Amid her feud with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, the 37-year-old actress has faced a ton of backlash on social media over the past few weeks. It isn’t just the IEWU promo stuff — several old interviews painting her in a pretty bad light have resurfaced. And it isn’t over yet! Fans slammed Blake for another one of her interviews, this time for a comment she made 10 years ago during a Vogue “73 Questions” video!

In the footage, posted in July 2014, the interviewer asks which movie she “laughed the hardest through.” And her reply? NOT a comedy! She said with a completely straight face:

“Shawshank Redemption.”

What?! The Shawshank Redemption is not a laugh riot! We’re talking about a tearjerker about men doing everything they can to endure a hellish, unfair prison system. Fantastic movie, one of the best. But not a comedy.

In her defense, it sounds like Blake was attempting to be funny here. However, fans did not take it that way! When a social media user posted the clip on TikTok this month, people swarmed the comments section to drag Blake. Some thought she was genuinely being sociopathic, others just thought her humor was falling flat. See what fans thought of her little joke (below):

Despite low scores from the judges each week, the pair went very far in the show! A lot further than anyone expected! In fact, they placed third during the finale! Of course, her dodging elimination for weeks and ending up in the top three shocked and infuriated viewers! Even her fellow competitors — and the pros — were irritated by the outcome! And one person in particular wasn’t afraid to make sure Bristol knew their feelings about it, according to the 33-year-old reality star! (FYI, she later returned to the show for the all-stars season, where she and Mark were eliminated in week four.)

During an appearance on former DWTS pro Cheryl Burke’s Sex, Lies and Spray Tans podcast Monday, Bristol claimed Maksim Chmerkovskiy didn’t like her at all! Whoa! When the 40-year-old dancer asked who “rolled their eyes” at her and Mark every time she survived elimination, she replied:

“Oh, who? Maks? He hated me so much. I don’t know why [he didn’t like me]. Probably just because we kept going through. I mean, he was real nice in the beginning, but it was one of those things where as we kept going through. I definitely felt the tension from him. I forgot about that. Yeah, because the further we went along in it, the more it was like, ‘Oh gosh, okay.’”

Maks and his partner Brandy were the frontrunners of the season and then kicked off right before the finale. So yeah, we can see why he was probably very frustrated that Bristol and Mark made it through each week!

But as for whether he “hated” her? A rep for the dancer told People that’s simply not true. They said:

“Maks doesn’t hate anybody and he’s never hated Bristol. His bad boy reputation was overblown by the media at the time. He was really good at dancing and he was really competitive, which are two important qualities you need to be on Dancing with the Stars. Maks was disappointed because he and Brandy were on their way to win that year. He and everyone else in America were taken by surprise.”

In Friday’s episode of the late actress’ podcast Let’s Be Clear, Rose reflected on the pair’s friendship, her biggest regrets, and the last time she saw Shannen before she died from cancer. As Perezcious readers know, the pair had a complicated relationship after Rose replaced Shannen on Charmed, showing up to play the Halliwells’ half-sister, Paige Matthews, beginning in 2001. Of course, that was the same year Shannen (AKA Prue Halliwell) was fired amid a rift with co-star Alyssa Milano.

In the podcast episode, Rose noted that at the time she “joined Charmed [she] did not understand the backstory” and was “just trying to keep [her] head above water.” She explained “they made it sound like she was difficult,” elaborating elsewhere:

“I was just told she was fired and nobody talked about her. […] I was very famous at that point, but I was persona non grata, non-hirable. I caused disruptions everywhere I went. This is something that Shannen [and I] later talked about that she related to: the weight of what it’s like to have the media machine lie about you.”

Despite pressure, Rose refused to lean into the “war” everyone wanted her to start with Shannen:

“From the get go, every question was like, ‘Do you think Shannen Doherty hates you?’ ‘Do you think she’s jealous of you?’ ‘What do you think?’ And I refused to take the bait. They wanted me to start a war with her, and I was like, absolutely not. And to her credit, she absolutely did not do that either.”

