An Indiana man pleaded guilty to aggravated battery after admitting he poisoned his wife. And the story behind that is… even more shocking.

According to newly revealed court documents accessed by USA Today and other outlets, 71-year-old Alfred Ruf (pictured above) pled guilty to aggravated battery during a court hearing in Richmond, Indiana back in July. Then, on Monday of this week, he was sentenced to four years in prison and five more years of probation.

According to prosecutors, the whole thing came about after Ruf got the idea to kill his longtime wife… so that he could marry his stepdaughter!

Per multiple outlets, Ruf told cops that he began “spiking” his wife’s drinks in January 2022. The substance he used, which authorities later determined to contain cocaine, MDMA, and benzodiazepines, was first given to him by his stepdaughter — the woman’s very own daughter.

The whole plot came undone when the wife began to suspect she was being drugged. She went to the cops with a pill bottle she found in her house that contained an unknown powdery substance with an “off-white residue.” They tested it, and also her blood and urine, and all samples came back with those three drugs. She denied ever using drugs herself — and so, the investigation was on.

The whole thing began to unravel rather quickly after that. When questioned, Ruf admitted he had been poisoning his wife in a wild bid to get with her daughter from a previous marriage. Ruf’s defense attorney told USA Today:

“Once the state changed the nature of the offense, he took responsibility for what he did wrong. That’s the appropriate thing to do.”

Uh… sure… better late than never, we suppose.

The motive for Ruf’s poisoning attempt is even crazier. Per prosecutors, Ruf admitted to being sexually involved with his stepdaughter, who is — thankfully — an adult at 31 years old. She was the one who gave him the pill bottle, he claimed, and she ordered him to put the substance in her mother’s Coca-Cola. But the stepdaughter has not been charged in connection with the crimes.

As for the reasoning behind it, prosecutors said Ruf and the stepdaughter, who has not been named publicly, were having sex — and were even keen on getting married after his wife was out of the picture. At various times, the stepdaughter — as well as an unidentified friend of hers — would call Ruf and ask him to come sprinkle the poison into the Coke cans. At that point, according to a police affidavit, all hell would break loose:

“Alfred would then sprinkle some of the white powder in (his wife’s) Coca-Cola can and then wait for her to fall asleep. [The two women] would then come to Alfred’s residence and put more of an unknown substance in (Ruf’s wife’s) drink and have her drink it.”

Then, with his wife knocked out cold — Ruf told cops she would usually be unconscious for 12-13 hours — the daughter and her friend would put on a “show” for the old man. Per court docs, the two younger women would wear the wife’s lingerie and perform “sex acts on each other” for Ruf to watch.

WTF?!?!?!

Ruf would pay the women for the sex acts, per cops. And to top it all off, the two women allegedly stole some of the unconscious wife’s personal items during those sex sessions, as well. Per the affidavit, the stepdaughter in question wanted to “get mom out of the picture” after first learning that Ruf and his wife were planning on selling their home. (Seems like we’ve been hearing a lot of unsettling news in that realm lately…) The stepdaughter was also apparently interested in a life insurance policy that was in place for her mother.

Ruf’s stepdaughter kept telling him they would get married after they “took care” of his wife, per court docs. So yes, Ruf did realize his wife would eventually die from the persistent powerful drug cocktails. In the end, he told interrogators he “felt bad” about what was going on and decided to come clean. Now he’s facing the prospect of spending some time in prison on these horrific charges.

The duo started their production company Artists Equity after the Bennifer wedding, meaning Ben’s stake is now community property in the divorce, according to TMZ. So the singer is entitled to financial interest from their films and could fight Ben for some of his stake in the company! With all that in mind, it got us thinking… If J.Lo’s friends never liked Ben, how did his friends feel about her?? Was everyone seeing the red flags or nah?!

Well, it turns out The Martian star was actually very open about how he felt about the lovebirds when they rekindled things. In 2021, Matt chatted with Extra on the red carpet of his movie Stillwater and he weighed in on the romance, sharing:

“I’m just so happy for him.”

