As Perezcious readers will recall, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum accused the 51-year-old reality star of sexually assaulting her during filming for an unaired season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip back in January 2023. She also filed a lawsuit against Bravo, Peacock, and other production companies, claiming Brandi harassed and kissed her without consent at their request. During the reported incident, Brandi — who is not named in the suit — allegedly mounted Caroline “on the couch holding Manzo down with her body, forcibly squeezed Manzo’s cheeks together and thrust her tongue in Manzo’s mouth, while humping her.” What the f**k.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has continued to maintain her innocence since the accusations dropped. An executive producer later claimed Caroline only felt “disrespected” by Brandi and was not “sexually violated.” Hmm.

However, by the time someone came forward to back the longtime Bravolebrity’s version of events, it was too late in her eyes. The damage was already done by that point. She lost job opportunities. Her health spiraled out of control. And her reputation went down the toilet. To Brandi, Bravo and Andy “ruined” her entire life. And she made that point crystal clear in an interview published with the US Sun on Thursday.

Insisting that she “didn’t do anything wrong,” Brandi slammed the network for not helping her out during the scandal:

“That’s why she’s not suing me, because I didn’t do anything wrong. And I think she’s suing Bravo, because she wants money. And what would she get from me? My rental? I don’t have any money to give her. I think that Bravo hung me out to dry for a storyline, for a show, knowing that all of that press would cause me to lose other jobs, and it did, and they didn’t care. They don’t care about me. It went from I sexually harassed someone to sexual misconduct. There were even people who were calling me a rapist. People just were tearing me apart. And the fact that Bravo didn’t say anything then, it’s like ‘Help me. Help me. Tell the truth. Help me!.’ I hate them.”

Oof. Brandi claimed Bravo asked her “not to talk” about the incident afterwards, too — not that it stopped her:

“They told me, keep my head down. It’s gonna be fine. I have emails from them like, ‘Keep your head down, it’s gonna be fine, do what we say,’ all the while they had every intention of just hanging me out to dry for the sake of a storyline on a TV show.”

Eventually, the whole ordeal started to take a massive toll on Brandi’s physical and mental health. Months after the alleged incident in Morocco, she ended up in the hospital for three days as her “face started swelling up,” her “eyes went blurry,” and her “hands got really stiff.” She recalled the “scary” situation:

“In July of last year, I started having these attacks of swelling in my face, and I was put in the hospital in October. They said I had stress-induced angioedema, and I would just need to control my stress.”

But managing her stress, as she pointed out, was “easier said than done.” Between the allegations against her and having no income anymore, she struggled to follow the doctor’s orders:

“When you’re being called a sexual predator, or that you sexually harassed someone – when that narrative is out there and Bravo literally could have stepped in at any time and helped me. They could have helped me, but it wasn’t until they got a lawsuit against them that they said Brandi didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe this is all for a storyline, and you just wanted to ruin my life and my health for a storyline you’re speaking up a year and a half later, and you could have said this in the beginning, I lost three shows.”

Things have become so bad for Brandi that she doesn’t “leave” her house these days. At one point, she was even “suicidal”:

“It’s just consumed my life. The cancel culture thing is real, and I didn’t do anything wrong, and they didn’t care to correct it until they got a lawsuit against them. I was literally suicidal, and if it wasn’t for Phaedra [Parks] and my kids, I don’t know where I’d be right now.”

It wasn’t just her overall well-being that took a hit. Her business opportunities also went out the window. She hasn’t even worked since coming back from RHUGT filming! Brandi said:

“In the past year and a half since I returned home from Morocco, I have not worked, not one job. I had jobs lined up overseas, those were canceled.”

And she doesn’t just blame Bravo for ruining her life. She also blames Andy. Brandi called out the What What Happens Live host, saying:

“When Andy quits you it’s not just that you’re not going to work for Bravo ever again. You’re not going to work for Bravo, you’re not going to work for NBC, you’re not going to work for Warner Brothers, which is a part of every TV show. Every time I see Warner Brothers, every time I turn on the TV, I get depressed. I’m like, I’m never working again. It’s not just Andy. There’s all of these huge companies behind him that will ruin your life, and they have.”

Brandi feels Andy thinks her “life is a joke” and “would pull the strings” when it came to her career:

“Like he’s saying, ‘Okay, we’ll give Brandi, no work now, and we’re gonna cancel her and see if she is okay. And I’m not. My health is f**ked and, like, I don’t want to talk about it. It’s been a really hard year, and I’m finally strong enough to say, ‘You know what f*** you, you’re gonna pay for everything that you did. Everyone’s gonna know what a horrible boss you were.’”