Because of their history, many assumed they were in a bad place at the time of Shannen’s death. But it was actually quite the opposite! McGowan shared that they had been on good terms for a while — except the whole thing played out in private. This is one of Rose’s big regrets right now, as she candidly shared:

“I do regret not doing the podcast with her, but at the same time, I think because so much of our relationship had played out publicly, that to have that period of time just for us was really special.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum died at age 53 in July after a years-long cancer battle. Now, Rose regrets that she didn’t have more time with Shannen, too. She added:

“I wish I could have gotten to know her sooner. I don’t know how that would have happened, but I wish we could have. We both despised corporate feminism, as I call it, like slogans, and fake activists, and people that are just doing it for the clicks and the glory, but without actually putting in the work and the trauma that it takes to do that work.”

The Jawbreaker star acknowledged that she and Shannen were very similar, including in the way they both preferred directing to acting. Rose recalled:

“She really lived so many lives in one life, and that I certainly relate to. I know a lot of us can, but she lived life on a grand scale with gusto and just badass fun. One of the things we learned, I think, from each other by being outspoken was actually how much more similar we were than different.”

As for their last interaction, Rose recalled:

“About a month before she died, we got to be together just alone, just me and her, for the first time ever, and for the first time in 25 years. It was so cool, and we just actually didn’t want the night to end. And it was both wholesome and — that word is so dorky, but here we are. It was sweet.”

Aw! The precious alone time they shared was the perfect opportunity for them to heal old wounds and grow closer, she noted:

“She told me stuff that I’d never known, and I told her stuff that she didn’t know. And she had some questions for me, and I answered them and vice versa.”

This get-together was also the first time the Scream alum, 50, learned Shannen was preparing to try a new “experimental treatment” for her health condition prior to passing. She reflected:

“I had a feeling when she said about the treatment, I just had this feeling that this was not really going to go well, and she looked frightened for the first time. She was frightened. And I gave her a big hug, and I told her I loved her.”

Their time together may have been cut short, but at least Rose was able to tell Shannen just how she felt while she still could! That in and of itself is a bittersweet gift. So glad they were on good terms and shared such special moments before this tragic death, even despite the regrets that Rose has now in how things played out around them.

An insider told Dailymail.com on Saturday that Blake fears the scandal will hurt her chances at landing jobs in the future! In her eyes, according to the outlet, this very well could be the “end of her career!” Whoa! The source explained:

“Blake is definitely saddened by the hate she is getting and is trying not to let it affect her, but it is. She thought this was her moment to shine but is now looking at it like the end of her career. She’s fearing no one will want to work with her after this. She really wants to continue producing and directing and acting, but she knows she needs to take a step back for a minute to reassess the future.”

It sounds like we won’t see or hear from Blake for a while! Or at least until the dust settles! Perhaps there is some truth to those rumors circulating that she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, are fleeing Hollywood to move to North Carolina to wait out the storm. Hmm. Only time will tell if the Green Lantern star’s career is over for good due to this scandal. One thing we do know is that Blake should not plan on having the sequel to IEWU lined up if no other projects come her way these days! Before the Colleen Hoover book adaptation hit theaters earlier this month, rumors of a beef between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni spread online as she refused to do any promo or speak about her co-star (who was also the film’s director). It was quickly clear that he was also getting shut out by the rest of the cast.

We still don’t 100% know what went down on that set, but most sources have agreed this feud has something to do with creative differences. There are also allegations that the Gossip Girl alum was rude and overbearing (as evidenced by resurfaced interview clips), and claims that the Jane the Virgin star was “borderline abusive,” making the set an uncomfortable place to be, especially for the leading lady.

So far, Brandon Sklenar is the only one who has directly addressed the controversy. Without clarifying the feud rumors, he stood up for Blake online this week, bashing the way the actress and other women on set have been “vilified.”  Nevertheless, it’s clear there’s a big rift among this cast — and it may be SO bad that it could stop the possibility of a sequel!

