Kailyn Lowry is officially DONE having babies!
In January, the Teen Mom alum revealed she welcomed twins, a baby girl named Valley and a baby boy named Verse, with her boyfriend Elijah Scott. The couple are also parents to a 1-year-old son, Rio. And, of course, in addition Kailyn was already a mom to boys Isaac, 14, Lincoln, 10, Lux, 6, and Creed, 3. So it’s a full house for the pair!
Despite having seven children already, though, Kailyn admitted on her Barely Famous podcast last month she wanted more kids! The only problem is? She got her tubes tied to prevent any future pregnancies after giving birth to her two babies. Obviously, the MTV personality could explore other options, like adoption, if she wants to expand her family again. But Kailyn may have had a change of heart on the matter! Now, both she and Elijah seem pretty adamant that they’re not having any more kids. Her baby daddy even took the big step to make sure there were no surprises in the future — even if the two of them broke up one day!

On Instagram Stories, Kailyn announced to fans that Elijah got a vasectomy. She said while mimicking the cutting motion with her fingers:
“Today is a big day, Elijah has an appointment. If you know what I mean. I have a dentist’s appointment which I don’t love. I can’t believe he’s doing this, I can’t believe we’re doing this. We’re both done having kids. That’s crazy, don’t you think that’s crazy? It’s crazy, but good. We’re done, we feel finished.”
Hey, nothing wrong with that! Everyone has to make that decision for themselves at some point. As for how he’s doing post-op? Kailyn shared in a follow-up video Tuesday morning that Elijah “survived” the procedure. Ha! Good to hear! She also took a moment to clarify why he would get snipped at the age of 26, saying:
“I got a lot of DMs about why he would get a vasectomy. I just wanted to clarify a couple of things. I did see – one of my girlfriends messaged and was like ‘Isn’t he 22?’ And I was like, ‘No. He’s 26.’ He’s about to be 26. So the reason why is because he’s about to be 26 and has three children.”
Fair! Not to mention he’s a stepdad to her other four children, too! And we can imagine seven kids is a lot to juggle for the two of them! It would be for anyone! Totally understandable that they’re closing that chapter in their lives right now.
