Donald Trump‘s pick for Vice President in this election cycle is in the news again on Wednesday morning for comments he made back in 2021. They were aimed at Randi Weingarten, the head of the national teacher’s union American Federation of Teachers. And in those old public comments, he slammed Randi for not having kids of her own — but wanting to control what other people did with their kids when it came to school and learning.

Vance’s 2021 words about Weingarten were delivered during a Center for Christian Virtue leadership forum moderated by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, and they were VICIOUS! He slammed Weingarten over the fact that she “doesn’t have a single child” but still works in policy aimed at kids, and added:

“You know, so many of the leaders of the left, and I hate to be so personal about this, but they’re people without kids, trying to brainwash the minds of our children. … If she wants to brainwash and destroy the mind of children, she should have some of her own and leave ours the hell alone.”

It’s giving “childless cat lady” vibes again! JD just can’t keep his yap shut on stuff like this, can he?! He is truly doing an amazing job at tanking Trump’s campaign! Not that we are complaining, of course… (Weingarten, by the way, is in a committed same-sex relationship and is a mother to her partner’s children. So, even though she doesn’t have biological children, she still raises kids!!!)

The remarks first resurfaced after the liberal news site Heartland Signal uncovered them on Tuesday. Quickly, Harris’ campaign accounts re-posted and amplified the video on social media. And immediately, people FLOODED the web with reactions! Over on X (Twitter), users blasted Vance for being relentlessly weird and off-putting with his comments about other people’s kids:

“Ah, a very systematic approach to candidate vetting. Bravo!”

“Its not just weird how he’s obsessed with other people having kids, it’s creepy”

“The hatred and animosity he has for childless people is wild. His wife most definitely has a handmaid outfit in her closet.”

In case you missed it, Mindy Kaling hosted part of the third night of the Democratic National Convention earlier this week, and she could not help but make a comment about the actor’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez while shouting out Massachusetts! She said at one point:

“I love you, Massachusetts! Everyone is always hating on us. But they just don’t get it. Go Sox! … Ben Affleck, hang in there! Dunkin’ Donuts, you’re the best coffee in the world.”

Many undoubtedly chuckled at her remark. But you know who didn’t? Ben! According to a Dailymail.com source on Friday, the 52-year-old filmmaker was very disappointed Mindy would bring up his breakup with J.Lo at a political event:

“Though it was in the moment, though it was said in jest, when Ben found out that he was brought up at the DNC by Mindy, it was a full-face palm moment. The last place he would have ever expected and wanted to be talked about, especially about his divorce, would be at a political convention.”

While Ben doesn’t plan to publicly bash the comedian, he does hope his peers will refrain from talking about his personal business moving forward:

“He isn’t going to call out Mindy, but this was just a moment where he would love for people to know, especially ones that are meant to be his peers in Hollywood, to just not talk about his personal life.”

Ben apparently cannot take a joke! Yeesh! However, we all know how much the Gone Girl star values his privacy! Heck, it is one of the main reasons we have heard so far about why Ben and Jennnifer called it quits again! He grew sick of compromising on the fame matter! Yet you would think a harmless joke like the one Mindy made wouldn’t have bothered him as much, right? All she said was to “hang in there.” If anything, it was a very kind comment — especially in comparison to what folks on the internet have said about the divorce! But Ben didn’t see it that way it seems. Instead, The Office alum just caused him more of “a headache” with her “frustrating” joke! The Dailymail.com source continued:

“This will go away, and people will forget about it, but it’s just the constant talk about his relationship with JLo that is a main reason it didn’t work out this second time around. Ben values his privacy and to deal with adversity in the public eye is a stress filled situation for him and when people bring it up who are in his community, so to speak, is just frustrating. Even though Mindy wasn’t looking to cause a headache for Ben, she did provide one.”

Despite his feelings over the matter, he doesn’t expect Mindy to apologize:

“He doesn’t want an apology, an excuse or anything, what was said is what was said, time to move on. He just wishes that he didn’t have to move on from anything at all. He just wants to be known for his work and being a great father, not from any mistakes or misfortune that happens in his life. Right after Donald Trump shared those creepy AI pics of the singer endorsing him, a close pal of Mz. Swift told the US Sun on Friday that she plans to shut that down once and for all — by endorsing his opponent!