If you don’t know, It Ends With Us was followed by It Starts With Us, which chronicles Lily Bloom’s romance with Atlas (aka Blake, and Brandon) while navigating co-parenting with Justin’s character Ryle. The first film has already made more than $200 million globally, so a sequel would normally be a no-brainer. But with the Five Feet Apart director being such an integral part of the first film and at the center of this ongoing drama, it may be impossible to make the next one! Uh-oh!

DailyMail.com got the scoop on Thursday with sources claiming that the future of the franchise is in jeopardy, sharing:

“It’s hard to imagine Justin wanting to work with Blake — or vice versa — after all this bad blood. Whatever started this feud, there certainly has been no obvious rapprochement between the pair.”

If the cast can’t stand to be near the director or even acknowledge his existence during the press tour, how are they expected to interact on a film set again?? It does seem pretty impossible. But that’s not even the biggest problem!!!

You see, Justin wasn’t just an actor, producer, or director… he also owns the rights! Justin’s production company secured the film rights for the first book, and according to insiders, he already bought the rights to the second book, as well. So, he holds all the power.

Considering Blake and Colleen reportedly banded together against him in the making of IEWU, it might not be easy for them to convince Justin to hand over the rights to someone else, or let them film it without his involvement (should that be the way they want to proceed). But they can try!

FWIW, Justin has gushed about Blake during his promo, even insisting that she’d be a better fit to direct the second movie if it gets made. So, he doesn’t seem totally opposed to it. But it would be complicated!

We could see a world in which he officially hands over the reins to Ryan Reynolds‘ wife, making it so they no longer have to fight about creative decisions. They could limit their interactions on set as much as possible to make it more bearable, too. Of course, that’s assuming nothing too serious happened and that Blake and the rest of the cast would be willing to be near the actor again.

It seems more likely right now that nobody would want to work with the Man Enough podcast host. So, what then? Well, they could always recast him! That would only make all this feud speculation worse, but it would avoid uncomfortable situations on set! He’d have to be willing to walk away, though, and with everyone’s egos being so big in Hollywood, it’s hard to know if he’d react well to that idea. Guess we’ll see!

It’s no secret Will and Camilla have never been the best of friends. Considering her affair with King Charles III amid his marriage to Princess Diana, that was always bound to be a complicated relationship!

The fam has put on a rather united front for the public lately. But apparently, things are still tense, even all these years later — and not just because of the affair! Recalling the moment William met Camilla when he was 17, royal expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly on Monday:

“She was shaking like a leaf. As soon as William left, she said she needed a gin and tonic.”

LOLz! WHUT??

While they’ve always seemed to get along in public, the Prince of Wales seemed to snub Camilla in July when he removed her sister Annabel Elliot (Charles’ chief interior designer) from the Duchy of Cornwall payroll. Andersen admitted there’s ongoing tension between the queen and future king, but he insisted it wasn’t meant to be a diss, arguing it was merely an “inevitable” business move, explaining, “William wants his own team in there.”

Meanwhile, two other sources told the outlet that William and Camilla have made great strides ever since Charles and Princess Catherine were diagnosed with cancer. A source said they have “a familial relationship these days,” while a friend of the Parker Bowles family elaborated:

“William has warmed up to Camilla over time.”

But they’re not out of the woods yet, per the first source:

“There’s a lot to overcome. William and Harry had always distrusted Camilla and felt resentment toward her because of their devotion to their mother. They never felt comfortable opening up to her in any real way.”

One reason Harry and William had issues with Camilla was amid claims she was giving the press negative stories about the royals to boost her image. The source acknowledged:

“William and Harry’s distrust grew when they found out Camilla was leaking stories to the press to make herself look better.”

In Spare, Harry even revealed both brothers had begged their father not to marry his now-wife. So that says a lot! Andersen said they’ve “put on a good front” publicly, “but I don’t think they were happy with Camilla stepping in.” But thanks to being united in their spat with Harry, Will and Camilla were able to grow closer.

A source said that when the Duke of Sussex parted the family in 2020, the other royals were able to put some of their differences aside, sharing:

“It brought them closer. William and Kate don’t want any extra drama or tension in the family — they have enough of that with Meghan [Markle] and Harry.”

