On Facebook over the weekend, Travis Kelce‘s dad took aim at Elon Musk, saying he’d been banned for life from X (Twitter)! Why?? That part isn’t totally clear. The claim came in a post Saturday in which Ed shared a Newsmax article claiming Houthi arms dealers had been selling weapons on the social media platform. In the post, he said:

“Arms dealers are free to peddle their wares on X, but I’m banned for life and they won’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms Of Service’ violation.”

On Sunday, after media started picking up on the story he’d been banned, he made another post to clarify the arms dealer thing was just to make a point.

The NFL father said he only shared this article because he was annoyed that he got banned when alleged illegal activity was still taking place there:

“Let me try and clear something up here. I’m rarely on Facebook or Instagram. I get Google alerts in my email about articles mentioning the boys and remotely post them to Facebook for friends and family to see. I posted the thing about arms dealers active on X because frankly, I was pissed at Elon’s trolls.”

Ed says he just wanted to “highlight the hypocrisy of these social media turds” by showing how easily they ban regular, harmless people. He went on to say he was rarely on the app at all when he took the alleged ban, so he assumes he “was hacked”:

“I rarely wrote anything on X; I just followed sports reporters. It’s handy during games to hear what those guys have to say, particularly at stadiums where you don’ have commentators the way you do watching on TV. I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading others’ posts. Apparently the X Twits believe I posted something contrary to their rules in May or June 2023. Never happened. I’m guessing I was hacked, as the platform isn’t all that secure. My comments when I started this conversation were merely to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media turds.”

Then again, Musk’s free speech push hasn’t exactly attempted to be “fair” at all. We don’t know anything about Houthi arms dealers, but just try typing the word “cisgender” in response to someone sharing a Nazi talking point or the N-word to see what we mean.

Khelif is suing the X (Twitter) owner and the Harry Potter author for “acts of aggravated cyber harassment,” according to a new report published by Variety on Tuesday afternoon.

As you may recall, Khelif — who won the gold medal in women’s boxing in the 66-kilogram weight division at the Paris Olympics this summer — was the recipient of TONS of online hate throughout the Games this year. That hate came about from a torrent of digital abuse over her perceived gender. Khelif was born female and does not identify as transgender or intersex, but people on X and other platforms were ruthless and relentless in their incorrect accusations that she was a man who was unfairly beating up other women during the competition.

The attacks online were made worse when high-profile public figures jumped into the fray. Rowling specifically accused the boxer of being a man in one X post, and said Khelif was “enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head” following her bout with Italian boxer Angela Carini. In another baseless post, high-profile swimmer Riley Gaines claimed that “men don’t belong in women’s sports.” To that, Musk re-posted the message with his follow-up, “absolutely.” Even Donald Trump posted online that he would “protect women’s sports” regarding the hubbub.

And now, Khelif wants redress for the torrent of hate that she faced. Variety received a statement from the Paris Prosecutor’s Office, specifically via their National Center for the Fight Against Online Hatred, which confirmed it had received Khelif’s legal complaint:

“On Aug. 13, (The National Center for the Fight Against Online Hatred) contacted the OCLCH (Central Office for the Fight Against Crimes Against Humanity and Hate Crimes) to conduct an investigation into the counts of cyber harassment due to gender, public insult because of gender, public incitement to discrimination and public insult because of origin.”

Based on French law, because the lawsuit was filed against X itself — as a business entity, it is defined as “unknown persons” — the prosecution has “all the latitude to be able to investigate against all people” on the matter, per that organization. That means lawyers can go after people like Musk, Gaines, Trump, and Rowling who posted hateful messages under their own accounts or under pseudonyms. Khelif’s attorney, Nabil Boudi, stated:

“J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk are named in the lawsuit, among others. Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution. What we’re asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary. If the case goes to court, they will stand trial.”

