In Friday’s episode of the late actress’ podcast Let’s Be Clear, Rose reflected on the pair’s friendship, her biggest regrets, and the last time she saw Shannen before she died from cancer. As Perezcious readers know, the pair had a complicated relationship after Rose replaced Shannen on Charmed, showing up to play the Halliwells’ half-sister, Paige Matthews, beginning in 2001. Of course, that was the same year Shannen (AKA Prue Halliwell) was fired amid a rift with co-star Alyssa Milano.

In the podcast episode, Rose noted that at the time she “joined Charmed [she] did not understand the backstory” and was “just trying to keep [her] head above water.” She explained “they made it sound like she was difficult,” elaborating elsewhere:

“I was just told she was fired and nobody talked about her. […] I was very famous at that point, but I was persona non grata, non-hirable. I caused disruptions everywhere I went. This is something that Shannen [and I] later talked about that she related to: the weight of what it’s like to have the media machine lie about you.”

Despite pressure, Rose refused to lean into the “war” everyone wanted her to start with Shannen:

“From the get go, every question was like, ‘Do you think Shannen Doherty hates you?’ ‘Do you think she’s jealous of you?’ ‘What do you think?’ And I refused to take the bait. They wanted me to start a war with her, and I was like, absolutely not. And to her credit, she absolutely did not do that either.”

Because of their history, many assumed they were in a bad place at the time of Shannen’s death. But it was actually quite the opposite! McGowan shared that they had been on good terms for a while — except the whole thing played out in private. This is one of Rose’s big regrets right now, as she candidly shared:

“I do regret not doing the podcast with her, but at the same time, I think because so much of our relationship had played out publicly, that to have that period of time just for us was really special.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum died at age 53 in July after a years-long cancer battle. Now, Rose regrets that she didn’t have more time with Shannen, too. She added:

“I wish I could have gotten to know her sooner. I don’t know how that would have happened, but I wish we could have. We both despised corporate feminism, as I call it, like slogans, and fake activists, and people that are just doing it for the clicks and the glory, but without actually putting in the work and the trauma that it takes to do that work.”

The Jawbreaker star acknowledged that she and Shannen were very similar, including in the way they both preferred directing to acting. Rose recalled:

“She really lived so many lives in one life, and that I certainly relate to. I know a lot of us can, but she lived life on a grand scale with gusto and just badass fun. One of the things we learned, I think, from each other by being outspoken was actually how much more similar we were than different.”

As for their last interaction, Rose recalled:

“About a month before she died, we got to be together just alone, just me and her, for the first time ever, and for the first time in 25 years. It was so cool, and we just actually didn’t want the night to end. And it was both wholesome and — that word is so dorky, but here we are. It was sweet.”

Aw! The precious alone time they shared was the perfect opportunity for them to heal old wounds and grow closer, she noted:

“She told me stuff that I’d never known, and I told her stuff that she didn’t know. And she had some questions for me, and I answered them and vice versa.”

This get-together was also the first time the Scream alum, 50, learned Shannen was preparing to try a new “experimental treatment” for her health condition prior to passing. She reflected:

“I had a feeling when she said about the treatment, I just had this feeling that this was not really going to go well, and she looked frightened for the first time. She was frightened. And I gave her a big hug, and I told her I loved her.”

Their time together may have been cut short, but at least Rose was able to tell Shannen just how she felt while she still could! That in and of itself is a bittersweet gift. So glad they were on good terms and shared such special moments before this tragic death, even despite the regrets that Rose has now in how things played out around them.

Of course, the monarch is in the midst of a fight against cancer right now, and has been undergoing treatments to battle the disease for months. Well, this week, the 75-year-old gave a bit more insight into that fight, and how it’s been going. And he only needed four words to do it!

The occasion in question was an event held for those affected by the Southport mass stabbing, which occurred at a Taylor Swift-themed event in that city on July 29. The tragedy left three young children dead, and several other people injured. On Wednesday, King Charles met with the families of those who were lost, as well as surviving victims of the tragedy. The entire event was emotionally charged, as you’d expect. But along the way, he also gave some insight into the upheavals in his personal life, too.

According to Express, one of the attendees at the somber event briefly changed the subject to politely ask Prince William‘s father how he was coming along with his cancer fight. And King Charles offered up some good news! In a very low-key way, at least. Needing just four words to answer the query, he said:

“I’m not too bad.”

We love to hear that! Per that same outlet, he appeared to be in fine fettle while interacting with those at the memorial. Obviously, it was not a happy event with lots of smiles and laughs, so he wasn’t carefree or heartening in that way. But it’s great to hear that Charles is currently upbeat about his battle nonetheless!

The post King Charles Reveals Rare Update On Cancer Battle During Visit With Victims Of Mass Stabbing At Taylor Swift Event appeared first on Perez Hilton.

