The show will follow Glen’s character, a college football quarterback who tanked his career and is then forced to go undercover at a struggling school to keep playing. The synopsis details:

This concept — and the football player’s shaggy look — might be familiar to you! That’s because it’s actually based on a 2022 Eli’s Places video starring former NFL star QB Eli Manning as Chad Powers. Look:

If you missed it, Australian breaker Raygun (real name Rachael Gunn) competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics last week — where she lost her three round-robin-style battles on Friday. But the moves did make her an international star, with many turning clips of her unconventional routine into memes.

From her outfit that made her look like a PE teacher to her kangaroo-inspired dancing, there was so much that caught the world’s attention. But it wasn’t always good attention, as most used the moment to mock her performance. Oof!

The comparisons between her dancing and the other b-girls has gone wild online. And now, Raygun is finally clapping back! In an interview with ESPN on Saturday, the 36-year-old competitor slammed the hate she’s been facing online, arguing:

“I was never going to beat these girls [Team USA’s b-girl Logistx, 21, France’s Syssy, 16, and Lithuania’s Nicka, 17] on what they do best — their power moves. What I bring is creativity.”

That said, she stands by her routine! She added:

“All of my moves are original. Creativity is really important to me. I go out there, and I show my artistry. Sometimes it speaks to the judges, and sometimes it doesn’t. I do my thing, and it represents art. That is what it is about.”

Well, her performance was creative, we’ll give her that!

Rachael, who was a jazz and ballroom dancer before she got into breaking in her 20s, is a professor at Macquarie University and studies “the cultural politics of breaking,” according to her bio. But she’s also won a ton of other competitions over the years that helped her quality for the Olympic Games, so it’s not like this was brand new to her. Too bad the judges (and pretty much all the viewers at home) just weren’t on her side this time!

Standing up for her, Australia’s chef de mission (AKA the person in charge of a national team) Anna Meares slammed the criticism the dancer has faced! The official called it sexist while pointing out how breaking is such a “male-dominated sport.” She dished:

“I love Rachael, and I think that what has occurred on social media with trolls and keyboard warriors, and taking those comments and giving them airtime, has been really disappointing. Raygun is an absolutely loved member of this Olympic team. She has represented the Olympic team, the Olympic spirit with great enthusiasm. And I absolutely love her courage. I love her character, and I feel very disappointed for her, that she has come under the attack that she has.”

Anna furthered:

“In 2008, she was locked in a room crying being involved in a male-dominated sport as the only woman, and it took great courage for her to continue on and fight for her opportunity to participate in a sport that she loved. That got her to winning the Olympic qualifying event to be here in Paris. She is the best breakdancer female that we have for Australia.”

Anyone who can make it to the Olympics is obviously talented at what they do! But when compared to the other athletes, yeah, it’s not hard to see why she became such a viral sensation! She certainly stood out!

But, of course, nobody deserves all this mockery, either. So, we hope she’s doing what she can to protect her mental health right now!! Thoughts?? Sound OFF (below)!

Last week, Team USA gymnastics star Jordan Chiles was awarded the third-place finish in the women’s floor exercise final at the Olympics, and thus, she picked up the bronze medal in that competition. But this past weekend, she was stripped of her medal by the sport’s judges and the International Olympic Committee. Only now, Team USA says not only that the decision to strip the medal was incorrect, but that they’ve got VIDEO EVIDENCE to prove it! Whoa!!

ICYMI, after the woman’s floor exercise final a week ago, Romania’s Ana Barbosu was initially announced as the bronze medal winner. But moments later, Team USA’s coach Cecile Landi filed an inquiry into the difficulty of one of Chiles’ moves. After review, the judges agreed with that inquiry. So, they bumped Chiles’ score from 13.666 to 13.766 — which was enough to land her the bronze medal. Great, right?!

Well, the ver next day, Team Romania filed their own inquiry into Team USA’s inquiry, claiming that Coach Landi’s initial request had been filed AFTER the 60-second deadline imposed on all floor exercise competitors via the so-called “FIG rule.” The Court Of Arbitration For Sport (CAS) reviewed Romania’s claim, agreed with them, and stripped Chiles of her medal, handing it instead back to Barbosu!

But now, the tables have turned AGAIN! This time around, Team USA says they have irrefutable, time-stamped video evidence that Coach Landi submitted the initial inquiry request within the 60-second window after the competition — TWICE!! In a post on X (Twitter) on Sunday, Team USA Gymnastics wrote:

“USA Gymnastics on Sunday formally submitted a letter and video evidence to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, conclusively establishing that Head Coach Cecile Landi’s request to file an inquiry was submitted 47 seconds after the publishing of the score, within the 1-minute deadline required by FIG rule.”