The lawsuit was filed in France, as noted, but Boudi claimed that it “could target personalities overseas,” too. Musk, Trump, Gaines, and Rowling are all obviously not French, so this lawsuit would have to do that considering that it names them specifically.

Variety also spoke to Khelif’s boxing coach with Team Algeria, Pedro Diaz. He told the outlet that the cyber bullying “incredibly affected her… and everyone around her.” Diaz added:

“The first time she fought in the Olympics, there was this crazy storm outside of the ring. I had never seen anything so disgusting in my life.”

Donald Trump did an unhinged interview with Elon Musk on Monday night, and when Elon’s tech wasn’t crashing, Donny was.

The 78-year-old downplayed climate change and wildly inflated the crime rate — but all that is expected at this point. Even his expectation that “60 million” people were listening to their conversation (the real number was about 1.3 million at peak) is pretty de rigueur for Trump. Always delulu about his crowd size.

But this one… This was a REALLY bonkers comment…

Trump lisped through the interview about his opponent Kamala Harris, though many listening swore he kept calling her “Camilla.” At one point he brought up her new Time magazine cover. This one…

His hot take? She looks like Melania Trump! WHAT?!? Trump said:

“She’s terrible. But she’s getting a free ride. I saw a picture of her on Time magazine today. She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live. It was a drawing, and actually, she looked very much like our great first lady, Melania.”

Um… this Melania??

Yeah, we do NOT see it. But then again, Trump also confused his sexual abuse victim E. Jean Carroll for ex-wife Marla Maples Trump, so it’s clear he’s losing it when it comes to telling women apart. He added:

“She didn’t look like Camilla. That’s right. But of course, she’s a beautiful woman, so we’ll leave it at that.”

We’re not even sure what that’s supposed to mean. The drawing is an excellent likeness of Kamala. If he thinks she’s beautiful, that’s fine — though obviously creepy coming from him. But we don’t know how he doesn’t see it, unless…

OK, this is a wild theory, but… What if, because it’s a black-and-white drawing, and there’s no color… What if the fact her being Black was taken out of the equation means suddenly he sees that she’s “a beautiful woman”? What if he’s so racist, he literally can’t see that IRL? So he only calls her “dumb” and “nasty” and all that because he’s an old ass racist who thinks that way about women of color?

Just a theory, but… How else do you explain this totally bonkers assessment of her Time cover??

Anyway, the Harris campaign did respond to Trump’s convo with Musk, writing in a statement:

“Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com. Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself – self-obsessed rich guys who sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

Bowen’s been on the show since 2018, so there are quite a few people he could’ve been talking about!

But, naturally, Dave Chappelle comes to mind considering the awkward moment they shared on stage last season. In January as host Dakota Johnson closed out her episode, the stand-up star randomly appeared on stage — and Bowen stood far off in the corner with his arms crossed. Look (below)!

Considering Dave’s harmful LGBTQ+ remarks over the years, it seemed like Bowen may have been making a point, but the Fire Island star hit back at the speculation weeks ago, telling Variety in June:

“I stand where I always stand on good nights. It was not a physical distance that anyone was creating. It had to do with so many things that were completely internal.”

When asked if he was happy with Dave’s appearance, he replied:

“It was about other people’s response in the show. I was just confused, that was it.”

Feels like a pretty diplomatic response.

Kenan Thompson also stood up for his pal, saying that it was “jarring” to see the headlines about Bowen and Dave, but he did admit that everyone was confused at The Nutty Professor alum’s appearance since he wasn’t part of that episode.

Hmm…

While Dave wasn’t the host that week, he did host in 2022, during which he reportedly tricked the whole production into airing a controversial opening monologue! So it certainly seems possible he may be the person Bowen’s calling out!

For the record, a few hosts have been called out for bad behavior over the years. Steven Seagal was a legendary bad host the entire cast hated. More recently, Pete Davidson has also called out one specific person he worked with on the show — SNL vet Chevy Chase! He called the Vacation star a “genuinely bad, racist person” during an interview on The Howard Stern Show. Chevy starred in the first two seasons of the show before returning as the host several times.

