Taylor Swift and beau Travis Kelce hosted an A-lister bash at her Rhode Island holiday house, which included a lot of famous faces. We got wind of Patrick and Brittany Mahomes being in attendance, along with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, as well as Trav’s big bro Jason and his wife Kylie, among others.

Trav had to take off in the early morning to get back to work. But the party kept going apparently! The weekend may have been over, but on Monday more guests showed up — like Channing and fiancé Zoë Kravitz, fresh off the premiere of their critically acclaimed movie Blink Twice.

Unfortunately, though, according to a report from In Touch Weekly, Channing’s weekend was filled with frustration. His partying was brought to an abrupt halt when he had to stop and sign some legal docs for his court battle with ex Jenna Dewan.

As Perezcious readers know, the divorce has gotten messier over the past few months, reportedly over Magic Mike money. But he can’t even go to a house party without having to work on it? Oof!

As for what these filings were about? According to the outlet, the papers were the 44-year-old firing back at his ex-wife’s attempt to disqualify his divorce lawyers.

Jenna apparently claimed he used the same firm during their marriage, so there’s a conflict, and these papers he signed over the weekend were his rebuttal. In the docs, the actor accused Jenna of attempting to disqualify his lawyers as a “transparent attempt to divert the court’s attention from her willful violation of her court order deposition and discovery deadlines, delay these proceedings and to prejudice [Channing] by ousting his lead trail counsel less than three months before trial on a case that has been pending for more than six years.”

He also said the firm he hired never once represented his ex:

“Neither law firm has ever had any possession of any of Petitioner’s confidential information. And, there is no applicable legal authority to support Petitioner’s claim that the attorney-client privilege extends to a spouse of a minority shareholder of a business entity.”

The 21 Jump Street star’s lawyer also jumped in and accused the professional dancer of just trying to delay the case from progressing:

“Contrary to [Jenna’s] claims, [Channing] has fully complied with his discovery obligations and thus, that is not and cannot be a basis to delay the Court-ordered depositions and discovery or other Court-ordered deadlines any further. [Jenna] has known about Glaser Weil’s co-representation of [Channing] in this action with Blank Rome since May 2024. Yet, she waited until the eve of [Jenna’s] deposition (two months later) to make the baseless allegations.”

Channing is asking that Jenna’s motion to try and get his lawyers sacked be denied, as well as sanction her $20k for her motion and to “deter such obstreperous conduct in the future”. Oof. Yeah, we can’t imagine all that was very much fun taking care of during a T-Swizzle house party. “Oh sorry can’t hit the pool right now, gotta look over divorce papers…”

Although the pair broke up in 2018, they still haven’t been able to finalize their divorce six years later. Why? They have been fighting over the finances of the Magic Mike franchise. Jenna demanded the money she says she’s owed as she not only introduced Channing to the choreographer he used for all three movies, but he used “marital funds” to acquire the intellectual property. However, the actor argued he worked to expand the franchise into a live show and reality series.

And there’s more. Jenna wants to hash out this matter in separate trials. But Channing? He’s not on board with a separate trial at all. He just asks for the legal issue to be done as soon as possible and feels his ex-wife is simply doing whatever she can to “delay” and “prolong” the process.

There are a lot of back-and-forth filings between the former couple, with Jenna even accusing Channing of “bullying and gaslighting” her throughout this ordeal. (So much for not hating each other, huh?) And it’s not over yet! Jenna’s attorneys once again pushed for a separate trial to figure out how much money she’s entitled to in the divorce when it comes to Magic Mike in a court filing on Wednesday. And she wants this done BEFORE they divide the rest of their assets in the larger divorce proceedings!

According to People, her legal team continued to argue she deserves half the profits from the franchise as the “story idea [i.e., Magic Mike] which is an intellectual property asset that was entirely created during the marriage.” And Channing’s done some shady moves with those funds in Jenna’s eyes too. She reiterated the 21 Jump Street star allegedly “transferred a portion” of their “community” profits from Magic Mike into another third-party entity several months after their separation “without Jenna’s knowledge or consent.” Channing already denied these allegations. His team insisted in a previous filing that The Lost City alum “never denied her share of any community assets or income” and the claims he “‘colluded with third parties’ are completely false.”

Jenna clearly doesn’t see it that way! Her team alleged Channing “is attempting to blur the lines between them in an effort to disguise the passive” second entity “as ‘production companies’ that generate value through his post-separation efforts to obtain an unequal split of a community property asset between the parties.” Oof. She wants her money and she wants it ASAP, Channing!

Ultimately, Jenna feels they need a separate “equitable” trial as what’s hers in the Magic Mike profits needs to be “tried, tackled and ruled upon before the remaining issues come to trial to prevent her from being painted into a corner….” The former backup dancer isn’t going down without a fight — whether Channing likes it or not!

The ongoing legal battle between the exes just took an accusatory turn. While the two may have split in 2018, their divorce still hasn’t been finalized six years later — largely because of a bitter feud over finances relating to the Magic Mike franchise. In short, the dispute is because Jenna wants separate trials to deal with that money she says she’s owed, but Channing just wants to be done with the legal dealings as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.

