The controversial actor’s latest blockbuster Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth installment in the action franchise, hit theaters over the weekend — and Will had to see for himself what fans thought of it!

In a viral TikTok posted on Saturday, moviegoers at a Cinemark theater can be seen exiting a screening of the action flick, which also stars Martin Lawrence, as a tall man in a dark tracksuit and baseball cap steps out alongside them. He tells fans:

“Hey, I’m glad y’all enjoyed that.”

And that man just so happened to be the star of the movie!

Starstruck fans immediately began screaming with joy as the Oscar winner shook hands, gave hugs, and posed for pictures. The video was uploaded to @norbertoncn’s account, who describes himself as a “Cinemark General Manager” in his bio. He wrote in a text box over the footage:

“Surprise, when you walk out of Bad Boys Movie and Will Smith walks out with you after having watched the movie with you!! Only at CINEMARK!”

If you tuned into the Academy Awards last month, you might remember one of host Jimmy Kimmel’s more oddly controversial jokes, which took aim at Emma’s movie Poor Things. After a brief clip of the film was shown, the late night host joked:

“Those were all the parts of Poor Things we’re allowed to show on TV.”

The quip is in reference to the fact the acclaimed movie is nearly non-stop sexually explicit for a great deal of its runtime.

The camera then cut to Emma, who fans thought looked like she was in the middle of muttering to her husband Dave McCary, “He’s a prick.” See (below):

During a conversation with The Curse co-star Nathan Fielder for The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, Emma stated:

“No! I didn’t call him a prick.”

Stumbling over the the idea of being angry with Jimmy for his joke after Nathan brought the situation up, she added:

“What did I say? I didn’t call him a prick. I wasn’t upset with him at all. I’ll have to look that up.”

The two-time Oscar winner playfully noted she’s always good for a joke:

“I’m near-unoffendable.”

On Sunday, the Central Intelligence star sat down for a 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper. He got candid about a lot of things but most importantly opened up about the moment it finally clicked for him that homophobia isn’t cool… Yeah, it sounds wrong even having to say that, but hey, at least he’s growing. He told the journalist:

“The understanding came from the best light bulb ever. Wanda Sykes said, ‘There’s people that are being hurt today because of comments like the ones that you made then, and there’s people that will think it’s okay to make those comments today based off of what you did then.’”

Seems simple enough. Like he really should have realized that, but OK!

And we’re sure it resonated even more hearing it from a fellow successful Black comedian… Who also happens to be a gay woman! He added:

“It was presented to me in a way where I couldn’t ignore that. In those moments of despair, great understanding, and education can come out of it if you’re given the opportunity”

Kevin actually got canceled back in 2018 — at least temporarily — after he was announced as the host of the Oscars and fans subsequently dug up horrendously homophobic posts on X (Twitter). You can read all about that HERE.

In a stand-up comedy clip which was featured in the 60 Minutes interview, Kevin also talked about wanting to “prevent” his son from becoming gay:

“I’m not homophobic. I have nothing against gay people. Be happy. Do what you want to do. But me, as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.”

Ultimately his refusal to really apologize cost him the hosting gig, something he said at the time he’d always dreamed of doing. It hurt him a lot, we could tell. But not enough for him to change his tune at that time, or at least not to anyone’s satisfaction.

Will everyone accept this new explanation of his enlightenment? Or will this also be seen as nothing but calculation on his part? After all, he has a new movie coming out soon, the interview is with a gay man, the more cynical folks among us miiiiiight squint a bit at this description of epiphany. But we’d rather give folks the benefit of the doubt when they are on the right side of things — even if it’s late.

As we’ve been following, Olivia was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and decided to undergo a life-saving double mastectomy to remove the disease. Months later, when her body had a chance to heal, she underwent reconstructive breast surgery — but it sounds like things just aren’t quite the same as they used to be. And before she told the world about her diagnosis, that proved to be quite the challenge to conceal.

On Sunday, the X-Men: Apocalypse actress opened up about the reality of her changed appearance after undergoing a double mastectomy — “dents, “divots,” and all. She told the outlet:

“I have some divots and dents on one side of my body near where the lymph nodes were, and they had to really dig out. And I’ve been wearing some dresses on the red carpet that made me a little stressed out at times.”

Last month, Olivia and her boyfriend John Mulaney walked the Oscars red carpet together before she revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world. She stunned in a bronze-colored Fendi gown before switching into a white dress for the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty — and while they may have been beautiful, it sounds like they was a difficult pieces to wear post-op:

“We’re trying to really cheat where the dents are and how to make it really smooth and cover up everything, so that I could wear it.”