And Brandi’s made sure to expose his inappropriate behavior over the years! She even dropped that video of Andy and Below Deck’s Kate Chastain inviting her to watch them sleep together! And when asked if she believes that RHUGT Morocco will ever see the light of day, Brandi responded:

“I know that after they see this interview, I’m not going to get a great edit. So, hopefully not.”

Earlier this year, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum claimed the executive producer sexually harassed her in 2022 by drunkenly asking her to watch him and Below Deck’s Kate Chastain sleep with each other over video. Andy apologized and swore the video message was “meant in jest” and nothing more soon afterward. Following “an outside investigation,” he also was cleared of the misconduct claims from Brandi and RHONY’s Leah McSweeney.

However, the video of the interaction then dropped this week, and it does not help Andy’s case right now! See (below):

Joke or not, a boss should not say that stuff to an employee. When the video came out, Brandi cautioned this was not the “first explicit text message or email” she got from Andy throughout her career. And now, she’s dropping those receipts!

Brandi alleged in an interview with The US Sun on Wednesday that Andy often treated her like a “little sex worker” and pushed her to hook up with other Bravo stars and staff members — including Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll! As we mentioned, she even has texts and emails to back up these shocking claims! The 51-year-old television personality said she received two messages from Andy after BravoCon weekend in October 2022. He first wrote on October 17:

“Kind of hoping you and my stage manager hooked up.”

And the stage manager wasn’t the only one he wanted her to sleep with! In another text the next day, the Watch What Happens Live host then mentioned he “really wanted you and Austin to get together,” adding:

“He had his eyes on you.”

Whoa. Brandi seemed to shut down the idea in a reply, saying:

“Ummm he’s already DM ’d me like four times Shep too but Austin had his girl with him. I’m going to Charleston for sure and I don’t even like blondes. We need more male options!”

Of course, the “Austin” Andy referred to was the Southern Charm star. Looking back on these texts, Brandi stated to the outlet a “boss should never talk to you that way” because it was an “abuse of power”:

“We are not friends, we do not hang out outside of work ever, and we were at a work event. I felt this tremendous amount of pressure to please him, but that was too far. I’m not going to go and sleep with someone. He literally thought I would do it. That’s the disgusting part. And as my boss, telling him I need to sleep with another employee [that] he employs. He’s got problems.”

The reality star said the messages made her feel “disgusted” at the time as she thought Andy was “pimping” her out:

“Like, what am I supposed to go and hook up with these guys and tell you about how the sex is, because you told me to? That is a different kind of boss. That is a pimp. I am not a hooker. You are not my pimp. And I feel like he even just suggesting that to me – he has some issues that he needs to resolve. Who the f**k does he think he is? Does he think he’s God? Does he think I’m going to run off and spread my legs because he told me to? I think he thinks that I would! I would never do that, but I think he thinks I would. Otherwise, why would he say that to me? Why would he text that to me? It’s very brazen.”

That’s for sure! He was bound to know these receipts would come out eventually, especially when Brandi was determined to take him down since her RHUGT scandal. Perhaps that’s why he was so nervous about being canceled recently…

Ultimately, Brandi believes Andy pressured her to sleep with men “that he can’t because they’re straight.” Yeesh. She continued:

“So I’m like his little sex worker, and I’m not, I’m sorry. I’m a mom of two. I’ve been in two long-term relationships my entire life. I’m not what he’s made me into in his head. I’m not that, and I have to play the role. And it f**king is disgusting.”

What’s more? The mom of two claimed Andy didn’t just tell her to hook up with other Bravo employees. He also allegedly asked her to tell her about the people she slept with “and who has a big penis.” And yes, she has the proof to back it up. In January 2023, Andy asked Brandi during an appearance on WWHL how good of a lover her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian was. She replied:

“He’s great, he’s a nine.”

While The Traitors alum wasn’t bothered about the question too much, it was what happened afterward that grossed her out. Andy contacted her the following day from his NBCUniversal email to say:

“Get home safe. Eddie was a NINE?”