In court documents filed last Thursday and obtained by Entertainment Tonight, The Lost City star opposed Jenna’s request for separate trials, arguing:

“Our divorce has been pending for over five years. In that time, I have made exhaustive efforts to settle all issues in this matter without litigation. I have made countless settlement proposals, attended multiple mediations, my attorneys have prepared numerous drafts of a proposed judgment, and I have tried to resolve issues directly with Petitioner. While we have resolved some issues, the most significant financial issues in the case remain unresolved because Petitioner continues to delay resolution and provides one reason after another for why this case cannot settle.”

He continued by blasting Jenna for “another delay tactic”:

“I believe that Petitioner’s RFO is another delay tactic to prolong resolution of our financial settlement. I request the Court deny Petitioner’s RFO and set trial dates on all issues in this matter.”

He also argued Jenna potentially asking for spousal support would not be “appropriate” given their marriage lasted less than a decade, they’ve already been separated for over five years, and that Jenna has moved on with fiancé Steve Kazee:

“Petitioner works, is able to contribute to her own support, and will receive one-half of the community property residuals and royalties and income from other investments. Petitioner will also have substantial investment income from the cash assets she has received in our divorce. Petitioner has already received millions of dollars in cash assets pursuant to our various stipulations. She will receive additional cash assets when the remainder of our estate is divided, and post separation accounting is finalized. There are not, nor have there ever been, any orders for temporary spousal support. Petitioner never formally requested spousal support from me, and I am not currently paying her spousal support. I believe Petitioner is now requesting spousal support from me to further delay our financial settlement.”

The White House Down star also denied claims he transferred assets into a trust without her knowledge, and called the allegation he “colluded with third-parties” false. As for the Magic Mike IP, he argued Jenna “has not contributed any efforts to enhance the Magic Mike intellectual property,” while he has grown the franchise beyond movies.

That’s the legalese. Here’s the real heat. In response, a rep for Jenna didn’t mince words while firing back at Channing:

“Is Channing really calling Jenna a ‘liar’ for trying to get back an asset that he effectively stole from her in clear violation of California family law? These latest smears and falsehoods are really just more of the same bullying and gaslighting Jenna has been subjected to for years.”

“Bullying and gaslighting”?? Yikes! The rep went on:

“Regardless of whether Channing chooses to do the right thing, Jenna is confident that the law and the facts are on her side and she hopes this will soon come to a proper and honest conclusion.”

This is messy, y’all!

Jessie decided she was going to post a bikini photo three months after giving birth. She isn’t back to her weight from a year ago. And that’s OK! She wrote in a poignant caption:

“I’ll be honest I really didn’t wanna post any of these kittenish swim photos because i weigh 30 pounds more right now than I did last year this time. Yes I know I just had a baby three months ago but it’s easy to compare on here and wonder why my body likes to hold on to it more than others.”

She added, however, the lesson everyone needs to remember:

“The pressure we put on our self is not realistic.”

Hear, hear! The country singer continued:

“So this is a reminder to myself and to you. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. We are healing after growing a human being for nine months. “Both would like to get beyond these final issues. Each is in love with someone else and wants to move ahead.”

Despite breaking up a full six years ago now, the pair have not been able to get to the point where they can officially finalize their divorce. Why? As we previously reported, it all comes down to their nasty dispute over the profits from the Magic Mike franchise. And they’re prepared to take each other to court over the matter!

See, Jenna claimed in court filings submitted last week that she’s entitled to the money earned from the mega-popular franchise since they acquired the intellectual property together. She argued the whole business venture was “developed and co-financed by Channing during marriage with community effort and marital funds” — meaning what was his was hers! The 43-year-old actress claimed she essentially owned half of the multimillion dollar franchise — and her ex-husband of refusing “to accept an equal division of the Magic Mike intellectual property.” He also allegedly never told her about other Magic Mike business opportunities and “collected one hundred percent of the profits” after their separation in 2018.

Of course, it makes sense to Channing to keep all the money. He argues he was the one to work hard to expand the franchise after their split! He fired back in his own filing, saying he “has expended extensive efforts since separation towards the enhancement of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities.”

But Jenna won’t back down until she gets her cut. In fact, she’s apparently unwilling to tackle other massive unresolved issues in their divorce, such as division of property, reimbursement claims, support, breach of fiduciary duty, and lawyers fees, until they resolve the Magic Mike problem. And she wants it done right away in order to end this chapter in her life. A rep for the Witches of East End star told People on Monday:

“Jenna is just looking for a fair resolution of community assets of the marriage, under California State Law. Jenna wants to reach a final determination and close this chapter on her life as soon as possible.”

They added Channing and Jenna “have been trying to settle for over five years and have gone to many settlement conferences during that time.” Obviously nothing has worked, and they’ve never been able to reach an agreement! We guess there’s just always going to be that fundamental divide. Does she own half of what Magic Mike makes forever? Or just while they were married?? It’s clearly not something they can compromise on.