If you remember, back in 2018 she made an extremely rare political statement in a local election — against the extremely anti-LGBT Marsha Blackburn, who was running for Senate in Tennessee. Soon after, in the 2020 election she endorsed Joe Biden during his campaign. It seemed largely to be against Donald Trump and his attempt to take away women’s rights more than a specific attachment to Biden.

In fact, the insider dished that she was “very happy” when Kamala took over his nomination earlier this year. The prospect of a female prez is “exciting” to the musician, so she’s planning on sharing a lot more support this time, the source claims:

“Taylor got enthusiastic when Kamala Harris got named VP in 2020, to see a woman getting at such a high political position and being the vice president of Joe Biden, it was massive, and she was happy about it. In a fiery speech, she managed to inspire the crowd while even managing to slide in a jab at Donald Trump‘s running mate JD Vance, who infamously has been attacking Kamala Harris by saying the country is run by “miserable” women and “childless cat ladies” during a 2021 interview. Oprah said:

“When a house is on fire, we don’t ask about the homeowner’s race or religion. We don’t wonder who their partner is or how they voted. No, we just try to do the best we can to save them. And if the place happens to belong to a childless cat lady — well, we try to get that cat out too.”

Kamala Harris’ presidential running mate brought the house down at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night — with a little help from his proud son! While officially accepting the democratic nomination for Vice President of the United States, the Minnesota governor delivered a powerful speech filled with heart. And he of course gave a beautiful shoutout to his family! While discussing his and wife Gwen’s struggle to get pregnant years ago, the 60-year-old emotionally looked at his family and said:

“Hope, Gus, and Gwen, you are my entire world and I love you.”

The camera cut to a shot of the mother and their kids, who were clearly moved by their father’s touching words. Tim’s 17-year-old son Gus, who is neurodivergent and someone who struggles with learning disabilities, couldn’t fight back tears while listening to his pops. He pointed at Tim from the crowd and proudly yelled, “That’s my dad!” as he happily clapped and shook his head in approval with tears rolling down his face. So sweet!

Yes, Donald Trump is so venal, so corrupt, so dangerous, that a ton of Republicans have decided to throw their support behind Kamala Harris! The host of Tuesday night’s events was Ana Navarro from The View, and one of the most striking speeches — in a night with both Obamas — came from a former Trump staffer.

Stephanie Grisham was Trump’s third press secretary and his communications director from July 2019 to April 2020. Then she was Melania Trump‘s chief of staff. She was a “true believer” who spent all her time with the Trumps, including on vacation. But she resigned immediately following the events of January 6. Since then she’s spoken out against Trump — but not like this.

In this speech, she unloaded, letting everyone know who they were really supporting when they voted for Trump! She told the packed Chicago convention center:

“I saw him when the cameras were off, behind closed doors. Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them basement dwellers.”

Damn! She really pushed the idea he’s a grifter who doesn’t really care about Americans — even the ones voting for him. He may be a cult leader, but he’s not the kind who believes what he’s preaching. He’s the kind who gets what he wants, and that’s all he cares about.

She told a story about how he went to a hospital during the COVID pandemic — and “was mad that the cameras were not watching him.” He didn’t really care, he just wanted to get credit. Gross. She added that he absolutely knows he’s lying about everything and just does not care:

“He has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth. He used to tell me, ‘It doesn’t matter what you say, Stephanie — say it enough and people will believe you.'”

Damn. There have been plenty of pundits who wonder if Trump is delusional, high on his own supply. But Grisham says that isn’t the case. He knows he’s peddling lies and just plans to keep doing it — anything to benefit himself.

She admitted even when she was on the Trump train, she still couldn’t go all in — if she could tell herself she was stretching or bending the truth, it wasn’t as bad. She said she never took questions from reporters as press secretary “because, unlike my boss, I never wanted to stand at that podium and lie.”

But when she saw a glimpse of the future Trump was leading America into on January 6, she had a moment of clarity. Trump would burn it all down, end the American experiment in democracy if it meant lining his pockets. She could no longer work for him. She said:

“Now here I am behind a podium advocating for a Democrat, and that’s because I love my country more than my party. Kamala Harris tells the truth. She respects the American people, and she has my vote.”

Damn. We need more Republicans to wake up and realize what they’ve pledged themselves to. Because Trump is not a real Christian, he’s not a real Republican, and he’s not a real public servant. He is a fraud, convicted of 34 counts.