Kate Middleton was reportedly a key factor in this reconciliation, the Parker Bowles family friend dished:

“It was really Kate who warmed William to Camilla.”

Catherine was supposedly accepting of Camilla long before the others, the first source added:

“She’s never been dismissive of Camilla and always treated her with kindness.”

Apparently, Will and Kate like Camilla’s down-to-earth personality, the insider added:

“They both like the fact that Camilla’s normal and makes Charles less stuffy. Kate likes her because she brings a real-life relatability into the family. She’s not all about the courtiers waiting on hand and foot. Camilla’s real like Kate is.”

But that may not be the full truth. The royal author had a VERY different opinion, claiming Camilla was initially opposed to Will and Kate marrying! Christopher claimed Camilla didn’t think Kate “was of their class,” revealing:

“Camilla’s a believer in aristocracy [and] kind of a snob.”

Oof! That had to have annoyed William! You know how protective he is of his wife! Fueled in part by that issue, the father of three still isn’t a huge fan of his stepmother but rather “tolerates her.” Ouch. Meanwhile, the author argued Camilla “has always been a little afraid of William.” Yeesh. Certainly sounds like they have a tricky dynamic!

At the end of the day, no matter their issues, William isn’t fighting his father’s romance anymore, the Parker Bowles family friend furthered:

“If his dad’s happy, William’s happy. Camilla and Charles get on so well and laugh all the time. Whenever you see them together, they’re having fun and giggling. That’s what William likes about Camilla — she warms his father up and brings out his human side.”

The source also defended their unusual arrangement which has Charles spending most of his time in Scotland while Camilla prefers staying in Wiltshire, England, where she can be close to her three grandkids (from her children from a previous marriage). The family friend insisted time apart like this is “totally normal in royal and aristocratic circles, and it works for them.” Now that the monarch is battling cancer, though, “she’s been looking after him” and they’ve spent much more time together. A confidant expressed:

“Camilla’s been taking great care of Charles.”

She’s also offered to help Kate with anything she may need during her treatment, as well, which has surely softened tensions with William. Christopher concluded:

“Charles’ illness has put Camilla’s devotion and dedication to her husband more in focus. And I’m sure William appreciates that.”

Health crises can definitely bring families together! Maybe not the whole family, but this is still progress.

According to a new report, Will is beyond angry with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle because they apparently refuse to refer to his wife Princess Catherine by her full name! That’s right — Harry and Meghan are said to still refer to Kate Middleton as “Kate” instead of “Catherine” or Princess Catherine. Seems minor, right? Well, that’s actually a HUGE problem for William!

According to The Daily Beast, the Prince of Wales first really picked up on the Kate/Catherine conundrum in the “get well soon” messages the Spare author and the Suits alum sent to the princess after her cancer diagnosis became public earlier this year.

The princess has been pretty adamant in recent years about wanting to be referred to as Catherine, her birth name, rather than the shortened Kate of which she was known for so many years. When she started dating and then married William, she rose her worldwide profile as part of the royal family as “Kate Middleton”. It’s only recently that anyone has begun calling her Princess Catherine, but it’s what she prefers apparently. Catherine is more official, more mature, more dignified — all that stuff. Especially as Catherine and William prep to one day ascend to the throne together!

But according to that outlet’s insider on Tuesday, Harry and Meghan referred to her only as Kate in their post-diagnosis well wishes earlier this year. And that was seen by William as an “entirely unnecessary and deliberate irritation.”

Ouch!!

As for why William is so angry at the perceived affront from his estranged brother and sister-in-law, the source explained:

“William takes offense at people calling Catherine ‘Kate’ because she has asked to be known as Catherine. It’s a fairly simple wish to respect. I’m sure Meghan wouldn’t like it if William started publicly calling her ‘Meghan Markle.'”

Are… we not supposed to call her Meghan Markle, either??

A close friend of William’s also spoke to the news outlet, levying this revelation about how the chosen name refusal points to much deeper issues between the brothers:

“The fact that Harry and Meghan were unable to bring themselves to use her chosen name, even when they were sending her get-well-soon messages after her cancer diagnosis, was noted.”

