While chatting with Michelle Yeoh for Interview magazine about her new film The Substance, the pair opened up about the Hollywood beauty standards. The 61-year-old actress praised the Everything Everywhere All at Once for her acceptance speech at the Academy Awards, saying it reminded her that “we can define where we want it to go and who we are.” She continued:

“We don’t have to fight against that, we just have to believe that something else is possible. To me, what’s exciting is, in the film, I’m representing a past ideal and not what my present is.”

Looking back, Demi noted she specifically struggled with her place in the business after working on the Charlie’s Angels 2003 sequel — all because of the chatter about her appearance. She called out one scene in particular, in which she meets Cameron Diaz’s character at a beach during a stakeout while wearing a black bikini. Watch (below):

The scene was instantly iconic as Demi showed everyone she still looked AMAZING! Unfortunately the reaction was the opposite of what it should have been. Instead of realizing older women could still be taking on bombshell or femme fatale roles, folks in Hollywood got confused about what to do with her!

Demi, who was 40 during filming, felt “there didn’t seem to be a place for” her in Hollywood after the “talk about” her looks. She told Michelle:

“What’s interesting is I felt it more when I hit my forties. I had done Charlie’s Angels, and there was a lot of conversation around this scene in a bikini, and it was all very heightened, a lot of talk about how I looked. And then I found that there didn’t seem to be a place for me. I didn’t feel like I didn’t belong. It’s more like I felt that feeling of, I’m not 20, I’m not 30, but I wasn’t yet what they perceived as a mother.”

At that time, Demi really started to question where she “fit in”:

“It was a time that felt, not dead, but flat.”

Like so many actresses, Michelle sadly understood the Ghost star’s experience. Unfortunately, there are still too many men — both on the fan side AND producers — who are incredibly harsh when it comes to a woman’s aging looks. And as she pointed out, the business is so “cruel” to women as they age, saying:

“Hollywood is cruel to women of that age, where you don’t find the scripts or the characters that resonate with you anymore. It’s either, you are the mother or you’re old enough not to be sexy in their eyes. It’s like, why can’t a 45-year-old, a 50-year-old, or 60-year-old, be sexy?”

Exactly!

Late Thursday night, Brit shared a clip of herself dancing in a hotel room in Las Vegas. Same ol’, same ol’, right? WRONG! The clip itself was not unusual. It showed the Toxic singer dancing in a low-cut cheetah print bathing suit. She had sexy knee-high black boots on, too, as well as a black string bikini top aiding for more coverage. But the caption is the real story!! In it, the Baby One More Time crooner made light of her hair, which sat high and messy on her head. To do so, she referenced Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz‘s iconic scene in the 1998 film There’s Something About Mary:

“I have no idea what’s going on with the hair but obviously the ‘something about Mary’ hair is a hit … I haven’t danced in a really long time so I was just playing around in my cheetah Sa bathing suit !!! A little movement and the left field piano! oh well … It was either make that or another grilled cheese !!!”

Wait a minute… There’s Something About Mary? Cameron Diaz?! This isn’t an innocent nostalgic reference at all! It’s a dig at Brit’s ex Justin Timberlake!! As y’all no doubt know, JT started dating Cameron way back in 2003 — just a few months after he and Spears split! Eventually, the boy band singer and the actress split up in 2007 after rumors surfaced claiming Justin had cheated on her with Playboy Bunny Zoe Gregory. The *NSYNC crooner then turned around and started dating Jessica Biel not long after that.

But are we to sit here and believe that Britney just so happened to post a reference to Cameron Diaz and it’s not another subtle dig at Justin after his DWI arrest earlier this week?! No way. The Louisiana native has been the queen of subtle digs this week already, and it feels like Brit TOTALLY knew what she was doing with this one! (And maybe that’s why she deleted the post so quickly, too!)

