Shannen Doherty Officially Granted Divorce After Death

Shannen Doherty’s divorce from her ex-husband has finally been approved… Two days after her death.

The late Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and her now ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko have officially been “restored to the status of single persons,” according to legal docs obtained by multiple outlets. As we’ve been following, Shannen filed for divorce last year after allegedly catching Kurt cheating just before she had to go in for a brain operation amid her cancer battle. It was a long legal road as she felt her ex was stalling in an attempt to wait out her eventual death so he wouldn’t have to pay alimony, but the pair finally settled on Friday — one day before she passed away. And revealed in the court docs that were officially signed off on by a judge on Monday is everything granted to both parties.

Per the divorce agreement, Shannen’s estate will keep her and Kurt’s marital home in Malibu with all of its furnishings and art, including a Salvador Dali painting. She was also granted 100 percent of multiple accounts, including her SAG pension, and rights to half of Kurt’s photography empire.

Kurt got to keep multiple vehicles, guitars, a record player, and was ordered to buy out Shannen’s interest in some of his assets, including a Mooney M-20 plane, and $10,000 for photography equipment. He was also ordered to wipe all photos of the Charmed star from his website to skirt him from “exploiting” her image after her death. The docs state:

“Any and all photographs of [Shannen] that are now in [Kurt’s] possession, regardless of when said photographs were created by [Kurt], shall be removed from Respondent’s website forthwith. [Kurt] shall oversee the removal of said photographs from the websites of any and all of his representatives, including his agents. [Kurt] shall be prohibited from exploiting the photographs of [Shannen].”

The exes also agreed to sell several assets, including their home in Texas and their Camarillo Airport hangar, and to split the proceeds. Kurt additionally waived his right to be a rep for Shannen’s estate or to “elect to take community or quasi-community property against the decedent’s will.” The exes both waived rights to inheritance and social security benefits.

Sadly, Shannen was referred to in the past tense in the docs, reflecting her untimely death.
