Pitcher Greg Swindell’s daughter Brenna has been found safe and sound after five days gone! The MLB vet posted to his FB on Tuesday morning:

“She has been found . That’s all for now. Thanks to EVERYONE who got involved. Sarah Swindell and I and our family and extended family thanks you.”

He didn’t get into details about what was going on with her. Now that she’s safe, it’s back to being a private matter. We’re just glad she’s OK!

Greg Swindell is in desperate need of help finding his daughter.

Over the weekend, the retired MLB pitcher took to Facebook with a startling post revealing his daughter Brenna had gone missing in Texas. He wrote:

“PLEASE HELP* Our daughter Brenna Swindell has not been seen or heard from in the Austin area since late Thursday afternoon. Her phone is off and she has not been in contact with family, friends, and most importantly her children.”

Scary! And even more concerning, he suspected in the post that she’s with her “violent” ex-boyfriend Morgan Guidry:

“Her ex-boyfriend in the photo has a warrant and is violent so PLEASE if you have seen or heard from either one of them, let us know.”

Later, he returned with an update revealing that Brenna was indeed spotted with Morgan on Thursday night — they’ve gotten as far as Colorado:

“They were seen together Thursday night and we have managed to get a GPS on the KIA that is now in Colorado. Both phones seem to be there but both are turned off. License Plate VFS7528 White Kia Carnival.”

He added a description of his missing daughter as well:

“She is 5’5″ and probably 120 or so pounds. She has brown shoulder-length hair she likes to wear in a high ponytail. She has a sleeve tattoo with flowers on one arm and a spider web on the other shoulder. She tends to always have a vape with her as well.”

THEN, on Sunday, Greg returned to Facebook with another update, revealing this is more than a family matter now. The Department of Public Safety has been working to pinpoint Brenna’s location:

“Because the GPS isn’t on and no cell phones are on, there is no science exactly where the car is by now. We haven’t heard anything back from DPS but they are on it and the missing persons have been filed. We have had lots of leads and [are] trying to sift through them. Until we can get KIA to activate the GPS tomorrow morning, and also figure out what apartment she is in as she moved on Tuesday and nobody knows the number, and the complex is closed today. So we desperately need to [go] in tomorrow.”

He added:

“We have no idea where in Colorado they are, or if they are even still there. PLEASE keep the tips coming of any sightings or information. Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what. I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger. Thank you again, everyone.”

Over on X (Twitter), fans were not shy in calling out Andress for bungling and anthem so badly, especially after she billed proudly by an MLB on-screen chyron as a “four-time Grammy nominee.” They shared:

If you didn’t know Andress before this, she has indeed been nominated for four Grammys — most notably Best New Artist in 2021, where she lost to Megan Thee Stallion. Her most recent album Good Person was released in 2022, and included a collab single with Sam Hunt called Wishful Drinking that blew up pretty big at the time. But other than that, she has been laying low for the last few years before suddenly announcing days ago that she’s got a single called Colorado 9 coming out next Wednesday.

Tim was just 57 years old when he passed away after battling brain cancer last October. He had a 19-year MLB career and won exactly 200 games and two World Series titles pitching almost entirely for the Boston Red Sox. Then, as he battled the brain cancer that would claim his life last year, his wife Stacy was simultaneously diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Now, Stacy has died as well. According to a statement made by the Wakefield family and shared by the Red Sox on Wednesday, she passed away at the couple’s home in Massachusetts. The family called her loss “unimaginable,” especially in the wake of losing Tim just a few months ago, and noted:

“It is with deep sadness that we share that our beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, and aunt, Stacy, passed away today at her home in Massachusetts. She was surrounded by her family and dear friends, as well as her wonderful caretakers and nurses.”

The statement went on:

“We will remember Stacy as a strong, loving, thoughtful and kind person, who was as down-to-earth as they come. We feel so lucky to have had her in our lives, and we take comfort in the fact that she will be reunited with Tim, the love of her life.”

And it also thanked doctors, nurses, and other caretakers who worked with Stacy through the pancreatic cancer fight:

“We are eternally grateful for your unmatched care and support. And to all of you who have sent well wishes over these last several months, we truly appreciate your kindness. We kindly ask for privacy at this time as we try to process this profound loss.”

The couple, who wed back in 2002, leaves behind two children: son Trevor, born in 2004, and daughter Brianna, born in 2005. This is such a sad situation. Sending love to all involved. R.I.P.