The 34-year-old content creator died on Sunday, August 18, after a fight with dengue fever, a mosquito-borne illness common in tropical and subtropical regions. Per the Mayo Clinic, it causes flu-like symptoms such as headaches, vomiting, and swollen glands. Sadly, Jainer’s condition escalated quickly and very severely.

According to local outlet Peru21, the social media star first contracted the disease on July 21 while in Condorcanqui Province, Peru. Healthcare network Red Prestacional Lambayeque del Seguro Social de Salud – EsSalud confirmed the death in a press release, telling the outlet:

“The management of the Red Prestacional Lambayeque de EsSalud extends their sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones.”

Per Peru21, Jainer’s condition got worse when he developed pneumonia, leading to his hospitalization in Bagua. Fluid was soon discovered in his lungs, and he was sent to a large facility in Chiclayo. On August 14, he was placed on mechanical ventilation before suffering respiratory arrest caused by fluid re-accumulating in his lungs.

Per the Department of Health Deputy Minister, Ricardo Peña, while in the ICU, testing determined the dancer had a form of cancer known as Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Sadly, that likely made everything worse. Peña said:

“It is most likely that this underlying disease is linked, precisely, to this outcome.”

Wow. Just awful. Janier’s mother Betty Vargas García paid tribute to her son, writing on Facebook:

“Rest in peace, beloved son. We will miss you.”

Just two weeks before his death, in what is now his final Instagram post, Janier posted a video of himself dancing in the hospital (in which his diaper falls off). He said he only had “20% energy” at the time, but was remaining positive, writing:

“I’ve wanted to do this trend for a long time. Now with 20% energy I can do it. Obviously my ‘calvin kleins’ fell off. … Sick people who don’t dance don’t die!! We are only with 20% of energy”

He first grew famous in 2021 while making up choreography for a dance to the song No Se by Explosion de Iquitos. And now, his death is so untimely — and so sad. May he rest in peace.

Henry is the late son of star Rob Delaney, who memorably plays adorably normal guy Peter in the franchise. Henry died of a brain tumor at just 2 years old. It was a devastating loss.

And Ryan is opening up about why it was so important to include the dedication that, for once, was completely somber and not at all a joke.

In an Instagram post dedicated to Rob on Tuesday, the 47-year-old gushed about his “funny,” “beautiful,” “acerbic,” and “vulnerable” friend who suffered a loss like no other six years ago. Ryan wrote:

“If you stayed through the credits of Deadpool & Wolverine, you might notice a credit saying, “For Henry Delaney”. Henry is Rob’s son. And Rob lost his little boy to a brain tumor in 2018. Right as we finished Deadpool 2.”

He continued:

“I’ve always kicked my own ass because I didn’t place a tribute to Henry over the end credits of DP2. If there’s a bright side, even more people are seeing Henry’s name in the credits of Deadpool & Wolverine. And at long last, father and son are sharing the same screen.”

Speaking to Times Radio via Express on Sunday, author Andrew Morton insisted that the brothers’ relationship remains incredibly strained and likely won’t change now that Harry and Meghan Markle have mapped out a new plan for their careers! Morton suggested:

“I think that Harry and Meghan have worked out a life together. They have their own agenda and they have their own causes. And I don’t see any movement whatsoever towards a reconciliation.”

Oof…

With talk of the Suits alum working on her own tell-all memoir, too, it’s clear that the two royal couples are headed in very different directions! It’s not just their own “agendas” that suggest a reconciliation may never come, though. The Diana: Her True Story writer continued:

“I would say that they’ve got an established pattern in their lives. And if any year could have brought about a reconciliation with the King suffering from cancer, and we all know about [Princess Catherine] and her medical problems, this would be the year to have done it. But there’s obviously been no movement in that regard.”

He has a point. Cancer and other serious heath battles typically bring an estranged family back together, but these issues appear to have only made the feud more noticeable! Because of this, author Michael Cole also believes there’s “no chance” that the siblings will mend fences anytime soon. Yikes! He told GB News last week:

“I don’t think there’s any chance at all of there a reconciliation with the brothers now or in the foreseeable future.”

Jeez. That stinks. Michael went on to blame the rift on Harry and Meghan’s public bashings of the royal family, adding:

“It goes back to the Oprah Winfrey interview then the book Spare and all the things that were said in the Netflix six-part series, too much bad blood and William is not going to forgive.”

This comes after sources claimed the brothers haven’t spoken since 2022 when they attended their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral. That said, other sources have hope they’ll one day be able to resolve things, especially if Harry is able to mend things with King Charles III — who reportedly misses his young son despite their ongoing feud, as well.

