil over my face.”

Speaking of music, apparently, the Disney alum doesn’t pay much mind to reviews of her own work:

“I’ve read a few [reviews], especially because I hadn’t released an album in four years. My friend sent me a couple of good reviews, and it felt amazing, because not all of my albums have been seen that way. I didn’t go beyond that because I know what happens to me. Getting into an internet spiral? I can’t do it.”

So what else has Gomez been up to? She’s been developing her new makeup brand, Rare Beauty, which is set to launch exclusively at Sephora this summer:

“I wanted to start a conversation about how can you make yourself feel great. It’s not necessarily about needing these things to make yourself feel beautiful. All of it is just meant to be good for you and good for the environment.”

Delving deeper into what sparked her interest in pivoting to beauty, the Spring Breakers star shared:

“People of my generation have all this pressure to look a certain way, and I wanted to make a line that took away a bit of that pressure. I use real people in the campaigns. I have 48 shades of foundation and concealer. It’s all very clean and easy. I wanted people to feel safe.”

The ageless Friends alum celebrated her 51st birthday on Tuesday, and recently chatted with pal Sandra Bullock about what her future plans include for Interview Magazine‘s March cover story.

The Miss Congeniality star asked Aniston:

“What is it that you haven’t done yet that you are looking forward to doing? Is it on a work level? Is it on a spiritual evolvement level? Is it all of the above?”

The Rachel Green portrayer candidly responded:

“My gut reaction was to say all of the above. It’s not so much what I see myself doing, but it’s more like a little screenshot in my brain. I hear the ocean, I see the ocean, I hear laughter, I see kids running, I hear ice in a glass, I smell food being cooked. That’s the joyous snapshot in my head.”

We totally see that for her, too!

The old friends didn’t get much into the topic of love (even though it’s something on all of our minds), besides reminiscing about how they met through a mutual ex, The O.C. star Tate Donovan, whom they both dated in the 1990s:

BULLOCK: “We both partook of Tate [Donovan, the actor].”

ANISTON: “We both partook of Tate.”

BULLOCK: “Who was a very patient human being, given that he dated us both.”

ANISTON: “He seems to have a type.”

BULLOCK: “Talented. Funny. Kind. Introspective. Generous.”

ANISTON: Lovers of architecture, lovers of interior design.”

Jen also reflected on how much she’s grown in all the years since the two first met:

“Like you said, this conversation of women supporting women is new, but I think we have been doing it for a long time. When I landed in Los Angeles at 20 years old and I fell into those girls who are still sitting around the table today, they were on a different path. I’d never had a circle of women who got together and talked forever. I was like, ‘God, these California people don’t shut up. They talk about their feelings and cry in front of each other.’ I said to myself, ‘Here I am, a girl who grew up in New York City, and now I find myself in Laurel Canyon, wearing a flowery dress and someone put a crystal around my neck and is burning sage around my head. I have landed on Mars.’ But I really think it was something that saved me. This is a really tough business that we’re in that is not always kind or inclusive or supportive. A lot of the time, it’s the opposite. I remember going to auditions and girls would never want to share anything. Or they would talk to you during your auditions to distract you when they knew you were trying to work on your stuff.”

Yikes! We’re glad those days are in the past!
