Prince Archie is 5 — can you believe it??
The young royal celebrated his birthday on Monday with the help of his famous parents. According to People, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kept things super simple this year. While it’s unclear exactly what they got up to, the outlet learned they celebrated privately before the 39-year-old headed to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. That’s nice they all got to be together… for some of the day at least.
Harry arrived in the UK early Tuesday morning… and it’s a 10+ hour flight, so… logically Harry had to jet out of there before Archie’s bday was over, probably some time Monday afternoon/early evening. It seems the poor little guy’s big day always falls on busy days for his dad.

As Perezcious readers will recall, last year, Archie’s birthday coincided with King Charles III‘s coronation, causing the Spare author to miss out on the special day (though he rushed home after the ceremony to be there for the last few hours of his son’s birthday). Meghan, on the other hand, stayed home and celebrated with friends and her mom Doria Ragland.
This year, Archie’s birthday comes once again during a busy week for the family! As mentioned, Harry quickly flew to England after the family festivities and the Suits alum won’t be far behind him, traveling to Nigeria to meet up with her husband later this week.
Seemingly due to the royal rift, Archie did not receive any public well-wishes from his royal relatives, either. Bummer! We hope he had a great birthday regardless! And who knows, maybe he got private phone calls…