But all that was before Bowen was cast on the NBC hit. So we’re at square one again. Hmm. Maybe it was Elon Musk? Bowen did call him out on social media the week he hosted:

As you may have seen, the 20-year-old has been calling out her billionaire father over some nasty claims he’s made about her, such as saying she was dead to him after being killed by the “woke mind virus” after she transitioned following her 18th birthday. The whole thing has been super s**tty! And she’s not done clapping back!

On Sunday night, Vivian took to Threads to put author Walter Isaacson on blast for the way he portrayed her in his biography of the Tesla founder. She began:

“To Walter Isaacson, you threw me to the wolves in what was one of the most humiliating experiences of my entire life.”

Jeez.

She continued:

“Elon was your darling Tony Stark apartheid-american hero with a semi-tragic backstory who was saving the world and you were too f**king cowardly to write anything other than a sad excuse for a puff-piece. To further this goal, you portrayed me in a light that is genuinely defamatory and I’m not going to mince my words.”

And she didn’t!!! She dished:

“I was treated as a VILLAIN BACKSTORY-ORIGIN to excuse or explain away [Musk’s] behavior. As if my whole existence was nothing but an inconvenience to HIM. God bless the poor soul who abused his child, that must be so f**king hard for him. I was deadnamed, and misgendered for no conceivable reason and made to seem like I was just too stupid or too ‘communist’ or too brainwashed or too what-f**king-ever to understand the 4d chess behind the reasons I was traumatized.”

Vivian added that her identity was “trivialized,” noting:

“My identity was trivialized, my reasons for separation were misconstrued, and I was treated as naïve; stupid, unfairly unforgiving and unreasonably moralistic. Worst of all, this was the section that was released early as part of the ‘promo’ because you knew it would catch headlines as part of this culture war bulls**t. You knew that conservatives and ‘reactionaries’ would take this and run as far as they could with it to get clicks, or to smear my name for their own self interests.”

The book, Elon Musk, was published in September 2023 by Simon & Schuster, but an excerpt hit The Wall Street Journal weeks before the publication, in which the author said Elon’s “anti-woke sentiments” had been “partly triggered by the decision of his oldest child” to transition, referring to Vivian by the name she’d been assigned at birth.

Vivian now claims that she was never consulted over the book — despite it being fairly easy for Walter to get in touch. She argued:

“I was never asked, interviewed, or contacted to say anything for this poor excuse of pages you call a book. I know that you claim that you ‘reached out to me through family members’ but I found out about this thing’s existence literally a MONTH before it was released. So either you are completely f**king incompetent at the most basic aspects of your ‘job’, or you are weaponizing your own lack of effort to try to lift the blame off of yourself because you knew damn well what you were doing.”

She suggested that Walter “deliberately failed because [he] knew the angle [he] were going for, and that [her] testimony would’ve f**ked up [his] pretty little portrayal of an irredeemable human being.” Call him out!!! She continued:

“I was content to sit in my silence up until now and to be your queer villain. You knew that I was gonna be used as an example of ‘how the children are being brainwashed by the trans agenda’ because you did it yourself and then proceeded to blast it to every news organization to use as an ad to sell more copies. The fact that this book may have been used as justification by parents to not let their trans child obtain potentially life-saving medical treatment f**king HAUNTS me. It always will.”

Oof. That’s AWFUL — especially since she had nothing to do with this narrative! None of this is her fault, and yet it is still a nightmare, she furthered:

“I’ve been waiting on talking about this subject because it genuinely hurts so much to remember. That memory of sobbing my eyes out in a dormitory worrying that I didn’t have a future because of the damage this thing did to my reputation will forever stay with me. You, your editors, and your publisher are a f**king joke for letting this thing be released into the public. I had to see posters of this thing for MONTHS afterwards.”