Before she became involved with “NFL Man,” AKA Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios, the 23-year-old social media influencer had been involved with MLB player, or “Baseball Boy,” Tyler Wade. She went public with the 29-year-old athlete in September 2022. However, their romance was short-lived. Alix broke up with Tyler three months later.

Around the time of their breakup, her career on TikTok took off as she gained followers for being open about her struggles with acne, anxiety, and her luxurious life in Miami during her “Get Ready With Me” videos. Naturally, fans became very curious about why Baseball Boy suddenly disappeared from her life! At the time, Alix hopped on a livestream to talk about what happened and gave an eyebrow-raising answer. A very influencer-like reason, some would say! The college student claimed she ended things with Tyler after he refused to post her on his Instagram. Yes, you read that right!

Alix quickly faced backlash for her comments, and now she’s clearing the air, sharing the real story behind their breakup for the first time! On the Hot Mess with Alix Earle podcast Thursday, Alix recalled the drama started at the end of 2022 when she confirmed her breakup with Tyler on TikTok Live. Soon afterward, she “felt all the blood drain from [her] face” and began to see screen recordings of her conversation:

“I just start s**t-talking the relationship. Basically, I’m like ‘Yeah, he wouldn’t post me. He turned evil. It was this whole mess.’ And the moment I got off that livestream, my life had flashed before my eyes, because all I saw was screen recording after screen recording of me on this livestream talking s**t about Baseball Boy. … Everyone was saying, ‘Alix Earle breaks up with her boyfriend because he would not post her on Instagram,’ and I was so embarrassed because that wasn’t even the reason we broke up.”

Well, it wasn’t the main reason at least. Alix claimed Tyler had been “nice” at the beginning of their relationship. However, things changed and “went downhill super, super fast” when she quickly gained a large following on social media. She said the athlete became very “toxic” and unsupportive of her influencer career:

“He was really nice at first. And then we started dating, and at the same time I started to gain a following on social media, and for some reason, that just sent him spiraling. That was just not OK for him. He would literally be so toxic. Everything I did he s**t on. He did not support me at all, especially when it came to social media stuff.”

It’s a big ick and red flag if he “s**t on” her success! Alix did note that his lack of posting her on social media factored into the break up — only because he lied to her about the reason for it:

“We had only been dating for three months, I would not expect anyone to post me on their Instagram at that point. But the problem was that he would lie straight to my face about this reasoning, and that’s what bothered me.”

After everything piled up, she decided they should go their separate ways. When Alix faced backlash for her first explanation for the breakup, she decided not to clarify and share the full story. At the time she was still getting used to her newfound fame and didn’t know how to handle the controversy. So instead of addressing the situation head-on, she recalled she “went into hiding,” began “mentally spiraling,” and saw her doctor about her anxiety. Although Alix regretted how she went about the split back then, after a year of reflection, she no longer feels that way – which is why she’s explaining what happened now:

“Now as I’ve taken a year off from talking about this subject, I’ve realized that there are so many bad, horrible things that have gone down in that relationship that I’m like, ‘You know what, air it out, Alix.’”

And now despite how they started off controversially, she has found a new man who fully supports her social media career – Braxton. Alix added:

“The fact that NFL Man now supports me and lets me edit a video on my phone without screaming at me is pretty nice to see.”

In a new Vogue article following her nuptials with her MLB star partner Cole Tucker, the High School Musical alum broke down how their February engagement turned into a magical ceremony just 10 months later. And it was no easy feat! In the interview, which dropped on Wednesday, the actress explained:

“The planning process was definitely overwhelming. I knew I’d never been to a wedding that I’ve wanted my own wedding to be like, so I had to think out of the box. Finding a venue was the hardest part.”

The 34-year-old didn’t like the idea of a classic beach, barn, or ballroom venue — she wanted something totally different that would speak to her avant-gardé style — and she found just what she was looking for in the Mayan jungles of Mexico.

Guests were trekked out 45-minutes into the jungle for the ceremony, but the Spring Breakers alum knew it was worth every second of the trip. The jungles of Tulum weren’t the only thing she fell in love with upon her first view, though. According to Vanessa, she fell in love with Cole all over again as she walked down the aisle and saw him in his suit standing at the altar. Calling it “the most emotional moment” of her life, she said:

“I literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor.”

The intimate ceremony was attended by 100 of the pair’s family members and closest friends and celebrations only lasted until 11pm, but the new Mrs. Tucker couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. She described the entire venue as feeling “like a set” while they were surrounded by nature, with “bouquets of flowers hanging from the trees above”.