Meanwhile, cousins Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall are said to be encouraging Willy to make amends with Harry. Former royal butler Grant Harrold told the New York Post earlier this month that Beatrice “could act as a peacemaker for Harry, William and Charles.” He noted:

“She would be someone to initiate peace in the family. She’s close to both William and Harry, as well as the king — and they trust her. It would be her out of anyone else — but she wouldn’t want to be too involved.”

He added:

“I have no doubt she would have spoken to the two brothers at some point to try to improve the situation.”

A much more positive outlook than the other sources! But don’t get excited quite yet. Just because family members want them to resolve things, it doesn’t mean the men are ready to forgive and forget! Grant expressed:

“You’d like to think this time would bring William and Harry closer, but we don’t really know what’s going on behind closed doors. […] They may well be discussing things and communicating, but it’s very difficult. I have no doubt there will be some kind of communication between the brothers, and between Harry and his father. […] Of course, a lot has happened, and a lot has to be resolved and sorted out. This may well be on track, but it may not have even been addressed yet.”

So far, it doesn’t seem like anyone’s willing to communicate with Harry about any topic — even despite his loved ones’ health issues! So, it really does seem like this feud is going to go on for a LONG time!

On Monday’s episode of the Boy Meets World rewatch podcast Pod Meets World, the series alum revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. But luckily, she caught it in the early stages:

“I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, which is a form of breast cancer. It is very, very, very early. It’s technically stage zero. To be specific, just because I like too much information all the time, I was diagnosed with high-grade DCIS with micro-invasion.”

Thank goodness she caught it so early!

The 43-year-old noted that in addition to her husband Jensen Karp, her parents, and her brother, her co-hosts and fellow Boy Meets World alums Rider Strong and Will Friedle were “two of the first people I told the news to.” But she’s keeping a positive mindset:

“I’m going to be fine. I’m having surgery to remove it. I’m going to be on some follow-up treatment. I’ve had to make a lot of decisions over the last couple of days.”

We bet it’s been a whirlwind few days for her, but we applaud her for acting so quickly to stay on top of it! And the TV star urged listeners to do the same:

“The only reason I caught this cancer when it is still stage zero is because the day I got my text message that my yearly mammogram had come up, I made the appointment. They found it so, so, so early that I’m going to be fine. I hope it will encourage anyone to get in there. If you have to find out you have cancer, find out at stage zero if possible.”

Get your mammograms, ladies! They are life saving! Looking at the near future, Danielle told listeners there may be some changes to the podcast amid her treatment:

“I have some big decisions ahead of me about what I want to do for treatment. I don’t have all the answers yet … [But I] did want to let our dear listeners know. We’re going to try and have it not affect things, but [there are] possibilities we may have to put things on hold depending on what treatments I go through.”

Whatever she needs to do to get healthy! Rider called the news “mind boggling,” adding, “Right now, my wife and I know four people — four friends — who are dealing with breast cancer.”

It’s scary how common it is… That’s why mammograms are so important! Will added:

“For men, too, prostate exams and colonoscopies … don’t put them off.”

Seriously! Health is wealth! Speaking directly to Danielle, he added:

“We’re so glad you didn’t [put it off] because you are going to be fine. You might have some sucky days, but we’re here for you.”

Beloved creator Luke Goodwin has sadly passed away at just 35 years old after a battle with a rare form of cancer. The UK native began documenting his health journey last year on his channel I Will Not Be Defeated, where he revealed he was given 12 months to live after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma in August of 2022. But to his oncologists’ surprise, he defied the odds and survived beyond their life expectancy amid multiple rounds of chemotherapy. In October of last year, he was told he had just a few more months to live, and he once again defied the odds. But nearly one year later, he has sadly passed.

His wife Beckey first shared the news on her Instagram, revealing in a subsequent video that he passed in his home surrounded by family on August 2. She said, according to the Mirror:

“He passed away peacefully, he was at home, he had me and his mum and his dad all by his side. Luke is at peace now, he’s not in any pain. All of his followers, you have all been absolutely amazing, you all kept his head strong.”

She spoke about he she revealed the news to their two children, adding:

“He was an amazing person, he showed me how to be strong even when you are going through the toughest times, he was just amazing, an amazing dad, son and husband.”

So, so sad.

Eerily enough, the late YouTuber shared what turned out to be his final message to fans on July 17. In a video titled End of life. feel like death is on me.., he told followers he’d been feeling under the weather for nearly two weeks. While sitting in his car, he said:

“It might only be a short video but it’s to keep everyone informed. I had someone the other day comment on one of my other videos asking if I was still alive. I’m still alive mate, I’m still alive and kicking, just.”

He added of his worsening condition:

“What can you do about it? You’ve just got to plod along.”