She concluded by pointing out one major fact check he failed to do, clarifying that she goes by “Vivian” and that only her friends and mother Justine Wilson call her “Jenna.” She finished:

“If you genuinely knew what you were talking about that’s how you would’ve referred to me. It is genuinely impressive that you somehow managed to find a way to even f**k up my NAME. I think that goes to show how much research actually went into this. I am not letting this narrative continue any further.”

Of course, Imane is “very happy” about her accomplishment. According to CNN, she said after the fight:

“For eight years, this has been my dream and I’m now the Olympic champion and gold medallist, I’ve worked for eight years, no sleep, eight years tired. Now I’m Olympic champion. I want to thank all the people who have come to support me. All the people from Algeria and all the people at my base. I want to thank all the team, my coach. Thank you so much.”

Amazing!!! What makes her big win even sweeter? It’s the ultimate eff you to all the bullies out there! As you know, Imane has been fighting it out in and out of the ring as she faced intense online bullying from people like Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling. During a preliminary match, Imane was up against Italian boxer Angela Carini. However, Angela abandoned their bout just 46 seconds in. She claimed she was punched so hard she didn’t want to continue the fight, even going as far as to say she felt more “pain” than when she trained with men.

Well, the match sparked a ton of online abuse toward Imane, all because of those comments. Many transphobic people attacked her for being transgender — when she’s not! She is a woman. She was born female. She is not intersex. See, Imane was disqualified from the boxing world championships last year after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test from the International Boxing Association. Mind you, they refused to release the results of their test. This also came after Imane competed FOR YEARS without any issues. And this test doesn’t mean she is a trans woman. She reportedly just had high levels of testosterone and XY chromosomes.

But because she looks masculine, anti-trans folks cruelly bullied her on social media. Well, look who is getting the last laugh now. Imane ignored the awful chatter and came out on top! Oh, and a message for all the haters on the internet! She said after her victory:

“As for whether I qualify or not, or whether I am a woman or not, I have made many statements in the media. I am fully qualified to take part in this competition. I’m a woman like any other woman. I was born a woman, I lived a woman, I competed as a woman, there’s no doubt about that. There are enemies of success, that is what I call them. And that also gives my success a special taste because of these attacks.”

The Tesla founder went on a disturbing transphobic rant about his 20-year-old transgender daughter last month, purposely misgendering her by saying his “son” was dead — “killed by the woke mind virus.” Gross.

Vivian immediately hit back at his disgusting comments, but she isn’t done. It seemed before she was content to distance herself from the controversial businessman as he leaned into dirty politics. (He’s even reportedly under investigation for an apparent fake “voter registration” scheme.) But he brought her back into it. So she’s not letting him get away with his rebrand as some kind of family values Republican.

It started with a video one of his blue check sycophants posted on X (Twitter) to show how much of a priority Elon considers family. Elon responded by saying “all five” of his sons were “super happy”:

Well, this was too much for Vivian.

Like we said, he was the one who started this fight. But she’s going to finish it by the looks of it! She posted a grab of the comment on her Threads, firing back at dear ol’ dad:

“Look, I don’t know if you genuinely believe this or if you live in your own delusional fantasy land and frankly, I don’t care. It seems to me like you’re trying to rebuild your brand image as the ‘caring paternal father’ which I will not let go unchallenged. If I’m going to be honest, this is absolutely pathetic. You just won’t stop lying about me in interviews, books, social media, etc. Thank god you’re absolutely terrible at it because otherwise this would be significantly more difficult. Like… ‘neomarxist/communist who was brainwashed at high school to be trans and ‘think being rich is evil’ is the best you could go with… really? Like….. really?! If you’re going to lie about me, why would you choose a method so obnoxious in its stupidity. It’s beyond stupid, it’s desperate. The fact anyone believed this for even five seconds is beyond me. Not to mention going out of your way to misgender me which is both completely transparent and honestly just sad.”

