Kaia Gerber just posted the ultimate diss at an ex on her Instagram! On Tuesday, the model posted a photo of herself rocking a skinny black bikini while sunbathing on a dock. Normally, that kind of thirst trap alone would be enough to send a signal — but she added way more oomph! In the photo, she was holding a book titled DEAR D**KHEAD — and in the caption she wrote that it was “a book for someone i used to know.” DAMN! But that’s not all! In a second photo, she highlighted a passage from the book, which read:

“At this point, your sheer dumbf**kery commands a certain respect. But it doesn’t change the basics: I don’t give a s**t about you. All my love to your sister, she was a wonderful friend.”

Damn!!!

BTW, the book is a French novel by Virginie Despentes about a “B-list novelist” who insults an actress online and they “strike up a combative correspondence.” And get this! The guy gets “accused of sexual harassment by his former publicist.” The book touches deeply on the patriarchy and addiction, per Macmillan Publishers. It’s the September pick for Kaia and Alyssa Reeder‘s Library Science book club, too, which was also announced on the day this was posted.

But adding in a subtweet of “someone” she used to know is… another level! Obviously with the sexual politics the book is playing in, we have to think she’s blasting a guy she dated.

In recent years, Kaia’s been linked to Jacob Elordi and, briefly, Pete Davidson. She’s currently dating Austin Butler — at least, if they’re still good. Who is this book message for? Well, they all have sisters, so that won’t help narrow down the mystery man! Who do Y’ALL think she could be calling out?? Is she referencing a former beau — or did the Elvis star just do something to piss her off?!

They’ve been linked since 2021 and were last spotted holding hands while out and about in NYC almost two weeks ago. So far as we know, everything’s been going well in the romance… but maybe s**t just hit the fan and she’s subtly hinting at it?? We hope not!! Also with the “used to know” thing we’re thinking ancient history. Then again… it is a pretty fresh-feeling attack!

Last Month, the thank u, next singer became the subject of a spirited social media brouhaha after appearing on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast. ICYM the viral clip, Ari totally switched from a higher, breathier octave while speaking about her return to making music to a lower tone while going off-topic in a candid moment.

Fans quickly accused her of using her “customer service voice,” having “two personalities,” and trying to keep “regular Ariana” restrained. Others blamed it on the character of Glinda, which she portrays in this year’s Wicked film. The whole thing was wildly debated online at the time! And now, she’s revisiting the topic.

During an appearance on Evan Ross Katz’s Shut Up Evan podcast on Tuesday, the 31-year-old pop star explained:

“I think it’s just a very normal thing that certain conversations are different tonally. If I’m feeling very bubbly, I’ll sound more bubbly. If I’m feeling more serious, I’m gonna sound more serious. I’m not the same all the time — no one is!”

She doubled down on a previous notion that she alters her voice to “preserve [her] vocal health,” before confirming that she initially got into the habit of speaking in the higher-toned, breathier voice to prep for Glinda:

“Another thing that is very real is that I just spent a long time playing a character every single day and training my voice to do different things for a long time, even before leaving for London [to film Wicked]. The voice is in the body. It’s an instrument, and muscle memory is a real thing. If I slip in and out of mannerisms or tonal shifts that I trained myself to do every single day for two years, that’s kind of a normal thing.”

She went on to compare her situation to that of male actors who go “method” for roles, but don’t receive the same criticism that she did:

“You see with male actors that after the fact, people are always like: ‘Oh, wow! How dedicated he is to his craft. The transformation! He’s a brilliant performer!’”

*Cough* Austin Butler *cough* *cough*

She continued:

“And if God forbid I sneeze like Glinda or make an intonation like her, then I’m crazy and ‘someone should check on her.’ After I made that comment [about changing my vocal placement], I started thinking about the other ways in which this is normal, and not only normal but also: I had a job to do.”

The Yes, And singer concluded:

“It’s a strange thing to be under such a microscope and sometimes people don’t really know what that’s like, so it’s the weirdest thing. We all do that. We all acclimate, and we all have different modes.”

We can understand where she’s coming from here. BUT!!! This isn’t the first time she’s come under fire for the way she speaks! Back in 2018, she was accused of speaking with a Blaccent … which, uh, yeah. We haven’t forgotten about that! Gonna blame THAT on vocal health??

A source who attended the event dished to People on Monday that Tay Tay and her man were in high spirits:

“They were on the patio and in great moods. She had a very happy, giant smile. He was protective of her and she was delightful and glowing — they seemed very happy together and loving the night.”

So cute!!

Other A-listers who kicked it with T-Swizzle and TK during the night included Billie Eilish, Cillian Murphy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Austin Butler, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. Vanessa was a guest on Wednesday’s episode of the She Pivots podcast, where she opened up about the split — which was apparently one of the best things to ever happen to her!

“I feel like so much of my character was built from my breakups. My last breakup had really catapulted me into a very, very special place.”

Of course, she’s only had the one breakup in such a long time. She and Austin were together for almost a decade before they broke up in 2020.

But leaving that relationship only brought Vanessa to her true happiness. She beamed:

“It pushed me to the right person, which I’m so grateful for.”

Obviously she’s talking about new hubby Cole Tucker. She gushed about the MLB star:

“He is just the most supportive, real, understanding human being that I’ve ever met.”

Ooh, we know she’s just complimenting her husband, which is great, but… in this context, does anyone else think she’s jabbing at her ex a bit? After all, calling Cole “real” after shading Austin over his neverending Elvis accent and failure to credit her for helping him get his star-making role? Feels pretty pointed, no?