Oof!

Now, you might react to this like we did at first — which is to be amazed at how trivial the distinction is between Kate and Catherine. And especially among family members! It’s tough when you’ve known someone by one name for so long. But the Kate-Catherine debacle is a VERY long-standing issue for William. That first Daily Beast source explained how everyone very well knows “that it is one of the things that pushes his buttons.” So, why keep doing it if you know it’s going to piss William off?! This is a message in writing! You can edit it! It’s not a slip of the tongue!

That source continued:

“Pushing his buttons while he was going through his wife’s cancer seemed an entirely unnecessary and deliberate irritation. I wonder if the private card began, ‘Dear Kate…'”

“No one’s saying it’s responsible for all the trouble, but deliberately calling someone by a name they don’t like is just bloody rude. If Harry and Meghan were serious about healing their issue, a good first step would be to call her Catherine.”

Good point!!

And look, we get it, nicknames are a thing. “Robert” becomes “Rob” or “Bob” or “Bobby.” And “William” morphs into “Bill” or “Will” or “Billy.” So it goes! But if the person in question wants you to use their given name, and has been asking politely to be referred to by that name for a long time… why not just do it?! It’s the polite thing to do! Right?

As you know, the co-stars are feuding and have been for a bit. A lot of reports have circulated about what caused the feud, with a majority agreeing that it all came down to creative differences. However, some claimed it was because of Justin’s “borderline abusive” and overall problematic behavior on set. Yikes!!

Meanwhile, Blake was reportedly “rude” on set and took over the project from Justin. What further painted the Gossip Girl in a negative light? Many people slammed the way she handled the press tour for a movie about domestic violence. Several years-old interviews also have resurfaced showing her disrespectful and problematic behavior. Oof.

But regardless of her old interviews, it sounds like they are potentially both to blame for the on-set tension at the end of the day. Of course, we don’t 100 percent know what went down as Blake, Justin, and their other co-stars have not publicly spoken out about the rumors. Well, all except for Brandon Sklenar. He broke his silence regarding the scandal on Tuesday!

Taking to Instagram, the 34-year-old actor took a moment to “address all this stuff swirling online,” and in the process, DEFENDED Blake against those “vilifying” her online! While Brandon does not outright deny the rumors, he noted that he doesn’t want the film’s message that she and the other women believe in to get lost due to all the chatter:

“Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves. Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point. What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film. It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

The 1923 star went on to share that “someone very close to me has been struggling with a relationship that has mirrored Lilly’s [sic] closely.” And thus, he felt a “responsibility to bring this to life and help spread that message further.” Whoa. He continued:

“Prior to my involvement in this film, she had not heard of the book. It was only then that she read it. She credits Colleens book and subsequently this film with saving her life. There isn’t a single person Involved in the making of this film that was not aware of the responsibility we had in making this. A responsibility to all the women who have experienced generational trauma – Domestic abuse – Or struggle with looking in the mirror and loving who they see. This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their s**t together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions.”

Brandon stressed that the film was “meant to inspire,” “validate,” recognize,” and “instill hope” for everyone. And it was not intended to be used to “spread hate” online:

“It’s meant to build courage and help people feel less alone. Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the ‘bad guy,’ let’s move beyond that together. All I ask is that before you spread hate on the internet, ask yourself who its helping. Ask yourself if your opinions are based in any fact. Or if you simply want to be a part of something. Let’s be a part of something better together. A part of a new story being written for women and all people everywhere. Lead with Love and please be kind.”

Brandon notably tagged Blake, Isabela Ferrer, Jenny Slate, and author Colleen Hoover in the post — and not Justin. Sooo should we take this to mean he is Team Blake all the way? Hmm. Check it out (below):

We’ve heard extremes on both ends. A couple sources have said Justin body-shamed Blake with a comment about her weight! Even if he was trying to be tactful as we’ve heard, it was still horribly insulting to a woman who just gave birth to her fourth child. Others have said he was downright dictatorial and almost method acting as his abusive character. Yeesh.