Cole even took it upon himself to mix a special playlist for their friend who DJ’d the event, and added in an original song for the night called Cole and V. After all the dancing was over, guests ended the night with pizza and grilled cheese for dinner. Sweet!

Looking back on her wedding night, Vanessa said the weekend was “magical” — and that she even took guests’ phones away so they’d live in the moment:

“It was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life. I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding, and it helped that I took everyone’s phones away … Seeing that and bringing everyone together and celebrating us, it was just so magical. Literally talking about it right now, I’m getting teary-eyed. I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”

Considering Evan’s account is private, and all fans had to go on was this one grab, it left everyone with a lot of questions. Another piece of evidence pointing in the direction of a possible matrimony was Vanessa’s High School Musical bestie Monique Coleman posting a photo of a beach sunset to her Stories that looked a lot like the location the photo was set in. So perhaps loved ones were descending for a ceremony??

She asked Vanessa straight up if she planned on taking her man’s last name.

In a stunning new investigative feature published by ESPN on Wednesday, A-Rat A-Rod is reportedly the one who told officials about two MLB stars who were illegally using performance enhancing drugs back in the day! Per years-old Drug Enforcement Administration docs uncovered by the outlet, it was none other than the superstar third baseman who flipped on his peers when MLB came looking for an informant! Jeez!!

So, the ins and outs of the story get pretty complicated, but basically, A-Rod met with two US Department of Justice attorneys and seven (!) DEA agents in January of 2014. That meeting came right before the MLB season in which the New York Yankees star was suspended for his own PED issues, and it was to give the feds one thing: NAMES! Presumably to save himself some time…

During their top-secret sit-down, which only just came to light on Wednesday, A-Rod informed agents about his conversations with Anthony Bosch. As baseball fans know, Bosch is the man behind Biogenesis, a disgraced sports performance company that was caught up as a distributor in part of MLB’s PED scandal throughout the 2000s.

Well, A-Rod told the feds that Bosch had mentioned to him the names of THREE players who were said to be Biogenesis’ PED clients. That list included outfielder Manny Ramirez (pictured above, bottom right), who was retired at the time, and third baseman Ryan Braun (pictured above, top right) of the Milwaukee Brewers. Interestingly, the third player A-Rod flipped on to the feds never tested positive for banned substances during his career, so ESPN didn’t out him in their report. Oops!

The weird thing is that PED use by both Ramirez and Braun was already known to MLB officials at that point. Ramirez had been suspended for 50 games in 2009 when he was a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers for a PED violation. Then, in 2011, he got hit with a 100-game suspension while he was playing for the Tampa Bay Rays. He chose to retire instead of serving that punishment, though. As for Braun, he had already been suspended for more than half of the 2013 season with Milwaukee because of PED violations.

But A-Rod’s rat job in January 2014 wasn’t to MLB officials — it was to the feds. Government agencies were trying to get to the bottom of the legal aspects of the Biogenesis scandal at the time, and how that company may have been involved in the sale and transport of controlled substances like performance-enhancing drugs. The feds didn’t care as much about the baseball side. So, A-Rod’s decision to flip on his peers potentially carried some serious legal weight!!

Also!!! During that chat with the feds, A-Rod had an attorney sit in on the meeting: Joe Tacopina. If you’re clued into American politics, you likely know that name already. Tacopina has been one of former President Donald Trump‘s go-to lawyers in recent years on various civil lawsuits and other matters in New York.

The company you keep…

Anyways, with Tacopina by his side, A-Rod was given “Queen For A Day” immunity by the feds. That’s a colloquialism that basically means nothing the Yankees slugger said in that meeting would be held against him. No matter what it was! His 2014 season-long suspension had already been announced by then, so he wasn’t worried about missing more games. And the feds made it clear they weren’t going go after him for anything legally. They just wanted names. And names he gave!!

Per the ESPN report, this meeting was also technically the first-ever time A-Rod admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs during his career. He pinned that purchase connection on Bosch and Biogenesis. At his heaviest use, A-Rod said he wound up paying more than $12,000 per month for various testosterone creams, lozenges that contained human growth hormone, and more substances from 2010 through the end of the 2012 season.

In the end, the feds didn’t end up going after Ramirez or Braun, either. But they did wholeheartedly pursue one A-Rod tip-off from that meeting: his own cousin Yuri Sucart. Rodriguez told the DEA and DOJ that Sucart helped him obtain PEDs for years until accountants picked up on the cousin’s frivolous spending of A-Rod’s dough. The MLB vet fired his cousin in 2012, after which point Sucart turned around and demanded a $5 million cash payment to keep from going to the media about the PED purchases.