On Friday, the couple revealed on Instagram that they welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Cardinal Madden. For “safety and privacy” reasons, Cameron and Benji will not share photos of their little ones. Instead, the post included a piece of colorful artwork featuring a rose along with the text, “A little bird whispered to me.” Obviously, it is a reference to Cardinal’s name. They wrote in the caption:

“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here! For the kids safety and privacy we won’t be posting any pictures- but he’s a really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our fam to yours. Cameron and Benji are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Raddix. There had been whispers the pair wanted to expand their family for a while. Back in 2022, an insider told Us Weekly they even “discussed having another child and have even been looking into surrogate options for a while now.” They hoped to have a boy to complete their family. The source said at the time:

“Benji always wanted a big family, and Cameron didn’t need to be persuaded after the arrival of their daughter. They would love a boy, of course, but just want a healthy baby. The surrogacy with their daughter was something they had a lot of doubts about going in. It turned out to be the best thing they ever did.”

OK for real, we’ve known for sure JT wasn’t the most loyal guy since he was caught on camera getting cozy with a co-star named Alisha Wainwright while filming the movie Palmer in New Orleans in 2019. Jessica Biel didn’t dump her hubby and baby daddy, but we heard they had to do a lot of counseling. And also that she’s keeping him on a short leash…

But this infidelity claim isn’t about his wife. This one goes way back… to his ex Cameron Diaz! The two dated from 2003 to 2007, his first lasting relationship after the big, bad Britney Spears breakup. It was during that period, claims Zoe Gregory, that she had her own Justin time.

The former Playboy Bunny released a memoir last month called From Britain to Bunny: A Playmate’s Journey Living the American Dream. It obvi didn’t get the coverage of Brit’s book, but eventually one juicy story did find its way to our ears. She claims JT cheated on Cameron with her!

The model writes about an incident in the early to mid-2000’s when Justin was at a party at the Playboy Mansion — without his Charlie’s Angel! Zoe says she took the opportunity to hit on him! The story goes, per an excerpt in OK Magazine, that he mentioned his girlfriend and who she was. But all it took was Zoe pointing out Cameron’s absence for him to go for it with her!

“He didn’t want to look like a wimp. We both got in the grotto and we both got our kit off — down to his shorts — and we ended up fooling around.”

Wow. If this is true, what a jerk! They do say once a cheater, always a cheater…

Zoe makes it clear they did NOT have sex, btw, “but we had a fondle and we made out”:

“I just wanted to tick him off my list, to be honest. It was literally a five-minute thing and from what I can remember, he was decent.”

What stopped them? A moral line JT would never cross? Not exactly. As many Playmates have spoken out about recently, staying at the Mansion ranked somewhere between living in a draconian sorority and being incarcerated at a posh prison. And boss Hugh Hefner had told her she wasn’t supposed to be at that party! It was Zoe’s fear of the mag’s founder that kept her time in the grotto with JT on the short side:

“I was so scared of getting caught that I couldn’t continue for too long. Before it could go any further, we both put our clothes back on and said goodbye.”

Hmm. We’re not sure what to think. On the one hand, there’s plenty of reason to lie — it could absolutely be a clout-chasing situation here. And Justin is an extremely convenient whipping boy at the moment. On the other hand, the reason he’s such a good target is because we already know he was down to cheat on his wife. And that was a decade+ and two kids later, when he’s supposed to be wiser and more responsible! We think we believe her…

She stunned in gray cargo pants, a white t-shirt, cream cardigan, and white sneakers of her own as the two were likely heading over to shoot scenes for the upcoming action-comedy — or were possibly in the middle of shooting! As we’ve been following, Jamie was reportedly in a “life-threatening situation” which, while he’s touched on it to fans, has never actually given the specifics of. He explained in an Instagram video last summer:

“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show. I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”

One movie star whose name came up was Cameron Diaz. We still don’t really know for sure why. But it’s clear she wants everyone to know she did NOT know this man. Her rep told Page Six on Friday:

“Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she ever in the same place as him or had any association with him whatsoever, regardless of the fact he may or may not have mentioned her name or implied that he knew her.”