The statement about the inquiry timing issue then continued:

“The basis for the CAS ruling on Friday striking down the inquiry was that ‘The inquiry submitted on behalf of Ms. Jordan Chiles in the Final of the women’s floor exercise was raised after the conclusion of the one-minute deadline provided by article 8.5 of the 2024 FIG Technical Regulations and is determined to be without effect.’ The time-stamped, video evidence submitted by USA Gymnastics Sunday evening shows Landi first stated her request to file an inquiry at the inquiry table 47 seconds after the score is posted, followed by a second statement 55 seconds after the score was originally posted.”

Damn! If that video really is out there, and the inquiry requests were made at 47 seconds and 55 seconds, then Chiles TOTALLY deserves to have her medal reinstated! It sounds like Team USA seriously isn’t playing around with this one! Reactions, y’all?? Share ’em (below)!

If you caught the floor final at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Monday, you’ll know US gymnast Jordan Chiles snagged third place winning bronze in a neck-and-neck ruling. After initially placing fifth with a score of 13.666, the 23-year-old’s coach Cecile Landi challenged the score by addressing the athlete’s injury, arguing her difficulty score should have been higher. The judges overall agreed and added 0.1 to her score, which took it up to 13.766 — providing her an edge over Romanian gymnasts Ana Barbosu and Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, who both scored 13.700.

The moment made history as gold medalist Rebeca Andrade and silver medalist Simone Biles appeared alongside Jordan in the first all-Black Olympics gymnastics podium! But all that celebration has now been cut short…

A day after the event, the Romanian Olympic Committee contested the decision, and on Saturday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that notice of Jordan’s injury was submitted four seconds beyond the one-minute regulation. Oh s**t…

The ruling stated:

“The inquiry submitted on behalf of Ms Jordan Chiles in the Final of the women’s Floor exercise was raised after the conclusion of the one-minute deadline provided by article 8.5 of the 2024 FIG Technical Regulations and is determined to be without effect.”

That’s WILD.

Being so, the IOC announced on Sunday that Jordan’s bronze medal will be reallocated to Romanian gymnast Ana:

“Following the CAS decision with regard to the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Floor Exercise Final and the amendment of the ranking by the International Gymnastics Federation, the IOC will reallocate the bronze medal to Ana Barbosu (Romania). We are in touch with the NOC of Romania to discuss the reallocation ceremony and with USOPC regarding the return of the bronze medal.”

WOW! How devastating for Jordan… Amid all the rulings, the athlete took to Instagram Stories to share a series of broken heart emojis. She wrote:

“I am taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health, thank you.”

Simone Biles later shared her support by posting a picture of them together, writing alongside heart emojis:

“sending you so much love Jordan keep your chin up olympic champ! we love you!”

After the decision was made, the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee revealed they will be appealing the decision:

“We firmly believe that Jordan rightfully earned the bronze medal, and there were critical errors in both the initial scoring by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and the subsequent CAS appeal process that need to be addressed. The initial error occurred in the scoring by FIG, and the second error was during the CAS appeal process, where the USOPC was not given adequate time or notice to effectively challenge the decision. As a result, we were not properly represented or afforded the opportunity to present our case comprehensively. Given these circumstances, we are committed to pursuing an appeal to help Jordan Chiles receive the recognition she deserves. We remain dedicated to supporting her as an Olympic champion and will continue to work diligently to resolve this matter swiftly and fairly.”

Of course, Imane is “very happy” about her accomplishment. According to CNN, she said after the fight:

“For eight years, this has been my dream and I’m now the Olympic champion and gold medallist, I’ve worked for eight years, no sleep, eight years tired. Now I’m Olympic champion. I want to thank all the people who have come to support me. All the people from Algeria and all the people at my base. I want to thank all the team, my coach. Thank you so much.”

Amazing!!! What makes her big win even sweeter? It’s the ultimate eff you to all the bullies out there! As you know, Imane has been fighting it out in and out of the ring as she faced intense online bullying from people like Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling. During a preliminary match, Imane was up against Italian boxer Angela Carini. However, Angela abandoned their bout just 46 seconds in. She claimed she was punched so hard she didn’t want to continue the fight, even going as far as to say she felt more “pain” than when she trained with men.

Well, the match sparked a ton of online abuse toward Imane, all because of those comments. Many transphobic people attacked her for being transgender — when she’s not! She is a woman. She was born female. She is not intersex. See, Imane was disqualified from the boxing world championships last year after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test from the International Boxing Association. Mind you, they refused to release the results of their test. This also came after Imane competed FOR YEARS without any issues. And this test doesn’t mean she is a trans woman. She reportedly just had high levels of testosterone and XY chromosomes.

But because she looks masculine, anti-trans folks cruelly bullied her on social media. Well, look who is getting the last laugh now. Imane ignored the awful chatter and came out on top! Oh, and a message for all the haters on the internet! She said after her victory:

“As for whether I qualify or not, or whether I am a woman or not, I have made many statements in the media. I am fully qualified to take part in this competition. I’m a woman like any other woman. I was born a woman, I lived a woman, I competed as a woman, there’s no doubt about that. There are enemies of success, that is what I call them. And that also gives my success a special taste because of these attacks.”