Then she went for his rebrand — spilling tea about how he can’t hide the fact he’s a womanizing cheater!

“I understand your new angle is this ‘western values/christian family man’ thing but it’s such a weird choice. You are not a family man, you are a serial adulterer who won’t stop f**king lying about your own children.”

Damn! And she also went after the fact, like his pal Donald Trump, he’s just pretending to be a Christian for PR:

It’s true, Elon has been putting on the facade of a pearl-clutching churchgoer — like when he called the Olympics opening ceremony “satanic” because it had trans folks. Meanwhile he’s literally wearing a Baphomet sigil in his profile pic! LOLz! She continued by talking about his racism she’s personally witnessed:

“You are not some ‘bastion for equality/progress’. You called arabic the “language of the enemy” when I was 6, have been sued for discrimation [sic] multiple times, and are from Apartheid South Africa.”

Damn! And she kept pouring!

“You are not ‘saving the planet’, you do not give a f**k about climate change and you’re lying about multi-planetary civilization as both an excuse, and because you want to seem like the CEO from Ready Player One.”

OMG, what a burn! Even calling out his aspirations as being from a pathetically immature! She

If you haven’t been following, the Algerian boxer has been at the center of one of the Olympics worst scandals, in which people like J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk have been attacking her for being trans — even though she’s not! Like, at all!

Here’s the deal. On Thursday, she won a match against Italian boxer Angela Carini, who bowed out after just 46 seconds. Carini claimed she suffered such a hard punch she didn’t want to go any further, suggesting she was in more “pain” than she’d been when training with men. Well, everyone who has been anti-trans, especially in sports, latched on to Angela’s comments and started criticizing Imane’s win.

See, Imane was disqualified from the 2023 boxing world championships after failing an unspecified gender eligibility test from the International Boxing Association — despite having competed for years without problems. And btw, failing this test doesn’t mean she’s a trans woman! She just has high levels of testosterone and supposedly XY chromosomes, according to reports. (Again, this is all from the IBA, who refuse to release the results of their tests.)

But we’re talking about a woman who was born female who has been living as a female, who has a female passport, who is in no way intersex or anything — apart from supposedly failing that test and having high testosterone. Again, it’s something a lot of women have. Even the XY chromosomes don’t mean she’s secretly a man, that’s also something which can happen with women — because real life isn’t a 7th grade biology class. However, the anti-LGBT crowd are jumping on her because she looks masculine, so they’ve made up their minds despite facts. And they won’t let her forget it. They’re even attacking other women who look particularly strong. It’s so gross. Read up on all the drama HERE.

As Imane’s Olympic journey continues, she finally opened up about this controversy in a candid interview with SNTV (a sports video partner of the Associated Press). On Sunday, the 25-year-old said, via translation:

“I send a message to all the people of the world to uphold the Olympic principles and the Olympic Charter, to refrain from bullying all athletes, because this has effects, massive effects.”

Remarking on the very harmful effects of bullying, she continued:

“It can destroy people, it can kill people’s thoughts, spirit and mind. It can divide people. And because of that, I ask them to refrain from bullying.”

She went on to discuss the challenges this scandal has caused both to her and her family while she competes in the biggest event of her career, adding:

“I am in contact with my family two days a week. I hope that they weren’t affected deeply. They are worried about me. God willing, this crisis will culminate in a gold medal, and that would be the best response.”

That would be an AMAZING way to get back at all her haters!

The boxer also sent her thanks to the International Olympic Committee and its president Thomas Bach for standing by her and cutting ties with the International Boxing Association, which was behind her previous disqualification. Per the outlet, Imane declined to specify whether she had undergone tests other than doping tests, noting that she didn’t want to talk about it. But she did express:

“I know that the Olympic Committee has done me justice, and I am happy with this remedy because it shows the truth.”