On the other hand, production insiders have accused Blake and hubby Ryan Reynolds of hijacking the film from the less-well-known Justin so they could create a business opportunity for her.

We may never know the full extent either (or both) of these are true. But we have heard one juicy new tidbit. On her latest podcast DeuxMoi revealed she’s been getting tips about the movie set problems for months! Most of what she had in her back emails has already come out… Her sources mostly agreed Justin was tough to work with, with one saying he had a “huge ego” and wasn’t who he portrayed himself to be in public. Others corroborated the story about Blake and Ryan hiring their own editor out of pocket to make her cut of the movie — and though Justin’s tested better, Blake used her star power and friendship with author Colleen Hoover to get her way, telling Sony she wouldn’t promote the movie if they didn’t use her version. One even said she told them she’d get Taylor Swift to block them from using her song! DAMN!

But that’s all stuff we’ve pretty much heard before — not this one thing. An anonymous source from the set told Deux:

“Justin was a major d**k to everyone on set, and to top it off didn’t want any feedback from Blake when she had really great input. It got so contentious that they had to rehearse scenes apart with stand-ins and only actually saw each other for the actual scene shooting.”

Whoa! So when we’re hearing about factions developing on set, this wasn’t a secret thing. If these two wouldn’t even be on set together except for the filming when they absolutely had to, everyone would have known about it! Hell, she’s a producer on the movie, and he’s the director! This is worse than some of the other on-set conflicts we’ve followed lately then… and just might join the club of legendary star wars we’ve heard about over the years.

Here are a few other co-stars who refused to be on set together…

Jerome Flynn & Lena Headey

According to a tea-spilling Game Of Thrones crew member, Queen Cersei and Ser Bronn of the Blackwater are never in scenes together because the stars won’t even be in the same room!

Believe it or not, the two characters have never exchanged a word on the show, and have only ever been in the same shot once in a scene — without even looking at one another.

Fans will remember in the Season 7 finale Bronn leaves to “have a drink while the fancy folks talk.” And in Season 8, Episode 1 Cersei hires Bronn — but she sends her right hand man Qyburn to speak to him.

Rumor has it the actors, who briefly date IRL in 2002, had such a contentious breakup they now have to be kept apart at all costs.

We don’t know what they did to one another, but if they’re willing to make an entire TV production plan around them it must have been BAD.

The Rock and Vin Diesel

From their first meeting in Fast Five, Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs were on opposite sides of the law — but it turned out that animosity extended beyond the screen.

During the filming of the eighth movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, The Rock posted on social media about dealing with a “candy ass” on set. And it quickly became clear which costar he was talking about. Vin Diesel may have copped to the feud — but never to the initial reason. The closest we got was Johnson going on the record to Rolling Stone:

“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

The result of all of this seems to have been the delay of FF 9, with The Rock’s spinoff with Jason Statham, Hobbs And Show, being pushed into production next — much to the chagrin of Tyrese Gibson, who started his own beef over the need to get paid on another of these films.

We doubt if The Rock will even return to the franchise proper, especially now that Vin has announced his wrestling rival John Cena is joining the next installment.
He finished his statement to RS:

“Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be. But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have… Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”

Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts

I Love Trouble is largely forgotten, but the feud at its center will live in Hollywood infamy.

The 1994 film, about two reporters facing down danger to uncover a major crime, was meant to evoke the screwball romantic comedies of the 1940s, with Roberts and Nolte playing hated rivals who end up teaming up and then falling in love. However the enmity between the two stars was all too real.

According to Julia, her costar was abrasive and threw tantrums on set — and she did everything she could to stay away. Eventually despite their onscreen romance, the two had to be filmed separately with stand-ins! Years afterward the Pretty Woman star was quoted as calling Nolte “completely disgusting” in a NY Times interview. Nolte responded by saying:

“It’s not nice to call someone ‘disgusting.’ But she’s not a nice person. Everyone knows that.”