So, not exactly a glowing report or any kind of comment on Jennifer herself. Just that he’s happy for his friend. Hmm. It seemed like such a sweet sentiment at the time, but looking back, was this a little cryptic? Was he purposefully not mentioning the other half of the relationship?? Hmm.

FWIW, the 53-year-old did acknowledge Jennifer a little later on — but he still kept his thoughts vague, adding:

“He’s the best. He deserves every happiness in the world. I’m glad for both of them.”

Huh.

By the way, this wasn’t the only time he commented on the relationship. In May of that year, before the romance was confirmed, he appeared on Today where Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb questioned him about the rumored sparks. He coyly teased:

“I just heard you guys. I was sitting here waiting to come on TV. It’s the first time I heard about it.”

But he did gush about them both, saying:

“It’s a fascinating story. I hope it’s true. I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome.”

Back then, Matt seemed to like the Hustlers alum, as far as we can tell. So we guess it was only her friends seeing the warning signs before anyone else!

But as Ben’s bestie, we wonder if Matt has a different opinion these days?? We mean, he must if he’s about to get caught in the middle of the divorce, right? And just imagine the horror stories he may have heard from his buddy as the marriage was deteriorating! He’s gotta have all the tea — and he’s clearly Team Ben all the way!

Matt’s been by Ben’s side throughout this whole split, and the pair have been spending a ton of time together both before and after the filing. From what we’ve heard Ben has been totally focused on work. Over the weekend, the father of three even seemed in good spirits as he joined The Instigators star, his wife Luciana Barroso, and their children for dinner in Los Angeles. So Matt’s loyalties haven’t changed! Romances can come and go but this bromance will never change.

This was already a horrifying story — and after this influencer brought the receipts, it only got more scary!

Eixchel Berroteran, AKA Eixchelb on TikTok, shocked her fans when she posted a carousel of graphic photos to her Instagram. The pics, which featured some serious injuries and bloodshed, were only the tip of the iceberg for this story. In the caption, the social media star alleged that her stepfather tried to kill her. Whoa!

While recalling the event she says took place just last Thursday, she explained (in her native Spanish):

“On the night of August 21, 2024 I was reborn, my ex stepdad (who didn’t live in my house) walked in with a gun saying he was going to kill me and said it was according to him, because ‘I didn’t want him and my mom to be together.'”

The viral star, who has amassed over 4.3 million followers TikTok, went on to detail just what she says happened. She wrote:

“It was all like this, I wait for my mom at the door of the apartment and he entered my house without permission and saying he was going to kill me, He pulled out a gun pointing at my mom and saying he was going to kill me. He pushed her in the living room and entered my room. He pointed the gun at me, I jumped to the floor asking him to please do nothing, intending to get under the bed, but it was very low and I decided to crawl towards him asking him to stop screaming and at that moment I heard the shot left me stunned; but my mom who was already behind him forcing him so the shot didn’t reach me.”

OMG! So, according to her, he just barged in and started attacking?! So scary…

Eixchel continued to say the bullet missed her by mere centimeters — and credited divine intervention for keeping her safe:

“That night… the worst of my entire Life, God gave me another chance. When missing the shot by CENTIMETERS… I was stunned, in shock and with fear to think that those would be my last moments of life; at that moment God gave me the strength to stand and defend myself with my mom.”

She added that her stepfather “bit” her mother as they struggled. In a heroic turn of events, the influencer alleged she and her mom fought back and took control of the situation:

“The love we have for each other gave us the strength to control the situation, we arrived by force into the kitchen where we fell, my mom and I stayed on top of it, trying to defend ourselves as we could. He bit my mom and pulled my hair with a lot of force, we both cried for help but until that moment no one listened, he kept insisting on shooting me and between the two we grabbed above him his hand where he held the gun and always wanted to point at me, one person touched the door but he made us tell him to leave.”