So, by early 2014, with his on-field suspension already in place, A-Rod was more than ready to rat out Sucart, too. He named that name as well, and Yuri eventually served seven months in prison in 2015 after pleading guilty to distributing PEDs. The federal case wound down a few years later after Bosch pled guilty to distributing testosterone via Biogenesis and was sentenced to four years in federal prison, also beginning in 2015.

As for A-Rod, he sat out that entire 2014 season as planned before returning to play the next two seasons with the Yankees. At the end of 2016, he retired and quickly transitioned into a TV gig. That’s interesting, too, because his current television role is as a host of a Sunday Night Baseball simulcast on ESPN2. So, the media org that employs A-Rod is also the one reporting on his old snitch moves.

Awkward!!

UPDATE, 12:42 p.m. PT — According to new updates via TMZ, Urias and the alleged victim were “in a crowd” when a reported witness claimed to have seen the pitcher “get physical with the woman.” Urias had been expected to attend the LAFC soccer match on Sunday night in Los Angeles, but the outlet reports it is “unclear” if that is where the alleged domestic violence incident took place.

Regardless, the Dodgers released a very brief statement about the Mexican-born pitcher’s arrest later on Monday morning, saying:

“We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urías. While we attempt to learn all the facts, he will not be traveling with the team. The organization has no further comment at this time.”

Superstar Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested on felony domestic violence charges in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

According to a report from TMZ Sports, the lefty hurler was taken into custody “in the LA area” after 11:00 p.m. local time on Sunday evening. He was transported to a Los Angeles County jail, where he was officially booked very early on Monday morning.

The specifics of the allegation against Urias are still unclear. The pitcher reportedly posted a $50,000 bond and was released on his own recognizance about four hours after he was booked. Now, he next has a court date coming in late September to further address the matter.

Urias was born in Mexico and has been with the Dodgers since he signed as a 16-year-old in June 2012. Sadly, this is not the first domestic violence allegation against him in recent years. In May 2019, Urias was allegedly involved in a domestic incident at the Beverly Center in Beverly Hills. He was accused of pushing a woman he was at the mall with at the time.

When cops investigated that claim further, the woman asserted she merely fell down. Prosecutors did not charge the pitcher in that case. He was still suspended for 20 games by Major League Baseball, though, which cited a violation of their Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy.

Obviously, with this latest alleged incident, the investigation will continue towards whatever will come from the court date later this month.

The Tampa Bay Rays All-Star has been placed on the team’s restricted list — which basically means he’s been benched indefinitely — after rumors started to swirl that he engaged in a relationship with a minor, according to the Dominican Republic’s attorney general. And we mean a minor.

On Sunday, social media posts seemingly indicated that the 22-year-old had gotten involved with a 14-year-old in his home country… Yes, you read that right. 14 years old. However, the shortstop quickly denied the accusations in an Instagram Live the same day, explaining in Spanish:

“They say that I’m in public with a little girl, that I’m running around with a minor. People don’t know what to do with their time. They don’t know what they’re talking about. That’s why I prefer to be on my side and not get involved with anybody.”

However, this actually isn’t even the first time the athlete had been accused of such an atrocity.

Dominican newspaper Diario Libre reported on Monday that a complaint was filed against Franco last month by a 17-year-old girl, citing the attorney general’s office in Baní, Franco’s hometown. But the outlet made it clear in their report that the accusations made on Sunday, which triggered the investigation, are separate from last month’s.

Wow… Back-to-back months of accusations do NOT bode well for the baseball player. Nor does the fact the DA feels they’re strong enough allegations they’ve opened a very real investigation! And they aren’t the only ones.

The attorney general’s office officially told the Associated Press on Monday that “there are investigations regarding that matter,” leading the MLB to initiate an investigation of their own. On Sunday after the social media allegations began surfacing, the Rays addressed the situation in an official statement:

“During today’s game, we were made aware of the social media posts that are circulating regarding Wander Franco. We take the situation seriously and are in close contact with Major League Baseball as it conducts its due diligence.”

At the time, Rays manager Kevin Cash explained the move was “just a day off” for the player, but a day later the team announced a mutual agreement for Franco to “take leave from the club for the duration of the current road trip.”

As of now, the leave of absence is tentatively in place until August 22, but depending on the investigation’s findings, Franco could face suspension — at the very LEAST — according to the Tampa Bay Times. The Rays added in a follow-up statement:

“We support any steps taken by the league to better understand the situation. Out of respect for all parties involved, we have no further comments at this time.”