As we’ve been reporting, many of the names mentioned in the pile of unredacted legal documents were just that — mentions. Not accusations, not innuendo. Most of the movie stars were brought up when witnesses said they didn’t meet them!

In the case of Cameron, Johanna Sjöberg — an Epstein trafficking victim who also worked as his assistant — was asked in a deposition about meeting movie stars. She clarified she hadn’t met Bruce Willis or Leonardo DiCaprio or Cate Blanchett, rather Epstein would often drop the names of big stars, saying he had just been speaking to them. And that was the closest she got. Then an attorney specifically asked:

“Did you meet Cameron Diaz?”

To which Sjöberg responded:

“No.”

That’s it. That’s the entirety of the Charlie’s Angels star’s involvement, apparently. A lawyer being curious.

Nothing like Bill Clinton or Prince Andrew or David Copperfield, who are facing fresh accusations from the docs.

What we’re actually looking at is a bunch of legal documents, depositions, etc, which have been largely public for years — only redacted. Names were replaced with Jane and John Doe to protect reputations. This isn’t because 150 different people were accused of participating in the sex trafficking ring; most names were mentioned in a far less incriminating way. It’s just that at this point any association with Epstein and his circle is sketchy. But we still owe it to all these stars to pay attention to the context with which their names are mentioned. OK, everyone got that?

Most of the big A-lister names mentioned in the docs are, in fact, in the nature of an Epstein victim clarifying she never met them. For instance…

Cameron Diaz

In Johanna Sjöberg‘s deposition, she is asked about meeting various movie stars during her time with Epstein. She says simply that she never met Cameron Diaz. And there you go, Cameron Diaz’s name is in the docs. No allegations or concrete ties to Epstein, but her name is there.

Kevin Spacey

Likewise Sjöberg was asked about Kevin Spacey. And again she denied ever having met him. Whatever Spacey has been accused of, if it ever overlapped with Epstein (which seems unlikely considering the latter only trafficked young women), Johanna never knew about it.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis

A trio of A-listers are mentioned in a single moment during Sjöberg’s testimony as examples of how Epstein would casually drop big names. She was asked about meeting movie stars, and she clarified:

“I did not meet them, no. When I spoke about them, it was when I was massaging him, and he would get off — he would be on the phone a lot at that time, and one time he said, ‘Oh, that was Leonardo,’ or, ‘That was Cate Blanchett,’ or Bruce Willis. That kind of thing.”

So she was present when Epstein was on the phone with movie stars — or at least, that’s what he claimed. Obviously no one knows if he was even telling the truth or big-timing the poor girl. Also, it’s not entirely clear to us if the names she mentioned were examples or ones she specifically remembered hearing.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was a huge star Sjöberg actually did meet. She claimed to have met the late King of Pop once at Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, Florida, while she was working as his assistant.

This has actually been documented before, in the 2020 book Relentless Pursuit. Lawyer Bradley J. Edwards, who represented multiple Epstein victims, noted the association with Jacko, writing:

“For a young woman like Johanna, the fact that there were stars who were friends with Jeffrey and Ghislaine was an attractive bonus of the job. Even the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, had been enough of an Epstein acquaintance to pay him a visit in Palm Beach while Johanna was working there.”

Naomi Campbell

Another name that pops up is supermodel Naomi Campbell. In 2016 Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre said she was sent to have sex with “the owner of a large hotel chain in France around the time of Naomi Campbell’s birthday party.” Sjöberg also mentions Campbell, saying she never met her in person.

Naomi herself has acknowledged having previously hung out in the same circles as Epstein. She said in 2019, after his arrest on sex trafficking charges, that she regretted having socialized with him and found his actions “indefensible.”

She’s got that right. We’ll see if anyone else mentioned decides to release a statement…

On Tuesday, the Charlie’s Angels actress stopped by Molly Sims and Emese Gormley’s Lipstick on the Rim podcast with her Avaline Wine business partner Katherine Power, and the women definitely related over one thing: the struggles of sharing space with their partners!