He’s even being accused of intimidation, allegedly telling the women not to go to police or else their would be consequences:

“He threatened us saying that if we called the police it would all be over, he also said that he had contacts in the police and that if we reported… he had bully friends and this wasn’t going to stay like this.”

SO disturbing. Just truly awful.

Eixchel went on to say she doesn’t know how she’ll ever “overcome this nightmare” because her trauma is much more than “physical injuries”:

“God interceded for us that night, I can only say thank you for another chance. In my mind, it was just that if it was going to kill me… my mom was going to have that trauma forever and if I killed my mom I was never going to be able to handle it. Today I can tell you that trauma hurts more than physical injuries, and that I really don’t know how I will ever overcome this nightmare. No one deserves to live what me and my mom lived and don’t ever think this is something that can happen to you.. until it’s happening. I ask you to pray a lot for us and that justice is served. On my part I promise you that when I manage to heal even just a little.. i will become the voice of all the people who have been victims of abuse, abuse and in this case.. almost murdered.”

Heartbreaking, but how noble to dedicate herself into becoming a voice for victims after this experience. That takes so much strength.

Eixchel wrapped up her post by saying she can’t give much more info because it is an open investigation, but she hopes God can give her “the strength to move on”:

“At this time, it’s a Criminal Investigation case so I won’t be able to give specific details. There are no words to describe the terror, pain, trauma, anxiety and panic attacks this has caused us.. Only God knows why I’m still here and I ask him to give me the strength to move on and that at some point he can heal my heart.”

Gut-wrenching. Those poor, poor women.

Eixchel’s stepfather was arrested and charged with attempted murder, two counts of burglary with assault or battery, false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm, attempted evidence tampering, and felony battery. The probable cause arrest affidavit, as obtained by Law&Crime, reveals the mother’s side of the story which matches Eixchel’s. It also included the disturbing details of how Luis bit his wife all over her body while she attempted to fight him off with a wine bottle. The influencer’s photos show one of those awful bite marks.

Per local outlet WPLG, eventually the women were able to get him to calm down and talk, but police said the suspect “kept a hold of [Eixchel] by the hair while sitting on the couch, not allowing her to exit” the place. He’s also alleged to have made the mom and daughter “clean up the scene” where he’d just allegedly battered them. Disgusting.

The ladies said it took an entire day to work up the courage to contact police after Luis allegedly threatened the two of them with hitmen. Luckily for the TikToker and her mother, though, the stepdad is being held in prison without bond.

Just horrifying. We’re so glad Eixchel and her mother survived. May they get the justice they deserve.

In case you missed it, the Blossom alum’s estranged wife, Samantha Cope, filed for divorce after only two years of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, nothing too shocking. However, we soon learned something more scandalous possibly happened that caused the breakup! It came out that Joey allegedly had an affair with his Socked In For Christmas co-star, Melina Alves! What?!

The shocking accusation came from her estranged husband, Edward Rider, in his divorce documents filed last month! He claimed he found out about the cheating in late March.

As for Samantha? She has not publicly addressed the affair rumors. However, a source for People claimed last week that Joey “continued to date Melina even after Samantha found out about it and confronted him.” So awful! The insider then claimed the 37-year-old actress “wanted to go to counseling” afterward, but he “fooled their counselor” and got “ready for dates with Melina while Sam watched, bawling her eyes out” instead. We wouldn’t blame Samantha if this is why she left Joey! This sounds like a horrible situation! Who treats their wife so callously? Jeez!

However, a source then told the outlet on Sunday that “infidelity isn’t the cause” of their divorce “not by a long shot.” Well, it’s not exactly a denial of the allegations! But you know who is flat-out denying them now? The alleged mistress herself!