And while she’s obviously aware of the discourse surrounding her, she is avoiding it as much as possible:

“Honestly, I don’t follow social media. There is a mental health team that doesn’t let us follow social media, especially in the Olympic Games, whether me or other athletes. I’m here to compete and get a good result.”

Good strategy! Who would be able to concentrate with the horrible things people say on Twitter clogging your brain??

Here’s hoping she stays focused on the sport and comes out on top! Her next match will be on Tuesday as she competes in the semifinals. Addressing her emotional quarterfinals win in Saturday’s game, she shared:

“I couldn’t control my nerves. Because after the media frenzy and after the victory, there was a mix of joy and at the same time, I was greatly affected, because honestly, it wasn’t an easy thing to go through at all. It was something that harms human dignity.”

OK, so if you haven’t seen what started the latest controversy at the Paris 2024 Olympics, there was a women’s boxing match between competitors from the countries of Algeria and Italy. Italian Angela Carini withdrew from her fight with Algerian Imane Khelif after just 46 seconds, saying she’d never been hit so hard before and had to “preserve her life.”

Angela was crying after the match and heard saying the match was “unfair” to her coaches. Whoa. She told reporters:

“I couldn’t carry on. I have a big pain in my nose and I said, ‘Stop’. It’s better to avoid keeping going. My nose started dripping from the first hit. It could be the match of my life but, in that moment, I had to safeguard my life, too… I fought very often in the national team. I train with my brother. I’ve always fought against men, but I felt too much pain today.”

But what did she mean about it not being fair? Well, the Algerian boxer was disqualified from the 2023 women’s world championships last year when the International Boxing Association deemed she had failed a gender eligibility test. She had high levels of testosterone and, apparently, XY chromosomes. We’ll come back to that… but for now, you need to know that was all some people needed to hear — because it meant they could continue their anti-trans crusade.

The Anti-Trans Crusaders

Many picked up the torch from Angela and ran with it, setting fire to as much as possible along the way. Familiar trans-obsessives like JK Rowling and Elon Musk have weighed in, along with tons of other online commenters who have been conscripted into the culture wars and whipped up into an anti-LGBT panic.

Rowling, who was once known as a sensitive author of children’s books, believe it or not, posted:

Donald Trump posted that he will “keep men out of women’s sports” — as a caption on a video of the fight, implying he has bought into the idea Khelif is a “man”:

And on and on and on like that. Just droves attacking Imane Khelif, saying since she’s trans she’s actually a man posing as a woman to compete…

Imane’s Actual Condition

But remember when we said we weren’t talking about trans women in sports? That’s the kicker here. Imane Khelif is NOT TRANS! She’s not intersex. She’s not non-binary. She’s a woman. Born female.

Her high testosterone and XY chromosomes caused quite a row with folks who have a strict, black-and-white idea of what makes a man or a woman. Of course, actual biology doesn’t care about these ideas. It’s not actually as simple as you’re taught in the 101 high school level of biology. The human body is complex. Some women have high testosterone levels and even XY chromosomes due to different conditions.

In Imane’s case, she has some differences of sexual development, or DSDs. This is the collective name for a variety of conditions which cause people to develop slightly differently than the basic idea of two sexes — total XX or XY, the exact amount of estrogen or testosterone, etc. But she is a woman. Born a woman, lived as a woman, has female sex organs and genitalia. She just also has very high testosterone for a woman which makes her better at things like putting on muscle.

The International Boxing Association that disqualified her used to oversee Olympic boxing, but no longer. The IBA doesn’t have any sway anymore. Their gender eligibility test was vague and is not considered reasonable by the International Olympic Committee — who are totally satisfied Imane is a woman. The IOC in a statement on Thursday called the IBA’s disqualification an “arbitrary decision, which was taken without any proper procedure — especially considering that these athletes had been competing in top-level competition for many years.” Spokesperson Mark Adams said Friday:

“The Algerian boxer was born female, was registered female, lived her life as a female, boxed as a female, has a female passport.”