The late father of two spoke about his fortified mental health and how “when that’s the only way you’ve got to manage to carry on, it just comes naturally.” What a strong dude. Watch his final video (below):

After his death, his mom Lisa spoke to Grimsby Live, remembering him fondly:

“We were in despair because we just didn’t know what to do. It had an effect on Luke’s well being mentally – he had a wife, children, parents, family and friends – and initially he was all over the place until he decided one day, ‘I will not be defeated’. He said that at the time, and from that day on he put his mind to it and fought. He’s our warrior and our hero.”

Our hearts are with all of his loved ones. Rest in peace, Luke.

Per Dress Like a Duchess, Willian gave his then-girlfriend a pearl and garnet rose gold promise ring at some point while they were dating in the early 2000s. The pearl symbolizes William’s June birthday while the garnet represents Kate’s January birthday. The ring reportedly signified “commitment and fidelity as well as a pledge for lifelong love and loyalty.” Cute!

According to the outlet, Kate wore the ring at her 2005 graduation from St. Andrews and often “wore the ring on her middle finger during her youth” (while during this sighting it was on her left ring finger). Despite being such a meaningful piece of bling, she very sparingly wears it in public these days. That said, she has rocked it even after becoming a working royal and being gifted Princess Diana‘s sapphire and diamond engagement ring. For instance, she was seen with this promise ring during a visit to Hope House and Great Tower Scout Camp in 2013.

Certainly looks similar! Though some fans think this latest bling might actually be a new eternity band, possibly gifted to her for the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary back in April. Either way, it’s noteworthy to see her wearing the ring now! Especially when she knows this video was going to be analyzed by so many concerned fans! Maybe she was trying to send a subtle message??

Kate and William have been through so much over the last year. From the resurfacing of cheating allegations, to rumors of marriage trouble amid Kate’s apparent disappearance, to Kate’s cancer battle, it’s been a BIG challenge. Stuff like this is bound to test even the strongest of marriages, and yet it’s only seemed to pull this pair even closer together. Now, to see her sporting this bling — a ring that is all about their “lifelong love and loyalty” — says a lot! No matter how tough things get, they’re sticking by each other! Sweet!

Rachael Lillis, one of the big stars of early seasons of the megahit anime, has passed away after a lengthy cancer battle.

On a GoFundMe originally organized to support her recovery, her sister Laurie Orr broke the news, sadly writing:

“Hello everyone, With a heavy heart, I regret to say that Rachael has passed away. She passed peacefully Saturday night, without pain, and for that we are grateful. She is with God, the angels, and family that has passed before her, surrounded by infinite Love.”

She went on to reveal that Rachael’s passing was very sudden, and asked for privacy at this time:

“Unfortunately, regrettably, I was not with her, it was just this past week that she was starting to decline. This was unexpected and we are completely grief-stricken. We ask for peace, for now, as her family grieves this loss.”

The voice actress was only 46 years old. Heartbreaking.

Rachael was most known for her work in the early seasons of the animation, where she voiced beloved characters like Misty, Team Rocket’s Jessie, and Jigglypuff — a voice she reprised in the Super Smash Bros video games. She also was known to have voiced Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu for a few episodes. Rachael also had roles in many more animes, including Your Lie in April, Hunter x Hunter, and more. Taking to Instagram Stories on Friday, the 35-year-old reality star accused him of lying about plans to donate the money he asked from fans on Cameo to cancer research! Whoa! She posted a video of Jax on her account, in which he said:

“I’m now on Cameo, so hit me up. I’d love to help you guys out. Also, you’re helping me out because I’ll be donating my money to cancer research. Actually, esophageal cancer, because obviously that is near and dear to my heart, so hit me up. I’d love to shoot you a message.”

As you may recall, the Vanderpump Rules alum’s father, Ronald Cauchi, sadly died in December 2017 after losing his battle with esophageal cancer. It’s amazing Jax wants to generously donate the money earned from the platform to cancer research – if that was his real intention. Because, according to Brittany, it isn’t! She wrote over the clip of her ex:

“Just realized Jax has this on his cameo and it’s disgusting because he hasn’t donated a dime. FYI @cameo.”

Did the momma really just accuse Jax of trying to scam people? If this is true, add it to the looong list of icky things Jax Taylor has done. The shocking post didn’t stay up for too long. According to Page Six, she deleted it minutes later. However, Brittany gave just enough time for folks to get screenshots of her message – and even their The Valley co-star Kristen Doute’s re-post! Damn! This is how you know Brittany is so O-V-E-R Jax! She’s no longer putting up with or trying to hide any of his BS! But here’s the thing. A source told Page Six on Saturday that the Cameo video was made “three years ago,” and it has been “shown on TV and social media” that Jax has “attended multiple charities, donating not only his money but his time.” Hmm. Yet, even if the clip is old, this doesn’t answer if the 45-year-old television personality donated his Cameo earnings as he promised. As we mentioned, Brittany claimed he didn’t.