On Wednesday, Melina Alves took to Instagram to insist “there was no sexual relationship” between her and Joey while filming the holiday movie. Instead, she says they just struck up a “meaningful friendship” on set. Hmm. She wrote:

“It is with a deep sadness and heavy heart that I must address the recent allegations about the relationship between myself and Joey Lawrence, which have unfortunately become a public matter. As a private person, it is deeply distressing to see such personal and sensitive issues being discussed so openly and inaccurately. First and foremost, I want to clarify that there was no sexual relationship between Joey and myself while we were on set filming Socked in for Christmas. Our relationship was a meaningful friendship that developed naturally due to the many similarities in our personal situations. When I met Joey, I was immediately struck by his kindness, warmth and genuine character. We found common ground in our shared experiences, which led to a strong supportive friendship that has been a source of strength for both of us.”

OK, obviously the way she’s describing Joey is very… intimate. But we also can’t just drive by this wording here. She says “there was no sexual relationship between Joey and myself while we were on set filming Socked in for Christmas.” While we were on set filming. That’s a hell of a qualifier, right? She’s not saying “there is no sexual relationship” or “there has been no sexual relationship.” She’s saying specifically not at that time and place. It feels like the way a politician answers a question, right? Someone really cooked that answer for legal reasons, right??

When it comes to her own marriage, Melina claimed she and Edward have been “estranged” since January 2023 and “living in separate rooms” since then:

“Our marriage had been struggling for some time, and the separation was a necessary step for both of us. I have always valued my privacy, and it is incredibly painful to have such personal matters thrust into the public eye in a way that has caused harm not only to me but also to Joey, who has been unjustly dragged into this situation.”

Melina wrapped up the lengthy post, noting she made the “difficult and deeply personal decision” to obtain a temporary restraining order against her ex. Whoa. She doesn’t provide more explanation into her decision, other than to say Edward “has presented situations that necessitated” her to get the restraining order and “protect” herself during “a time of vulnerability.” Read the full statement (below):

Do you think Joey and Melina were really pals and nothing more? Melina’s estranged hubby doesn’t! Sources close to Edward told TMZ on Wednesday her statement about them being estranged is BS! In fact, the pair allegedly were still living together earlier this year. We mean, she did note they were “living in separate rooms” under the same roof — not living separately in different houses. So both could be true. Just saying!

However, the insiders claim she went “ballistic” when he filed to end their marriage and ran to the court to get the restraining order, which he thinks will be thrown out. We’ll see! But he clearly believes she cheated on him, no matter what she says! Despite the drama, the outlet reported Edward is solely concerned about the well being of his kid moving forward.

Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones is breaking his silence six months after filing his bombshell lawsuit against Diddy.

Back in February, the music producer launched a shocking lawsuit against the Bad Boy Records founder, alleging everything from sexual harassment and sexual assault to being drugged, groped, forced to sleep with sex workers, not getting paid for his work on the rapper’s 2023 record The Love Album: Off the Grid, as well as much, much more. On Monday, Diddy’s camp attempted to have the lawsuit dismissed in Manhattan federal court. But now, Rodney is hitting back.

In a sprawling conversation with Rolling Stone published on Tuesday, the plaintiff alleged that in the wake of his filing, it’s been near impossible for him to find work in the industry:

“Because of this lawsuit, most people don’t want to come near working with me for whatever reasons, whether they’ve been in partnership with Puff or they want to just sit back and see what happens. He’s a gatekeeper in the music industry.”

He added:

“In this industry, to be successful, you have to have worked with someone like him or Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Kanye or 50 Cent. So many people I’ve worked with have had business deals with him. I reached out to try to get a deal for my album, and people don’t want to get involved.”

Obviously, if that’s true, that’s a pretty raw deal for somebody who has up to this point made his livelihood in music…

The producer speculated:

“People are too scared, whatever their reasons are, to touch this. My name is all over the [Love Album] credits, so I had to have done some producing. It got a Grammy nomination. And I’m sitting here doing nothing, unable to work. This is not right.”

And seemingly amid all the legal fees and lack of income, Rodney has hit a wall:

“I’m broke. I have no source of income right now. Every month I’m trying to figure out how the bills are going to get paid.”