Brandi thinks Andy’s “nine” was in reference to his penis size. She told the outlet:

“The last thing I want to do is talk about my ex, especially his penis size. But you’re on his show, you’re playing by his rules. You have to answer the question. I said ‘Oh, he’s a nine. He’s great.’ And that being on television is one thing, but then the next day, he starts emailing me to try to get more information about my ex-husband’s penis. And this is private, this is not for public consumption anymore. This isn’t like the joke that he was supposedly making. I don’t even think it’s funny. It’s not a joke that’s just weird, but to follow up and ask more questions. I just in that moment, I knew I had to put up with it. I knew that this is going to be our relationship.”

And there’s more. Brandi further accused Andy of asking her to tell him if she heard anything about him in bed. He wrote in a text on July 27, 2022:

“Btw [by the way] next time I see you I wanna hear all the sex stuff you’ve heard about ME!”

To which she replied:

“I really haven’t heard that much honestly other than Marco, that’s it.”

Oof. According to Brandi, she dealt “with very sexually explicit texts and emails for over a decade” while on Bravo, and she never once thought they “were jokes.” Although the author was disturbed by their correspondence, the only reason she put up with it was because Andy promised her work:

“I had to act like I wasn’t bothered by it, because what if I said, ‘You’re disgusting.’ You think I would ever work again, or, ‘F**k off’? No, I would be dead in the water. It was like he was dangling the carrot. Like, ‘Oh, here’s $5,000 to do this, and here’s five to do that,’ and, ‘We think we’re gonna bring you back.’ But I feel like, for him, my life is a joke.”

Yikes…

“I feel like Andy created a character that he wanted me to be and I became that character because I need to work. It’s the only job I’ve had since I was married, and my husband took care of me. So I don’t have a skill set. I had to play ball. And if that means people thinking horrible things about me, which my real friends know are not true, then I just have to deal with the public perception.”

Earlier this year, Brandi Glanville accused the Bravo executive producer of sending her a video in 2022 in which he drunkenly “boasted” about wanting to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” of her. That other “Bravo star” was Below Deck’s Kate Chastain. Andy also allegedly invited The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum to watch them hook up via FaceTime. Brandi slammed his actions as an “extraordinary abuse of power” in a letter to the network and NBCUniversal at the time. In response, the Watch What Happens Live host insisted he and Kate were “very clearly joking to Brandi” in the video, adding:

“It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.”

However, Brandi and her attorneys weren’t satisfied with the “fake apology” from Andy. Her lawyers, Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos, even called for him to be “fired” over the sexual harassment claims afterward! That did not happen, though. Bravo later announced that he was cleared of all misconduct allegations brought against him by Brandi and RHONY’s Leah McSweeney following “an outside investigation.”

Throughout the ordeal, the video in question was never shown to the public… until now! The footage was released by The US Sun on Tuesday, and it is not a good look for Andy! In a video message sent to Brandi by Andy, he is seen asking the television personality to watch him and Kate have sex together. The former chief stew begins by saying:

“Hey bitch!”

Andy then chimes in to tell Brandi:

“Brandi, we have something to tell you. We are f**king tonight, and we’re gonna talk about you the whole time.”

When Kate mentions that it is “essentially a threesome,” that’s when the executive producer shockingly invited the RHUGT star to watch them:

“So it’s kind of like a threesome. Actually, if you’re around in like 90 minutes or two hours, do you wanna watch us on Facetime?”

Turning toward Kate, he asked:

“Would you be cool with that?”

Her response? The Traitors alum was down for it, telling Brandi to make sure she has “strong WiFi.” Concluding the video, Andy said while raising his glass to the camera:

“Love you, Brandi!”

Whoa. Even if all of this was a joke as Andy claimed, this is not something a boss should say to one of his employees — ever. So inappropriate! At the time, Brandi responded with something super explicit, though she stressed to the outlet that she felt she needed to “match Andy’s energy” to keep her job. She replied:

“Oh my god my two favorite people!!!! I love that c**t Trust me you’re going to want me there if you’re having sex I have a magic p***y.”

Hmm. To which Andy wrote back:

“So I’ve heard.”

Speaking with The US Sun, Brandi noted that the NSFW video was not the “first explicit text message or email” she received from Andy, “but it’s the worst one.” She recalled that he sent her the clip in June 2022 while they were both at different work events and it left her feeling “mortified and embarrassed” at the time:

“Andy was at a work event in the South of France with Kate, it was a Bravo upfront kind of thing, and I was doing press for the Ultimate Girls Trip in LA. I was in a work environment. I had a hairstylist doing my hair, and when I opened the text, I tried to shut it. I was so mortified and embarrassed, like, does this guy think I’d f**k my boss to get a job? Because that’s what it sounded like. Like, he’s gonna think about me having sex, while he’s having sex with someone else. Does this guy think that I sleep around to get jobs? That’s how I felt, and it’s just taken a toll. The whole thing has been horrible.”

