Kanye West isn’t afraid to get real.
On Friday, the rapper went on Twitter to open up about his past suicidal thoughts after watching the documentary McQueen, about the life of late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

I saw the Alexander McQueen documentary and I connected with his journey. I know how it feels to want to take your life back into your own hands even if it means taking your own life.

In late 2016, West was hospitalized for a mental breakdown.
McQueen passed away from suicide in February 2010 at the age of 39.