After discussing snoring and getting annoyed with your significant others, Cameron made a controversial contribution to the conversation:

“We should normalize, like, separate bedrooms.”

She continued:

“To me, I would literally, like, I have my house, you have yours, we have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room, you go sleep in your room. I’m fine.”

We think it’s safe to see she appreciates her undisturbed beauty sleep! Lolz! Of course, not all of us can afford a house big enough for all that… but yeah…

The Shrek voice actress didn’t forget about having a shared space to “convene in” for intimate moments, though… She added:

“And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for, you know, our relations.”

It was at that point the podcasters joked The Mask star’s take was going to make for a “bad headline,” to which Cam responded, “I’ve already said it!”

Ha!

However, she then clarified that was an outdated train of thought, as she’s now in a “wonderful” marriage with husband Benji Madden. She explained:

“By the way, I don’t feel that way now because my husband is so wonderful. I said that before I got married.”

Whether she really meant it or not, everyone needs their own space sometimes, and there definitely ain’t nothing wrong with that!

Cameron and Benji have been married since 2015 and welcomed daughter Raddix in 2020.

As you may know, the 51-year-old worked on the upcoming movie Back In Action this year. It was a big moment as this was her first film since she officially stepped away from acting in 2018. Cameron also hadn’t been in a movie since 2014. So everyone was excited for her comeback! But rumor had it her onset experience wasn’t so great — all thanks to her co-star and friend Jamie.

Reports claimed the 56-year-old actor had a “major meltdown” following “some issues on set.” He even allegedly fired an executive producer, an assistant director, a unit director, and his personal driver. Oof. Jamie wasn’t creating a good vibe on set if so! It got to the point where things became so bad that sources claimed Cameron most likely would NOT do another movie again following Back In Action.

Obviously this was so disappointing to hear! Cameron has delivered some incredible performances over the years. We’re all missing out!!

However, it turns out things aren’t what they seem — at least according to Cameron. On the Lipstick on the Rim with Molly Sims podcast Tuesday, she actually slammed the rumors about Jamie. The Holiday star said:

“I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’”

Cameron specifically called out the rumor that the Oscar winner was “making everything miserable” on set, allegedly leading her to “never make another movie again.” And she insisted that is not the truth at all. The Bad Teacher star insisted she had “a blast” making the film:

“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun. … Jamie is like the cheerleader for the entire crew and everybody loves him, and we have so much fun on the set with him. And he’s just a professional on every level.”

Cameron acknowledged there were “hiccups” on set. However, she insisted they were only “natural things that happen.” Or things out of their control, too! Jamie was hospitalized for several weeks following a medical emergency earlier this year, causing a delay toward the end of production. While Cameron said the situation “is not my place to speak about,” she did mention he is “thriving” right now. She added:

“When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk].’”

Hmm.

On Tuesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department‘s coroner’s division listed the late actor’s death as “accidental.” Later that same day, a representative confirmed to People that he died from an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Heartbreaking.

Addiction is something his family had alluded to in their statement following his death, but now it’s been confirmed.

Our hearts remain with Evan’s loved ones during what must be an incredibly difficult time. R.I.P.

Former child star Evan Ellingson has sadly passed away at just 35 years old.

On Monday morning, TMZ reported the My Sister’s Keeper actor was found dead in a Fontana, California residence just one day prior. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s coroners division, the late actor was discovered in his bedroom at 11:31 a.m. on Sunday. His cause of death is unknown at this time.

As of now, no foul play is suspected. Evan’s father told TMZ that he had struggled with drug addiction in the past and was residing at a sober-living home, but that he was more recently in a better place. Obviously his death has left the family in shock.

So sad.

Evan was best known for appearing as Cameron Diaz’s son in 2009’s My Sister’s Keeper. He also had a recurring role on CSI: Miami. It seems he left acting behind as an adult — according to his IMDB, he had not appeared on screen since 2010.

Our hearts are with Evan’s loved ones during this tragic time. Rest in peace.