While the 51-year-old reality star recognized the radio host “did not look sober,” she feels his actions went way too far as, at the end of the day, he is her “boss,” not her friend:

“Andy’s my boss. That’s it. He makes everyone feel like, ‘Oh, I’m friends with all the Housewives.’ I’ve never hung out with him, ever, not once socially, I would go to Watch What Happens Live, and I would go home. We never had a drink, we never had anything. But he creates these illusions of friendship. He’ll text you to make you feel like you’re special, or that he’s available to you, but we did not have a friendship, not one second. Andy and I are not friends, we’ve never hung out, we’ve never gotten a drink, we don’t have mutual friends. I am an employee.  And I don’t know how he treats other Housewives, but I think he treats me like s**t compared to them, actually.”

What’s more, she feels because of her “more desperate money situation” that Andy believed he could “do and say whatever he want[ed]” to her and “preys” on those in the Bravo world who are not wealthy:

“He likes to prey on people. I say prey, because the more desperate you are for money in a check, the more he mistreats you and gets you to do and say things that he would never probably say to any other Housewives. This is my boss, like, this has been my job for 13 years, so I treat it like that – a job. He’s in charge of whether I can put food on the table or not, and people think I’m rich. I am not rich. Other Housewives are rich. I literally live check to check.”

Ultimately, Brandi wishes she “never allowed him to talk to me that way”:

“I mean, I don’t, I don’t know if you can see me, but my health is messed up. I am in therapy, to this point like I have been looking back at all of our other texts and being disgusted with myself for entertaining them and not telling him to f*** off, but I just wasn’t in a position where I could. You have to play well, he’s your boss. You have to act like it’s fine, it’s a joke, it’s great! Like he’s gracing you with this video, like it’s a gift.”

Over the weekend, Julianne Hough appeared on Watch What Happens Live, and revealed to host Andy Cohen that she didn’t think Bobby, the season 27 winner, deserved his crown based on his dance moves. Mickey Guyton, who was also on the show, was the first to criticize Bobby’s win, which Julianne wholeheartedly agreed with:

“Oh, I actually agree with you! And I think it’s because of the fanbase, right? It’s all about the fanbase on that show … He was not the best dancer, I agree.”

Ouch! And now, Bobby is clapping back!

The radio personality took to Instagram on Monday to sound off on the situation:

“Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live had Julianne Hough on [who] I’ve met her a couple times, she’s awesome. Julianne Hough [gets] no slander from me. But they asked Julianne Hough who was the worst ever and she was a bit diplomatic, and Mickey Guyton, of all people, was like, ‘Bob Bones.’ And so Julianne was like, ‘Yeah.’”

But guess what? He AGREES! The 44-year-old continued:

“I was the worst dancer. I take pride in that. Now I tried as hard as anyone in the history of the show, but I can’t dance now. I couldn’t dance then. But you know who took down the big evil empire of dance? Well, it’s not evil or an empire, but me and you. We did it together. I’m the greatest champion ever I didn’t say I was the greatest dancer, I’m the greatest champion ever because I’m a man of the people. I’m the man that you guys selected.”

He added:

“Julianne Hough, you’re cool … You’re awesome.”

On an episode of Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the 36-year-old revealed that she thinks the season 27 winner of the dance competition show didn’t deserve his place. In the clip, guest host Mickey Guyton said she thinks champ Bobby Bones shouldn’t have taken home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy — and Julianne was totally in agreement:

“Oh, I actually agree with you! And I think it’s because of the fanbase, right? It’s all about the fanbase on that show.”

In fact, she went on to add that she thinks he’s just not a great dancer in general:

“He was not the best dancer, I agree.”

The DWTS host quickly clarified her stance along with Mickey, though, and they both said he had “great” fans who “love him.” You can see the clip (below):

If you don’t remember, Bobby did the popular “flossing” dance move with his partner Sharna Burgess on the show, which racked up TONS of fan votes and got him the win.

During Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Bowen Yang played a game of “Truth or Kink” during which he was asked to name the “worst behavior” he’d witnessed on Saturday Night Live. Without naming names, the comedian dished:

“This man who… this person, this host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday before the table-read because he hated the ideas. Terrible.”