Oof. That’s awful!! He cited a show that he did for Juneteenth at the Hollywood Bowl with T-Pain, but noted that showing his face there amid the ongoing legal issues was nothing short of terrifying:

“Doing that show, I had a couple mental breakdowns. I almost felt like it was too soon for me to try to come back outside to work. My anxiety was out the roof. I saw different guys backstage I didn’t know and got scared. I wondered where the security was. It made me very uncomfortable. It’s not a good feeling wondering if someone was there to attack me.”

He added:

“I’ve got three therapists. Everybody saw the video of Cassie. This is who I’m dealing with.”

Poor dude! Looking over your shoulder like that must be exhausting… Especially when he was just trying to make some money to afford his bills! And Rodney clearly feels wronged for being ousted from the biz, because he feels that all he’s trying to do is bring “justice” for himself and others affected by Diddy. He told the news org:

“Here I am standing up for justice, for what I believe is right for my life, and I’m being punished for that. I’m blackballed, for sure. I’ve had many nights and weeks and months of suicidal thoughts. It’s the music that has kept me living all my life.”

“Suicidal thoughts”? Oof. That’s just SO horrible that he’s been driven to that point.

Speaking directly about Diddy, he added:

“He’s a monster. He’ll do whatever is necessary to get exactly what he wants. He doesn’t take no for an answer. He [told me] himself, ‘I’ll smack my mama.’ Anybody who can say that even jokingly is a monster. He’s nothing to be played with. For a person whose brand is Love Records, and changed their name to Love and named their kid Love, he doesn’t show love. He’s just marketing.”

Unfortunately, though, according to a report from In Touch Weekly, Channing’s weekend was filled with frustration. His partying was brought to an abrupt halt when he had to stop and sign some legal docs for his court battle with ex Jenna Dewan.

As Perezcious readers know, the divorce has gotten messier over the past few months, reportedly over Magic Mike money. But he can’t even go to a house party without having to work on it? Oof!

As for what these filings were about? According to the outlet, the papers were the 44-year-old firing back at his ex-wife’s attempt to disqualify his divorce lawyers.

Jenna apparently claimed he used the same firm during their marriage, so there’s a conflict, and these papers he signed over the weekend were his rebuttal. In the docs, the actor accused Jenna of attempting to disqualify his lawyers as a “transparent attempt to divert the court’s attention from her willful violation of her court order deposition and discovery deadlines, delay these proceedings and to prejudice [Channing] by ousting his lead trail counsel less than three months before trial on a case that has been pending for more than six years.”

He also said the firm he hired never once represented his ex:

“Neither law firm has ever had any possession of any of Petitioner’s confidential information. And, there is no applicable legal authority to support Petitioner’s claim that the attorney-client privilege extends to a spouse of a minority shareholder of a business entity.”

The 21 Jump Street star’s lawyer also jumped in and accused the professional dancer of just trying to delay the case from progressing:

“Contrary to [Jenna’s] claims, [Channing] has fully complied with his discovery obligations and thus, that is not and cannot be a basis to delay the Court-ordered depositions and discovery or other Court-ordered deadlines any further. [Jenna] has known about Glaser Weil’s co-representation of [Channing] in this action with Blank Rome since May 2024. Yet, she waited until the eve of [Jenna’s] deposition (two months later) to make the baseless allegations.”

Channing is asking that Jenna’s motion to try and get his lawyers sacked be denied, as well as sanction her $20k for her motion and to “deter such obstreperous conduct in the future”. Oof. Yeah, we can’t imagine all that was very much fun taking care of during a T-Swizzle house party. “Oh sorry can’t hit the pool right now, gotta look over divorce papers…”

Ben Affleck‘s rumored new girlfriend Kick Kennedy has a strange backstory for an environmental activist!

It’s no secret that Kick’s father Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has shared some pretty unusual tales amid his failed presidential run, but this one that his own daughter revealed years ago?? It’s maybe the grossest… even potentially incriminating!!