She shared that her makeup artist Diane Buzzetta “learned how to do tattoo-type makeup,” which helped:

“It’s not something I can do by myself, but knowing that there’s that option for when I’m in front of the camera has made me feel a lot better about things. And then personally, the people in my life who see it don’t see them as imperfections. So, that’s a good feeling, too.”

Absolutely stunning!

The 43-year-old also revealed that she grew out her hair with the intention of using it to help cover some of her scars:

“Sometimes I look in the mirror and I think, ‘Oh, my hair is so long now and it’s because of this.’ And sometimes it makes me a little sad that I still want to hide certain aspects. But then I remind myself that those are battle wounds and I can show them what I want and I can hide them when I want.”

She added:

“I don’t beat myself up for anything I’m feeling on any given day, I just let myself feel it. There’s a really nice peace that comes with that.”

That sounds like the best thing she could do in the wake of such a traumatic health journey. But ultimately, she’s happy with her changed appearance as opposed to the alternative:

“It’s different once you actually do the reconstruction and it’s much better, but it’s not the same. And that’s okay because I’m here, and I’m extremely happy that I had the option to have a double mastectomy. I’m extremely happy that I got the opportunity to fight. I was given that chance, and I know a lot of people in my situation don’t have that opportunity and don’t have that as an option.”

She’s so strong! Our hearts continue to be with her.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, the 43-year-old actor opened up about his show-stopping performance of the nominated track at the Oscars last month. Jimmy Fallon mentioned that Ryan’s 9-year-old daughter Esmeralda and 7-year-old daughter Amada came to the rehearsal, something Eva Mendes previously confirmed. The host had to ask:

“When they come see you do ‘I’m Just Ken,’ do they go, ‘Oh, yeah, Daddy’s fun. He’s awesome?’”

Eh, not exactly! Ryan joked they say, “Dad’s Kenning again.” Ha! And they have seen him in “Kenning” a lot! The girls would go to the set of Barbie to see their dad in action, especially when he filmed the epic number. The Notebook star explained:

“It was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all of this. It’s really been a team effort. And they were on the film and they came to set when I filmed the number. A lot of this has no context for them, you know? It’s just like a lot of fake tan stains around the house.”

Ha! The downside of movie stardom!

In order to give them some “context,” Ryan had Esmeralda and Amada attend the Oscars dress rehearsal for I’m Just Ken. But by that point, the pair could outperform their dad! They apparently knew all of the choreo to the song — even better than Ryan! He said:

“So I wanted them to come to the dress rehearsal just to give it some kind of context for what had been going on. They knew all the choreography better than I do, the songs. They’re backstage showing me.”

On Tuesday, Variety reported that the highly talked about couple are closing down their charity the Will And Jada Smith Family Foundation after seeing a decline in donations from some major players. According to tax docs obtained by ProPublica and reviewed by the outlet, the charity had been on a path of growth in the last few years — until one unforgettable moment shocked the world.

In 2020, the foundation’s revenue was reported at $1,760,000, while in 2021 it grew to $2,138,660. But after the Bad Boys star infamously slapped Chris Rock on live TV at the Oscars the following year, support TANKED! According to the docs, the foundation pulled in just $365,870 in revenue in 2022 — an 83 percent drop from the previous year!

DAMN.

A source close to the situation told Variety that the couple had been looking into shutting down their foundation, which they founded in 1996, prior to Will’s public temper tantrum. If so, they’d still be donating to charitable organizations privately. So, maybe the steep drop in support was just the final nail in the coffin?

According to the outlet, American Airlines and CAA both withdrew from donating in 2022 after being huge contributors the year prior, donating $76,160 and $100,000 respectively.

Yikes…

The source cited a decline in staffing over the past few years — prior to the slap — as evidence the two had already been moving to close down their foundation. But still, DAMN. Other red flags spotted in the tax docs were expenditures on office supplies and even $3,304 in “bank overdrawn” fees in 2022! So the money really speaks for itself!

Ian Alexander Jr. died by suicide in January 2022 — shortly after celebrating his 26th birthday. It has been, without a doubt, an incredibly difficult few years for teh award-winning actress. And after taking some time away from the spotlight to mourn, Regina is finally ready to talk about what happened. She did her first sit-down interview on Good Morning America Thursday to reflect on her journey with grief over these past two years. And she did not hold back.