“Multiple” cast members?!

Jeez!!!

Bowen’s been on the show since 2018, so there are quite a few people he could’ve been talking about!

But, naturally, Dave Chappelle comes to mind considering the awkward moment they shared on stage last season. In January as host Dakota Johnson closed out her episode, the stand-up star randomly appeared on stage — and Bowen stood far off in the corner with his arms crossed. Look (below)!

Considering Dave’s harmful LGBTQ+ remarks over the years, it seemed like Bowen may have been making a point, but the Fire Island star hit back at the speculation weeks ago, telling Variety in June:

“I stand where I always stand on good nights. It was not a physical distance that anyone was creating. It had to do with so many things that were completely internal.”

When asked if he was happy with Dave’s appearance, he replied:

“It was about other people’s response in the show. I was just confused, that was it.”

Feels like a pretty diplomatic response.

Kenan Thompson also stood up for his pal, saying that it was “jarring” to see the headlines about Bowen and Dave, but he did admit that everyone was confused at The Nutty Professor alum’s appearance since he wasn’t part of that episode.

Hmm…

While Dave wasn’t the host that week, he did host in 2022, during which he reportedly tricked the whole production into airing a controversial opening monologue! So it certainly seems possible he may be the person Bowen’s calling out!

For the record, a few hosts have been called out for bad behavior over the years. Steven Seagal was a legendary bad host the entire cast hated. More recently, Pete Davidson has also called out one specific person he worked with on the show — SNL vet Chevy Chase! He called the Vacation star a “genuinely bad, racist person” during an interview on The Howard Stern Show. Chevy starred in the first two seasons of the show before returning as the host several times.

But all that was before Bowen was cast on the NBC hit. So we’re at square one again. Hmm. Maybe it was Elon Musk? Bowen did call him out on social media the week he hosted:

And this is not just another rumor circulating online either. Nope! This is coming straight from the Bravo king himself, Andy Cohen! The 56-year-old executive producer teased a revamp of RHONJ during the Monday episode on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live after a call from a very disgruntled fan named Joanne complaining about how “boring” the show is now! She said:

“Can we please, please, please get rid of the Melissa [Gorga] and Margaret [Josephs] story? It’s just so boring now.”

Ouch! That must have stung for Andy, an executive producer on the series! We mean, no one to hear someone pretty much say how their show sucks these days — no matter how true it may be! He replied to Joanne:

“Have you heard that we’re going to do big changes to the show?”

She admitted she never heard anything about it and then went on to complain about Season 14 of RHONJ some more! Joanne said she felt no one on the cast has “their own storylines” except for Teresa, who is “interesting to everybody” in her eyes. Clearly, girl is a Tre fan! Becoming exasperated with Joanna, Andy just blurted out the bombshell news:

“OK, well, yes, we are rebooting the show. Thank you, Joanne. We’re going to reboot it. We’re going to do something different.”

His confession left Joanne stunned, but not for too long! She then went on to advocate for saving at least one RHONJ cast member’s job! You guessed it… The caller pointed out to Andy that Teresa “will always get in trouble” while the other cast members are just “boring.” Yeesh! When Andy asked Joanne if she wanted Teresa to “stay on the show,” you could guess her answer by now. It was an obvious YES! She insisted “Teresa is the show” before slamming the rest of the cast again. But cutting her off, Andy reiterated that a revamp with “all fresh faces” could happen as early as next season:

“We got it. We’re gonna see what we do. We’ll see. I don’t know, maybe just all fresh faces. Maybe. We’ll see.”

In addition to Teresa, RHONJ stars Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler. And let’s just say most of them don’t get along with each other these days! Of course, we have the infamous family feud between Melissa and Teresa. Margaret is on bad terms with Tre after she accuses her husband, Luis Ruelas, of calling her son and threatening him. Rachel hates the podcast host, too! Why? Well, Teresa called her hubby John Fuda “the biggest drug dealer in Bergen County.” Damn. Moving on from her drama with everyone…

Things also got ugly between Danielle and Jennifer this season — like really ugly! Jennifer pushed Danielle, and, in response, she smashed a glass on her co-star’s face! The only reason the pair started fighting was over a hairdresser! Jennifer accused Danielle of trying to “sabotage” her hairstylist, Melissa (not Gorga, FYI). At this point, the cast is split into two groups, with Melissa, Margaret, Rachel, Danielle, and Jenn on one side and Teresa, Jennifer, and Jackie on the other! Meanwhile, Dolores is Switzerland, bouncing between the two! Jeez!