In her filing, you may recall how Jenna accused Channing of dragging things out. However, a source close to Channing is now blaming The Rookie star! The insider blasted her to the outlet on Monday, saying this conflict has “dragged on is because Jenna’s actions and claims continuously contradict themselves”:

“She says she wants a fair settlement but is ignoring all post-separation work Channing and his partners have done to enhance Magic Mike. She keeps stalling negotiations, but says she wants to resolve this.”

But another source insisted she’s not making a big deal out of the matter for nothing. This source told the outlet Jenna “clearly moved on” and would “like for all the doors to close and for her divorce to be finalized,” adding:

“She’s not dragging this on because she wants to or because she’s greedy.”

Hmm. If Channing and Jenna can’t agree, why should all of People‘s sources?? LOLz!

Currently, Jenna is engaged to Steve Kazee. They’re expecting their second child together. However, she apparently can’t fully move on with her life yet. How come? Even though Jenna and Channing were declared legally single in 2019, she wants her legal battle with her ex-partner “settled before she gets married again.” And the one thing Channing, who is engaged to Zoë Kravitz, can agree with? He wants this ordeal over with, too. The source close to Channing says he “just wants to move on and wants [Dewan] to move on with her new life as well.”

Despite Channing and Jenna both having moved on and getting engaged to other people, their divorce has not been officially finalized yet! Why? It’s all because of Magic Mike! Here’s the deal…

Jenna and Channing have been battling in court over a financial settlement — and that includes profits from his franchise. As we previously reported, Jenna actually helped out with the films. Specifically, she introduced her ex-husband to several choreographers, including her pal Alison Faulk, before filming. Alison ended up choreographing all three movies AND the Magic Mike Live shows. The franchise became more successful than anything else Channing did, grossing millions of dollars, having live shows worldwide, and getting a reality show called Finding Magic Mike. With this in mind, Jenna understandably wants to make sure she gets her fair cut of the Mike empire’s profits!

That’s caused a huge delay in finalizing their divorce since they can’t come to an agreement! Seems like Channing doesn’t want to give his ex such a big piece of his pie! OK, so now that you’re all caught up…

The legal battle is heating up this week as they want each other to testify in court! In documents obtained by People on Wednesday, Jenna submitted a “preliminary witness list,” which includes her and Channing. She wants the two of them to “testify regarding all issues related to the parties’ marriage including business and financial activities.” In the filing, the “key issues” they are fighting over include lawyer’s fees, division of property, reimbursement claims, support, and breach of fiduciary duty. However, none of those are her main concern at this time — she’s mainly focused on the Magic Mike money!

She notably brought up the issue over the intellectual property of the franchise, claiming in the documents the former couple actually acquired it together! Whoa! The Step Up actress said “characterization and division” of the Magic Mike IP needs to be figured out first since it “will impact the resolution of the other financial issues in this case.” Until they figure things out, she is unwilling to discuss the other matters. The reason they haven’t resolved the Magic Mike problem? Jenna fully blames Channing for the delay! She accused her former partner of refusing “to accept an equal division of the Magic Mike intellectual property.”

Well, it would be a huge financial loss to give up “an equal” part of the IP. That sounds a hell of a lot like HALF!

But that’s not all! The Rookie star further claimed Channing put all of the earnings into “an irrevocable trust” and transferred licensing rights to a third party without telling her! What makes this whole situation worse for Jenna? She alleges he never told her about other Magic Mike business opportunities and “collected one hundred percent of the profits” without her knowledge after their separation. In addition, he allegedly sold their interest in Saints and Sinners, LLC restaurant to a trust. To hide it from her??

Damn…

It sounds like Jenna believes her ex did her dirty when it comes to their business! But Channing shut down her allegations in his own filing! According to People, The Lost City actor claimed he “has expended extensive efforts since separation towards the enhancement of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities, which Respondent contends give rise to his separate property interest therein.” In other words, he’s been hustling since they broke up — and he doesn’t think she should get half of any of that!

The documents continued:

“The Court will need to allocate the community interest and Respondent’s separate property interest in the intellectual property and related entities in consideration of Respondent’s post-separation efforts.”

This divorce has become so, so messy! Oof. In addition to Jenna and Channing testifying in court, his business manager Eric Fulton, as well as several of his employees, have been included on her witness list to speak about any “business and financial activities” throughout their marriage and after their separation. She specifically wants Eric to be asked about the financial details of the Magic Mike franchise and its “intellectual property.”

Other names have been included on the list to talk about the movie’s “business, creative, and financial activities.” The spiciest one Channing included? Jenna’s fiancé, Steve Kazee! Yeah, he’s dragging her new partner into the nasty fight! Steve is expected to testify about “his and Petitioner’s cohabitation, joint expenses and all related matters.” Channing also lists his business partners and Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh as his own witness.

Furthermore, Jenna submitted an exhibit list for the trial featuring documents like joint income tax returns, as well as anything related to the Tatum Family Irrevocable Trust, and the Magic Mike enterprise. Meanwhile, Channing included a bunch of financial documents, real estate appraisals, work calendars, and more. Their bank and credit card statements and documents regarding Clovis Spirit’s LLC and Saints and Sinners, LLC are also on the exhibit list. So it appears these two are leaving no stone unturned!