Regina shared that even though she struggles with the pain of losing Ian, she wants to always honor her son:

“I’m a different person now than I was then on January 19. Grief is a journey, you know? I understand that grief is love that has no place to go, and that we all handle it differently. I know that it’s important for me to honor Ian and the totality of who he is, speak about him in the present, because he’s always with me, and the joy and happiness that he gave all of us.”

Amid the “joy and happiness,” Ian also struggled with his mental health. Tearfully, Regina went on to say she has to “respect and understand” this was “Ian’s choice” at the end of the day:

“When it comes to depression, people expect it to look a certain way and they expect it to look heavy. To have to experience this and not be able to have the time to just sit with Ian’s choice, which I respect and understand, that he didn’t want to be here anymore — that’s a hard thing for people to receive because they did not live our experience. They did not live Ian’s journey.”

But at the same time, the A Cinderella Story star admitted she was “so angry with God” for giving “that weight” of depression to Ian:

“All of the things that we had gone through, the therapy, psychiatrists and programs and he just, Ian was like, ‘I’m tired of talking, Mom.’”

Heartbreaking. She continued:

“My favorite thing about myself is being Ian’s mom and I can’t say that with a smile, with tears, with all of the emotions that come with that, I can’t do that if I did not respect the journey.”

Over the years, Regina would bring Ian to red carpet events, a tradition she continued in her own way while attending the 2024 Oscars on Sunday. She stepped out in an orange — her son’s favorite color — to pay tribute to him. See (below):

What a beautiful way to honor Ian. Understandably, it’s still hard for Regina to go to events he used to be at with her. When asked if these moments “trigger” her, she replied:

“Oh, it’s a trigger, absolutely. Sometimes it’ll trigger just laughter, most times as of recent, it triggers a smile, but sometimes the absence, his absence, is really loud.”

Oof. And no matter how much time has passed, Regina pointed out that “the sadness” she feels from losing Ian “will never go away.” The Ray star concluded:

“Sometimes, you know, it’s a lot of guilt comes over me. When a parent loses a child, you still wonder what could I have done so that wouldn’t have happened. I know that I share this grief with everyone, but no one else is Ian’s mom. Only me. And so, it’s mine and the sadness will never go away. It will always be with me, and I think I saw somewhere, ‘The sadness is a reminder of how much he means to me.’”

According to Puck News, Best Song nominee Diane Warren was furious at how Ariana Grande and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo handled presenting the award! And apparently she let everyone around her know it, even going so far as throwing a “mini tantrum”! It wasn’t about losing out to Billie Eilish for the tearjerking What Was I Made For from Barbie, per the newsletter. It was the fact Ari went straight from the banter to reading out the name of the winner — without ever listing the nominees! Meaning Diane’s name didn’t get mentioned before Billie’s win…

Warren is a perennial nominee in the category but always a bridesmaid. She’s been nominated 15 TIMES, including almost every single year since 2014. Often, like this year, her nomination is the only area in which its movie gets anywhere close to an award. This year’s song was The Fire Inside from Flamin’ Hot — the based on a not-at-all-true, born-in-a-marketing-meeting story of the origin of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Yeah, not exactly Oscar bait. And yet Diane gets those nominations, no matter what. Not always for undeniable bangers that get airplay or leave a cultural footprint. But Oscar noms, those she can score every time. She just has the knack, we guess.

But Diane apparently wasn’t happy with just a nod. It wasn’t enough that her song was performed by Becky G onstage at the prestigious ceremony. The way Puck News reports it, she wanted the namedrop. And fair enough.

But she did actually get one.

This wasn’t Ariana’s mistake, btw. For some reason the show didn’t think it was necessary to recap the categories that were presented throughout the night. You know how viewers were confused as to why Al Pacino didn’t read the nominees for Best Picture before announcing the winner? Well, they did the same thing with songs. Each one got a performance instead, and in the intro to that performance they announced the movie, the songwriters, everything. Here’s that one, listen closely at the beginning…

But one mention apparently wasn’t enough for Diane, per this report. According to them, eyewitnesses saw her jump up immediately as the show continued, running around the orchestra level trying to find someone to complain to, like a member of the Board of Governors. It was so embarrassing, per the report, that Flamin’ Hot director Eva Longoria saw it and “bailed for the lobby.” Oof.

Honestly, we agree they should take the note from both incidents and just recap the nominees next year. Heck, if for no other reason than we’re sure Warren will be there again!