It’s so bad on RHONJ now that the women can’t even be in the same room with each other to film a reunion this season! Instead, fans will get a “nontraditional” reunion — if you can even call it that! It’s basically the stars divided into two groups to watch the Season 14 finale. A source told Us Weekly:

“The reunion is supposed to be about resolution and it’s clear there’s no resolving any issues between the women. There is no wrap-up in a bow and it’s not going to happen.”

So messy. Unless the current cast can put aside their differences enough to be willing to film and work with each other moving forward, it looks like it’s time to say goodbye to the women of Jersey! We can’t have another season where we rehash the same fights over and over again or no one wants to be in the same room with each other. It just won’t work.

On a new episode of Watch What Happens Live  this week, host Andy Cohen asked her about her opinion on Austin’s accent, to which she said:

“I just … That’s Austin to me. I didn’t know that he was from Anaheim. He spent so long being Elvis that I think it just stuck. I’ve never heard him … like, I didn’t know him pre-Elvis. So that’s just Austin to me.”

LOLz!

During Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Scream actor was asked how he liked working with the Bravo veteran on their 2020 horror-comedy film Spree. At first, the retired pro wrestler tried to keep it kind, saying:

“I didn’t really have any scenes with her. So, I mean, we’ve met a couple times at like the screening and stuff.”

While they may not have had much time together, in true Lala fashion, she left an unforgettable impression! And in this case, we definitely don’t mean that in a good way!

Unprompted, David went on:

“[She was] not the friendliest to me. I don’t know.”

Oof!!

The actor tried to laugh it off — but ultimately only doubled down on his diss, saying:

“Gave me a little attitude. I felt a little attitude. I wasn’t trying to give attitude. I was like, ah, why am I getting attitude?”

He also agreed with Andy Cohen, saying it felt “exactly” like he was on an episode of Vanderpump Rules! Yeesh!

If you don’t know, Spree premiered in 2020 while Lala was still engaged to her controversial ex Randall Emmett, with whom she shares her daughter Ocean. S**t hit the fan for the relationship in October 2021 when they called it quits amid allegations that the film producer cheated on his reality star partner. And now, some fans think this romance is partly to blame for Lala’s behavior!

Reacting to the way she treated the Never Been Kissed star as revealed by Arquette himself during the interivew, people commented like this (below):

For those who don’t know, the actor has always been against using deodorant. He told People for his “Sexiest Man Alive” cover story in 2005 that he hadn’t put on any BO-masking product in two decades, all because he wanted to smell like “a man.” What?! But Matthew supposedly took in no complaints about his “natural smell.” His Tropic Thunder co-star Yvette Nicole Brown even claimed he has a “sweet, sweet scent,” saying:

“I remember that Matthew McConaughey said that he did not use deodorant and that he didn’t have an odor. So my first thought is, ‘I’m going to get as close as I can to him to see if he’s right.’ He did not have an odor. He smells like granola and good living. He has a sweet, sweet scent that is just him and it’s not musty or crazy.”

Not everyone would agree, though. Especially Kate! The guy apparently smelled so bad while filming Fool’s Gold that she requested he put something on to mask it! The Magic Mike star told Playboy way back in 2008 that his co-star — who already would have known his odor from their time playing lovers in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days  — “always” brought him a “salt rock” on set. Salt rocks absorb moisture, which can help eliminate smells. She begged Matthew to use it, and he refused. He wouldn’t even budge and just wear cologne or deodorant for filming! Damn, McConaughey! Not even for Kate? Come on!

But wait, is the story true…?! During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, Andy Cohen read a fan-submitted question all about the rumor regarding his body odor! He asked:

“Was that old urban legend true that you forced Matthew McConaughey to wear deodorant while filming Fool’s Gold?”

Her response? “NO!” Kate explained:

“No. He doesn’t wear deodorant — and by the way, I don’t either.”

However, she did admit his natural musk on set was… pretty pungent! In fact, the Glee alum said she could smell Matthew “from, you know, a mile” away on set because they “got so close” at times, adding:

“We’re au naturels.”

Eww! We don’t want to think about how bad the set smelled! Even if Matthew took multiple showers a day as he told Playboy, we bet his scent wasn’t all daisies all the time! Watch Kate make the confession on WWHL (below):