Let’s rewind real fast! During an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Actors Roundtable last year, the 32-year-old actor spoke about the journey to becoming the iconic singer in the Baz Luhrmann-directed film. He explained it all began when “a friend” once told him he was meant for the part. However, the person in the story wasn’t just a pal! That person was his former partner of nine years, Vanessa!! She had essentially manifested him getting this role for Austin — and even told the same story in 2019 while on Live! With Kelly and Ryan! Fans slammed him on social media for not giving her the credit for his success in Hollywood. And following the backlash, he did give her a brief shout-out.

A year after the controversy, though, Austin clarified why he only referred to Vanessa as “a friend.” In a new interview with Esquire on Tuesday, The Carrie Diaries alum shared that he didn’t name the 35-year-old because he wanted to protect her “privacy.” Hmm… He said:

“Oh, yeah, I learned a lesson with that one. I felt that I was respecting her privacy in a way and not wanting to bring up a ton of things that would cause her to have to talk. I have so much love and care for her. It was in no way trying to erase anything.”

It’s nice and all that Austin says he wanted to respect Vanessa’s privacy. But did he really think people would have reacted well to him calling his former girlfriend of nine years a pal? It only ended up causing more drama instead of protecting her peace! He could have just said “my ex” from the beginning, and none of this would have happened! He continued defending himself, adding:

“I value my own privacy so much. I didn’t want to give up anybody else’s privacy.”

Vanessa hasn’t addressed the drama yet, but we have to wonder if she would feel Austin also was doing a good thing and trying to protect her privacy by initially leaving her out of the story! Or if she felt her ex was really attempting to “erase” her from his life?

“Everyone says when you go on a date with someone, don’t do the dinner, do a drink, but I don’t know better.”

But the Elvis star was encouraging, saying:

“I like the dinner… Then you know if it doesn’t work. You get to talk. You’re gonna have a good time. I’ve got a good feeling about it.”

He was talking about her date with someone else — but damned if he wasn’t staring into her soul and letting her know he’d be her knight in shining armor instead! In fact, he suggested something along those lines! When she asked what if there were “weird vibes” immediately and she had a long dinner ahead? Callum quipped:

“Then run.”

But Austin suggested something more subtle — that he could help with:

“You go to the bathroom and you call a friend and you have them give you a surprise call. You want me to do that?”

Drew accepted the offer immediately, saying:

“Yes, would you do that?! Really??”

She was so moved she put her hand on his knee! You won’t see Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos do that! Well, except with each other. Austin then added:

“I think that would be amazing… just send me a text later.”

It’s still unclear what the object was, but it looks more squishy than hard in the video. That’s good for Flo in the sense it didn’t take her effing eye out — but gross because it kind of looked like food, possibly even a piece of fish? Ick!

This is seriously a disgusting trend that needs to come to an END! Do people not remember Bebe Rexha literally requiring STITCHES after someone threw a cellphone at her back in June??

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter that went live on Wednesday, the former wife of the late Elvis Presley talked about the upcoming film based on her life Priscilla. The movie is set to premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival, and the 78-year-old businesswoman is feeling the pressure:

“I’m so nervous because it’s my life. The people who are watching, they’re living it with you, and you hope and pray that they get it. They get your feelings, your hurts, your sensitivity.”

The movie is based on her book, Elvis & Me, but when it was in postproduction things took a big turn when Priscilla and Elvis’ only daughter suddenly and tragically passed away. At the time, we reported Lisa Marie died from a small bowel obstruction at the age of 54 — and apparently the signs were there, according to her mother:

“I did know there was something not right.”

In fact, the actress said just two days before her daughter’s passing she could tell something was wrong. At the Golden Globes while celebrating Austin Butler‘s award for his role in Elvis, the mother-daughter duo went to Chateau Marmont to celebrate:

“We had just gotten there, you go down all these stairs. I tripped a little bit because I had these high heels on, and she started laughing so hard. I started laughing. We hadn’t even had a drink yet. She goes, ‘Oh my God, Mom, you can’t even have a drink.’ … It was fun, a fun memory. Then we sat down and ordered drinks, and she says, ‘Mom, my stomach hurts really bad.’ We immediately got up and left.”

Just two days later, those stomach pains would take the songstress’ life — and by the time Priscilla found out, it was too late:

“I got right in the car, but she was already gone. I still can’t believe it. I don’t wish this on any mother.”

So, so sad…

Later in the interview, The Naked Gun star shocked everyone by saying her feud with Riley Keough was not that at all, though! As we’ve been following, Priscilla filed a petition questioning Lisa Marie’s will after she passed — allegedly her daughter had removed her and former business manager Barry Siegel as trustees to the estate and replaced them with her own kids. With Benjamin Keough sadly having already passed, that left sole ownership of Graceland to Riley.

For a while, things seemed really tense between Priscilla and Riley as they tried to navigate the legality of it all! But now, the grandmother is saying it was all just for publicity:

“Riley is now the executor, which should be right, obviously, being her daughter. Riley and I are on good terms. We were never not on good terms. That was all publicity.”

Whoa.

Continuing on, the author said she and Riley are actually speaking to each other and hanging out:

“This is private and this is not something to fool around with and say that we’re not agreeing. In fact, I’m having dinner with [Riley] tonight. We understand what needs to be done. I’m there for her. She knows that. She wants me there for her to help her.”

Well, it’s good to hear there’s apparently no bad blood! Although, for a while, it was looking pretty rough between them… Is it possible there’s some disagreement on the truth here??
