Nearly one year after Matthew Perry’s accidental ketamine overdose, arrests have been made in connection with his death.
When the late Friends alum passed away in 2023, the initial belief was that it was due to a heart attack. But months later, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed “the acute effects of ketamine” were actually to blame for making him fall unconscious before his subsequent drowning in his hot tub.
It was shocking news in the wake of reports that he was finally clean and sober after years of addiction issues, and the Los Angeles Police Department made it their mission to find who was responsible for getting him the drugs. And in June, they told People that their investigation was “nearing its conclusion” and that “multiple people” would be charged. And now, two months later, that’s exactly what’s happened.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that several arrests have been made… Including at least one doctor and multiple dealers! What an alleged gross misuse of power on the doctor’s part! Law enforcement sources told the outlet that search warrants were executed, with computers, phones, and other electronic devices all being seized. Apparently, there were texts discovered relating to the Fools Rush In star, the ketamine he desired, and how the suspects were planning to get it to him. The messages also reportedly revealed how much Matthew was willing to pay for said illegal drugs.
Wow…
As we’ve previously reported, officers showed up at Charlie Sheen’s ex Brooke Mueller’s sober living residence back in May with a search warrant in connection with the case, but that female was apparently not among the suspects arrested. The outlet also reported that in addition to the LAPD, the DEA and US Postal Service were involved in the investigation.