DAMN.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

This one is shocking as the costars famously dated after this incident.
But director Nick Cassavetes spilled the tea from behind the scenes of The Notebook about how one day Ryan Gosling refused to shoot with future girlfriend Rachel McAdams. He told VH1:

“Maybe I’m not supposed to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set. Really not. And Ryan came to me, and there’s 150 people standing in this big scene, and he says, ‘Nick come here.’ And he’s doing a scene with Rachel and he says, ‘Would you take her out of here and bring in another actor to read off camera with me?’ I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this.'”

“I’m just not getting anything from this”?? And she still dated him after that?!
We mean, he is Ryan Gosling, but still…

Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes

For those of you who don’t even remember Blade: Trinity, let us take you back to a time before Marvel Studios had nailed the comic book movie formula…

In 1998, Wesley Snipes slayed as Marvel Comics’ resident vampire hunter in the action-packed Blade. But by 2004, he had gotten a bit… difficult, from what we’ve heard. He reportedly stayed in character and would only communicate to the director via notes signed “Blade.” In one scene he infamously refused to open his eyes, and his eyes had to be added in later with CG! Really!

Enter Ryan Reynolds…

Long before he was playing Deadpool, he was always basically Deadpool. He was an action hero in the making who couldn’t help himself from improvising and cracking wise on set, ad-libbing in his own jokes. Ryan may get paid the big bucks to do just that these days, but it was something Snipes supposedly couldn’t take. Word is, he would only come to set for his closeups for scenes with Ryan, leaving him to film everything else by himself or with a stand-in.

But 20 years later Ryan extended an olive branch to his former co-star, asking him to reprise the role of Blade for a surprisingly big role in Deadpool & Wolverine! So we guess they’re all good now!

Channing Tatum and Emma Watson

Both stars made appearances in Seth Rogen‘s star-studded apocalypse comedy This Is The End — but their cameos originally overlapped! Towards the end of the film, Channing Tatum appears in a gimp mask as the sex toy of Danny McBride.

Apparently Emma Watson was supposed to be in that scene, too. But word is she looked around at what was happening, and it was just too much. Of course, most of the wild debauchery was in the script — but according to an extra, Channing breakdancing in his leather sex mask made her walk off set and call her agent. Costar James Franco pretty much confirmed the story later, though he graciously never mentioned Emma by name, telling the story to Interview magazine:

“This actress — I won’t say who, but she had a smaller role in the film — walked off the movie in the middle of a scene. What was going on around her was, I guess, too extreme for her… And she said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got to leave.'”

We understand saying no to that kind of a scene when you’ve got a squeaky clean Hermione image you want to protect — but why agree to a script with a giant devil penis and an impaled Michael Cera (separate scenes, LOLz!) in the first place??

Helen Hunt And Bill Paxton

This one you’d never be able to tell by the movie — because it technically wasn’t in the movie!

Long before its sequel, Twister was one of the first modern disaster movies and still one of the biggest hits. And at the center of the 1996 flick was a His Girl Friday-style love story about two divorced meteorologists played wonderfully by Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

But things on set didn’t have quite so happy an ending…

Rumors flew at the time the stars didn’t get along behind the scenes — which couldn’t have been helped by the fact Hunt hated shooting the movie altogether.
Years later she described the “nightmare” to Huffington Post, saying:

“They didn’t paint in the hail with the computer. They made a hail machine and dropped giant balls of ice on us. I mean, it was crazy… They had firehoses pointed at us, and you couldn’t hear anything, which is not the safest way to make a movie, so I was really happy to make it through in one piece.”

We’re not sure how Bill Paxton made it worse, but the two apparently did NOT get along. But Helen Hunt has been an actress since she was a child, and she was a professional and did her job… until they decided to make a ride.

The Twister… Ride It Out ride was a mainstay at Universal Studios in Orlando for 17 years. If you rode, you probably remember the filmed bits before the ride began, in which Helen and Bill warned you about the power of wind — only they didn’t do it together.

Yep, the stars acknowledge one another on different TV screens, and this wasn’t done to make use of the space.

No, the stars reportedly wouldn’t even film the brief scripted interaction together and had to be shot separately.