Back in 2012, Kick reflected on her childhood with Town & Country, sharing a story that demonstrated how she inherited her father’s similar “eccentric environmentalism,” as the outlet put it. When she was just 6, she claimed in the profile, a whale washed up on Squaw Island in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Her father loved to study animal skulls and skeletons, so he raced down to the beach — to get the whale’s head! Yes, you read that right. He drove down, with the kids, and he CUT OFF THE WHALE’S HEAD WITH A CHAINSAW! Yikes!

Remember, Kick was there, just a little girl! So he not only decided to cut off this whale’s head, which sounds ghoulish enough… He brought his kids along! ICK!

RFK then bungee-corded it to the family’s minivan — where it stayed for a five-hour drive to Mount Kisco, New York. OMG! The 36-year-old recalled riding down home with this thing on the roof:

“Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet. We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us.”

Jeez!!

How was that normal?! This is an absurd story in and of itself, but as mentioned, it could be illegal, too!!

The Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund is up in arms now that this story has resurfaced. The group’s national political director, Brett Hartl, even urged the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to investigate. He wrote a letter to government officials on Monday, noting it’s illegal to possess “any part of an animal” protected by the Marine Mammal Protection and Endangered Species acts, which includes several whale species. He noted that “continued possession of any whale skull” would be an ongoing violation of the law.

Also, transporting a skull across state lines would be a “felony violation” of the 1900 Lacey Act, “which prohibits the transportation of any wildlife, dead or alive, that was reduced to possession in violation of any state, federal or international regulation or law.” Per Axios, Brett continued:

“Normally, an unverified anecdote would not provide sufficient evidence as the basis for conducting an investigation.”

But wild animal stories like this aren’t exactly new for this hopeful politician:

“However, Mr. Kennedy has admitted that he has recklessly — and with no regard to legal requirements — taken other species of wildlife for his own personal benefit.”

Earlier this month, before dropping out of the presidential race, Robert revealed he covered up the death of a bear after a woman hit and killed it. He’d planned to “skin” and eat the bear cub, but when he ran out of time to go home and drop the dead animal off before other plans, he decided to leave it in Central Park instead, where he made it look like the creature got hit by a bike. Yeah, he openly admitted to all of this (below), so that’s why this activist group is so concerned!

This is after that photo of him allegedly eating a roasted dog came out… This is just… wow. Three dead animal stories in just a few months. And we wouldn’t even have heard of this one if Kick hadn’t apparently started dating Ben Affleck! So the question comes to mind…

While they’re hoping for a full investigation and any necessary consequences, at the very least, the organization wants RFK Jr. to surrender “any and all illegally obtained wildlife that he continues to possess.” So far, he hasn’t reacted to his renewed controversy. If you haven’t kept up with the drama online, here’s the deal. Last year, screenshots of the 23-year-old TikTok star repeatedly using the N-word on the website ASKfm back in 2014 appeared on the “Alix Earle Snark” page on Reddit. However, it wasn’t until a year later, when the posts resurfaced on TikTok and other subreddits this month, that Alix started facing a ton of backlash online.

What made the whole situation worse? Not only did she remain silent on the offensive comments when the controversy started, but she allegedly trademarked them to stop others from continuing to share them! Yeah, you read that correctly. According to two podcasters, Alix TRADEMARKED her posts using a racial slur! What the f**k.

Jessi Smiles and Lily Marston claimed in their Do We Know Them? podcast earlier this month that the content creator’s legal team accused them of violating their copyright when screenshots of her racist posts popped up in their subreddit — which they do not own or moderate. Jessi explained:

“Her lawyer contacted us and said that we have violated their copyright. People posted screenshots of [her racist posts] in our subreddit, and her lawyer said that they have a trademark to that. We don’t moderate it, we don’t have any access to it.”