Again, THIS IS A WOMAN. FROM BIRTH.

Now, do her biological differences give her an edge? Absolutely. But isn’t that true of men born taller being better at basketball? Track athletes who produce less lactic acid get take longer to get tired. Hell, Michael Phelps is regularly described as a freak of nature as his lung capacity and wingspan seem genetically engineered to make him the perfect swimmer. But at no point did anyone ever say he shouldn’t compete.

By the way, the narrative JK and Elon and others are obviously pushing is one about a man competing in a woman’s sport, right? And dominating due to biological factors? The thing is, not only do the facts of this particular case not match up with what they’re propagating, the stats don’t either!

At the 2020 Olympics, she only made it to the quarterfinals, being defeated by Ireland’s Kellie Harrington. In 2022 she got second place at the Women’s World Boxing Championships. In all she has an amateur record of 37-9. Nine times other women have beaten her. Impressive, for sure, but hardly dominant. But again, that doesn’t fit the narrative, so you won’t hear those stats from the pitchfork-wielding jerks yelling about trans people. Speaking of the mob…

Other Athletes Being Targeted

No, this is all about wanting to attack the trans community. You know that old saying, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail? Well, when all you have is bigotry, everything apparently looks like trans women.

Imane is not the only athlete being attacked as actually being “a man.” Over the past couple days, rugby star Ilona Maher, who led the USA to gold, has been called trans, a man in drag, and more. Why? She’s built stronger and tougher than a lot of guys. She’s glorious and gorgeous — but she doesn’t fit the super narrow definition of what these folks have decided a woman is.

Ilona posted a video in which she described in tears the attacks she gets online:

“I get comments being called a man and being called masculine and asking if i’m on steroids. There will always be negative people out there. And they put women in a box. And they think women should be fragile and petite and quiet and meek. But that’s not the case.”

You know who else is getting the same treatment? Gold medal swimmer Katie Ledecky! Yes, really!

Same BS, she’s buff and therefore doesn’t fit a bunch of insecure men’s idea of a woman…

JK and Elon and their ilk have turned this into a new Red Scare, but instead of communists the mob are calling everyone secret trans women. It’s really gross what they’re doing. And dangerous.

Important to note: Imane comes from Algeria, an extremely conservative country. Being gay or trans is illegal. You know, much like Trump and JD Vance would like to make it in this country. This means if the boxer’s home country did buy into all these online accusations they could imprison her. This BS isn’t just hurting her chances of finishing out the Olympics, it’s actually endangering her life and her freedom.

The Apology

One last note… Angela Carini, the woman who kind of started all this? She’s actually really upset about that! She told Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport, per the BBC:

“All this controversy makes me sad. I’m sorry for my opponent, too. If the IOC said she can fight, I respect that decision.”

She even specifically apologized for not shaking Imane’s hand after the fight:

“It wasn’t something I intended to do. Actually, I want to apologize to her and everyone else. I was angry because my Olympics had gone up in smoke.”

Angela said if she saw her opponent again, she would “embrace her.”

Even the woman who fought her, the woman who got beaten so badly, recognizes her fellow competitor is a woman. The person for whom it matters most. All these crusaders, who have no expertise or skin in the game, and who really are just exploring their obsession some more…? They’re nominally in the corner of someone who TOTALLY DISAGREES WITH THEM!

Like we said, trans athletes taking part in sports is a tricky wicket. We don’t know what the answer is ultimately. We do know it’s the area these transphobes attack the most because it’s the most difficult. Because if they just attacked Joe or Jenny Q. Trans out here, just knitting or doing carpentry or playing video games or trying to figure out which pineapple is ripe? They don’t have a damn leg to stand on. They know they’ll just come across as weirdos attacking normal people trying to live their lives. So this is what they do. Even when there’s no trans athlete to attack…