In what world does someone think it was OK to trademark that?! Especially when that same person hadn’t even apologized or at least said something about their problematic comments at that time! What a disgusting move. Watch the podcast episode (below):

Now, after weeks of silence, Alix is speaking out about the controversy in a statement posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday. First off, Braxton Berrios’ girlfriend admitted she DID use the racial slur multiple times and apologized for the “hurt” she caused. She wrote:

“A couple of weeks ago, screenshots surfaced from my old ask.fm account showing me using a slur in the summer of 2014. I am taking accountability and want to make it clear that I was 13 years old and did not understand the deeply offensive meaning behind that word. That is no excuse for using that word in any context or at any age. That is absolutely not the way I speak or what I stand for. I am deeply sorry that my words have hurt many and have led people to believe that I have any prejudice in my heart. I promise you that could not be further from the truth. My platform has always focused on positivity, entertainment, and uplifting others, and will continue to do so. I am sincerely sorry to those I have offended.”

As for why she took so long to address the scandal? Alix claimed she received bad “advice” not to say anything:

“I regret how I handled this situation, allowing too many people to talk me out of saying something for too long. I wasn’t sure how to handle it and unfortunately the advice I was given, although well intended, was wrong. There is no one to blame but myself for not standing my ground and going with my gut to speak right away. In the absence of my addressing this, my silence allowed others to fill the void with rumors that simply aren’t true.”

As we mentioned, one of those claims was that she trademarked her older posts. However, Alix insisted that part is “absolutely ridiculous and untrue.” Hmm. She continued:

“Another is that a brand announced they are no longer working with me, even though we have never been in conversations with them about a partnership in any capacity. Regardless of what’s being said online, I wanted to come on here to address the facts and most importantly apologize.”

After the statement dropped, Jessi and Lily addressed her claim that she never trademarked her posts — with receipts. They told Variety on Monday night:

“While we cannot speak to the legitimacy or existence of any trademarks or copyrights, we can confirm that we received an email from an entity identifying itself as WEB SHERIFF. This entity claimed to act as the rights agent for Alix Earle, and had written the email to notify us of 11 different alleged infringements and violations. The email was signed by John E. Henehan LL.B., who asserted under penalty of perjury that he is ‘either the intellectual property rights owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owners of the exclusive rights that are allegedly infringed.’”

The two continued:

“The email referenced a user created post on a fan-run subreddit for our podcast, a page over which we have no authorship or control. The post in question, linked within the email, featured screenshots of Earle’s unfavorable past comments on AskFM, which had already been circulating online. The email purports that this post is guilty of a laundry list of violations including but not limited to Copyright Infringement, Human Rights Violations, and Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering Violations. It’s important to note that we received this notice despite every post on the subreddit featuring a clearly visible disclaimer stating that we are in no way affiliated with the subreddit or any of its content. In fact, we were unaware of the existence of the post in question prior to receiving this email notification.”

Jessi and Lily went on to point out that the email potentially “was sent without her knowledge or authorization,” adding:

“If that is the case, while unfortunate and out of her control, it would certainly be in her best interest to clarify that to set the record straight.”

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the reality star filed to end her five-year marriage to her estranged husband on Tuesday! She cited the age-old “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. As fans know, the couple revealed their separation back in February. However, in the court documents, Brittany gave a specific date of separation — January 24, 2024.

When it comes to the custody situation with their 3-year-old son Cruz? The Valley star is seeking primary legal and physical custody, but she is willing to give Jax visitation rights. She also asked the court not to award spousal support to either of them.

As for their assets? Per Page Six, Brittany asked to keep all properties she acquired either by gift or inheritance, as well as before marriage or after the date of separation. The specific nature and debts “have not been ascertained at this time.” The pair’s community assets will be figured out later.

At this time, Jax has not addressed the massive update in their split. Considering Jax left his mental health treatment center this month to film The Valley, though, we bet we’ll get the entire rundown of his real reaction on the show once it airs! Won’t that be something…

After everything Brittany went through in her relationship with Jax, between the cheating, lying, and fighting, we feel safe in saying every Vanderpump Rules fan is shouting that IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME!
